A superb choice for large families or groups of friends, this delightful house is perfect for a relaxing rural retreat, yet is only 4 miles from the historic town of Kinross. Here you’ll find a selection of independent shops and places to eat, plus two well-regarded, 18-hole golf courses. Kinross sits on the beautiful banks of Loch Leven, and walkers and cyclists will love the Loch Leven Heritage Trail which encircles the loch, offering around 13 miles of scenic views from a level trail which includes picnic spots and bird hides. In the summertime, visitors can take a ferry from Kinross Pier to see the ruins of Loch Leven Castle on a small island in the loch – where Mary, Queen of Scots was imprisoned in 1567. For a day out in the city, with great shops and places to eat, Perth is just 16 miles away.
This escape has been thoughtfully designed with tranquil, co-ordinating colours, high-quality, modern furnishings and beautiful artworks, lighting and accessories. Take two steps up to the front door and hang coats and kick of shoes in the hallway. Enter the bright, open-plan living area, where huge French doors frame irresistible views towards Loch Leven. When you’re ready to sit back and relax, spread out on the plush sofas and, if you’re in need of additional entertainment, there’s a Smart TV for streaming your favourite movies and box sets. In the centre of the room is a comfortable dining area, and at the far end is a beautifully crafted, painted kitchen that includes an induction hob and a microwave, making cooking holiday meals quick and easy. One of the four bedrooms – a tranquil king-size with ample storage – is on the ground floor, boasting direct access onto the outside decking. Completing this level is a stunning family bathroom with a free-standing bath and separate shower. Cottage-style stairs lead to the first floor, where there are three further bedrooms, all light, airy and very inviting. The spacious double bedroom has a lovely balcony with a bistro set, ideal for a morning coffee or a sundowner as you admire the views. Completing this fabulous interior is a family shower room.
French doors in the lounge lead directly out onto the large deck, which has steps down to the fully enclosed garden. A gravel path leads you to a private hot tub and a paved dining area with a charcoal BBQ. The huge lawn is ideal for family games or for dogs to run freely as adults enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. You’ll also have the benefit of secure storage for outdoor gear, and fully enclosed, off-road parking for 5 cars next the house.
