Rest and relax at this charming cottage just outside Castleton, an ideal choice for couples or a small family seeking a quiet base for outdoor adventures in the Peak District National Park. Local amenities, including traditional pubs, are within 500 metres, and Peak Cavern, Speedwell Cavern, Blue John Cavern, and Treak Cliff Cavern are all less than 2 miles away. The Peak District location offers opportunities for walking, running, cycling, climbing and paragliding. Hikers will find the iconic Mam Tor and Winnats Pass are less than 2 miles away, and Bamford Edge is 6 miles away. For history and food enthusiasts, Bakewell, home to the famous Bakewell pudding, and the magnificent Chatsworth House and Gardens are must-visit attractions (both are less than 15 miles away). Alternatively, spend the day exploring the ancient woodland and mixed habitats around Longshaw Meadow at National Trust Padley Gorge, within 10 miles.

Walk through the beautiful, long social areas, and you arrive at a sleek, contemporary kitchen with all the appliances you need to prepare a late brunch or romantic dinner. The breakfast bar for two is ideal for a morning coffee, or you can head into the dining room. On the left-hand side of a second hallway is a contemporary bathroom, and next to this, the bedroom, which features plenty of storage and a flexible zip & link king size bed. At the far end of the property is the lounge – a large and inviting living room with characterful exposed beams, curved walls and plenty of comfortable seating on which to unwind. In the original fireplace is a wood burner, perfect for lighting on cooler evenings while watching your favourite movie on the Smart TV. With a beautiful, big bay window including a window seat, this attractive lounge is an ideal space for relaxing and planning your outdoor adventures. From the back door in the dining space, step out into the pretty private lower patio, perfect for al fresco summer breakfasts.
