This stunning property is set on a 30 acre smallholding in the heart of the Devon countryside. The nearby village of Chulmleigh is a delight with its shops, pubs, riding stables and golf course just a short distance away. Further afield are the sandy beaches of Saunton and Woolacombe. Or enjoy the splendour of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Other attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens and the Cobbaton Combat Museum. For outdoor enthusiasts there are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities why not hire bikes or take a ride on part of the pretty Tarka Train Line providing easy access to both Barnstaple and Exeter.
On stepping into the property, you immediately notice the spaciousness, with the high ceilings and exposed beams to add to that feeling of space. This property is furnished and equipped in a contemporary style and benefits from underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is great for families and friends to cook, eat and relax together with comfy sofas, a Smart TV, a warming wood burner and plenty of windows to let the light in, it’s a great place to stay at any time of the year. The kitchen area has an island unit and is well-equipped with an electric double oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A utility area with a WC, a washing machine and tumble dryer can also be found on the ground floor with. There are three bedrooms in total, the first of which is a super-king-size with en-suite shower room with shower and WC which can be found on the ground floor. Stepping outside there is a private patio and enclosed lawn garden to enjoy your evenings. Guests are also welcome to explore the 7 acres of woodland and by arrangement with the owner, meet some of the farm animals. A walk across the meadow leads down to the fenced wildlife pond which has a cosy shelter with an undercover dining area (guests are welcome to take their own food and drink), which can be booked for exclusive use with the owner.
