Hectors is a one-bedroom apartment in a period building on Castle Donington High Street, in the heart of the East Midlands. Original stonework, exposed timber beams, a traditional fireplace, and carefully restored period features give the apartment its character, while modern amenities provide a comfortable stay. Sleeping up to two guests in a king bedroom, it`s well suited to couples, travellers using nearby East Midlands Airport, and visitors to Donington Park.

The apartment combines original features with practical comforts, including a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, Ethernet connection, and a dedicated workspace. Guests staying on Friday and Saturday also receive a complimentary cocktail from the adjacent cocktail bar and have access to its garden terrace.

The Space

The living room offers a comfortable place to relax, with a corner sofa, Smart TV, and a traditional fireplace set within an exposed brick surround. Original timber beams and a skylight retain the character of the building, while room-darkening blinds and portable fans help keep the apartment comfortable throughout the year. A dedicated workspace with Wi-Fi (up to 70 Mbps download) and Ethernet is also available for guests who need to stay connected.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes an oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle, and cooking essentials. Dishes, cutlery, wine glasses, tea, and coffee are also provided.

The bedroom features a king-size bed, exposed stone walls, a crystal chandelier, and French doors leading to the garden terrace. Room-darkening blinds, clothing storage, extra pillows, and blankets are provided to help guests settle in comfortably.

The bathroom includes a walk-in glass shower, matte black fittings, geometric floor tiles, and exposed timber beams. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and shower gel are provided.

Outside, guests are welcome to use the outdoor dining area and the garden terrace of the adjacent cocktail bar.

Please note that live music is played nearby on Friday and Saturday evenings until approximately 11:30 pm, so some noise may be heard during these times.

Location

Castle Donington is a friendly village with a range of independent cafés, pubs, restaurants, and shops within walking distance of the apartment. St Edward`s Church is located next door, and the adjacent cocktail bar is just a few steps away.

Donington Park is around a 10-minute drive away, making the apartment a convenient place to stay for race weekends, concerts, and festivals. The surrounding Derbyshire and Leicestershire countryside also offers walking and cycling routes, along with nearby towns and villages to explore.

East Midlands Airport – approximately 5 minutes by car or 8 minutes by bus
Donington Park – approximately 10 minutes by car
Derby city centre – approximately 15 minutes by car
Nottingham city centre – approximately 20 minutes by car

Local pubs, cafés, restaurants, and shops – within walking distance

Free on-street parking and public car parks are available nearby for guests arriving by car.

Booking Policy

Full payment is due 30 days before arrival and will be charged automatically to the card on file. If payment cannot be processed, it must be completed within 24 hours or the booking may be cancelled. Card processing fees of up to 3% are non-refundable if a booking is cancelled after payment.

Guests are not required to pay a damage deposit in advance. However, we reserve the right to charge up to £200 to the payment card on file for any damage caused during the stay.

Optional extras, including early check-in, late check-out, and add-on packages, are non-refundable once booked.

Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations made 30 or more days before arrival.
50% refund for cancellations made 14–30 days before arrival.
No refund for cancellations made within 14 days of arrival.
