We loved our stay!

Cozy, comfortable and secluded! Perfect for couples or families. Close to wineries yet far enough out of city to see some awesome stars at night. We will definitely stay here again!

It was a wonderful stay for our girl’s trip. It was a great location for being a few miles from town and super close to many local wineries. We also really enjoyed the spa and house amenities.

Nice getaway and location, but lots of care needed. Dead scorpions in multiple areas of house. Gas grill broken and unsafe to operate. Ice maker broken with no attempt to rectify. Hot tub would not warm fully.

Relaxation at its best

This house is a must if your looking for a quiet relaxing time near Fredericksburg. Very quiet and the pool and hot was awesome. At night we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and watching the beautiful stars at night. Real close to town and wineries. We plan on coming back soon!

Great Country Home Close to Wineries

We came to Fredericksburg for a ladies' friend trip to visit the town for shopping, winery tours, and great eats! This home perfectly met our needs and sleeping arrangements. The property was clean and the check in process was very easy. The inground pool was the perfect size for us being a sport pool size and also the hot tub was great for the evenings to relax. There were only 3 pool towels for the 5 of us, that was our only complaint to have more towels for the pool. The beds were on the firm side but comfortable and the air conditioning worked well in the Texas summer heat after the initial cool down of the home. The surroundings were very peaceful and such a serene environment for this home. Thanks for a great stay! We would love to come back to visit Fredericksburg and this property again sometime.

Absolutely Wonderful!

We loved this house!! Everything was perfect. It is located close to several wineries...of course there are wineries everywhere! The house was clean. The beds were comfortable. Amazing pool and hot tub. It has everything we needed or wanted. The patio had plenty of seating. We loved sitting on the patio in the morning, watching the cattle next door. Listening to the neighbor's rooster crow. What a totally peaceful experience! We'll be back!

Absolutely Awesome Stay

My husband and I needed a peaceful, relaxing getaway to forget the stresses of work, and we were not disappointed. We spent our days exploring Fredericksburg and our evenings relaxing in the hot tub and/or pool at Das Steinhaus. All the amenities Absolute Charm provided made for a very comfortable, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. And we loved the seclusion. Thanks Absolute Charm.

Pool is a nice addition

We've stayed at this site several times, but this is the first time we've seen the new pool. I love the pool!! It was very refreshing to come back to in the middle of July. The location is perfect for visiting all the sites.

Wine Tour Stay

Had a great time. Vrbo was located in perfect location to visit the wineries on HWY 290 . Just a few mins from town. Vrbo was cute and clean. Everything exactly as stated in listing, comfy couches. Nice and private. Used the jacuzzi and it was great. We’ll definitely be back!.

Wonderful Girls Weekend

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming, cozy house. It was very close to the wineries and a short drive to downtown. We loved the remote feel and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The house had everything we needed and it was exactly as pictured. The hot tub and fire pit were nice to relax after a long day. Owners were very responsive. Will definitely be back!

Short Getaway

Reserved this home for a couple nights during a visit to Fredericksburg and Lukenbach. Great location off 290. Had two couples in our group and house was perfect size for everyone. Upstairs is private and allowed some separation. Property was very clean and needed amenities were provided. Got a chance to use the hot tub which was clean as well and easy to operate. Great outdoor area. Would definitely stay again.

The home and pool were quite dirty. The pool had a pipe, paper towels, trash, dirt, and dead bugs in it. We tried to clean it ourselves first but the brush didn't work. We reached out and asked for them to come clean it and were brushed off so it was not cleaned during our stay. The home also had quite a few dead bugs throughout and the floors had not been mopped in some time as our socks were all so dirty just from walking around the home. It was a disappointing experience as far as the home. The location worked out well for us, about 10 minutes from Fredericksburg but we enjoyed seeing the cows, armadillos, etc during our stay there. I don't like leaving negative reviews and thought about this one before writing a review at all but I felt like it needed to be transparent.

Loved the Property!

My family enjoyed the house and pool. The acreage surrounding the house ensured that my young children did not disturb the neighbors. The house was clean and all the appliances worked. The location made it easy to enjoy Fredericksburg and the local wineries. The pool was relaxing after a long day of running around. I would definitely recommend Das Steinhaus and look forward to bringing the family back.

Girl’s trip

This rental was perfect and mostly what we expected! The only complaints I had were the beds upstairs were very noisy and uncomfortable. We were only left 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and 4 trash bags which wasn’t near enough for 6 of us. Overall the place was great and we had a wonderful time and would stay here again!

Lovely Getaway

This was a perfect getaway spot for me and my husband! Overall the house was lovely. It was clean, uncluttered and aesthetically pleasing. But, the cleaning crew could have done a better job sweeping the floor. The house was secluded and close to pastures with cattle and vineyards which was serene and relaxing. So, expect the flys that go along with farm animals. We would definately stay there again!

Great Texas Hill Country Experience

We arrived at the property before check-in time just to see where it was. We then drove into Fredericksburg to look around. I was initially disappointed that the house was more than 10 miles away. Guess what, after checking in we never went back into Fredericksburg. The area where the house is provided all we needed. Beautiful, uncrowded wineries all around, hot tub, cows, goats, Luckenbach, ect. Beauty without the crowds! We loved it and was very comfortable there! Management and owner were great with help and answers to our questions.

writing retreat

there were two of us getting away to accomplish some writing goals. The home was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were very nice. The home has many special touches like dimming lights. The kitchen is well stocked. The grill did not work but we made still cooked a few of the nights we were there. The pool is not huge but plenty big for us to float around a little each evening. The hot tub works well and heats up fast. There is not a washer and dryer. The driving distance to main street is about 8-10 minutes and under five minutes to several wineries.
