Perfect stay! Loved the location, was very easy to head north or south to see everything the Northshore has to offer. We loved sitting in the porch in the morning and evening. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The views are absolutely EPIC!!! We were up every morning for the sunrise because it was just too amazing to miss. The cabin was gorgeous! What dreams are made of. So much to do in the area. Our hosts were great! They contacted us just before the day of arrival with great suggestions, and opened line of communication if we had any questions. The cabin was clean and furnished with everything you could possibly need, just bring your meals and personal effects.We will definitely be returning some day!!!

Outstanding Vacation

From the moment we walked in our family really enjoyed this cabin. It is a beautiful home and the owners have made sure all the details are perfect. There wasn’t one thing we needed that wasn’t there. Never felt like we were in a rental at all but rather in a private home. The view was even better than we thought it would be. Loved the screen porch. Wonderful location to explore up and down the North Shore. Would definitely stay here again. Owners were easy to communicate with and gave us all the info we needed.

Great Winter Escape

It was chilly and snowy but the views from the deck and from inside the big picture windows were absolutely stunning, and we made use of both the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit to stay nice and cozy. The only minor downside to this hidden gem of a property is that it has pretty low water pressure - it made washing dishes a bit more difficult and made me not want to even attempt washing my shoulder length hair. But outside of that (again, very minor) this place was truly a little slice of heaven on Earth. Everything went so smoothly, even though we showed up the day after some heavy snowfall and weren’t initially sure we’d make it up the long dirt driveway! (We did, and we had no issues whatsoever with our Subaru making the trek up to the front door multiple times over the long weekend). This place is worth an extended stay!

Gorgeous log cabin in the woods with outstanding views of Lake Superior

Our family of four greatly enjoyed our stay in this truly beautiful log cabin in the woods overlooking Lake Superior. Just a short drive up the hill provides seclusion and views of the lake that cannot be beat. The owners provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay - a well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds, clean linens, a gas grill and plenty of games - but truly, the views from the living room, large wraparound deck, and beautiful screened-in porch provided all the entertainment we needed. The home is across the highway from Tettegouche Park, so we enjoyed hiking there and at Split Rock, and loved coming home to a cozy and quiet home in the woods. We loved the firepit and the beautiful path through the surrounding woods. Would absolutely recommend and hope to return!

This cabin is a perfect place to get away and enjoy all the north shore has to offer. The location is fantastic and the view is stunning. From the wildflowers that greet you, to the stunning wood carved front door, there are details around every corner that invite you to slow down and relax. A true north shore gem!

Cozy cabin in a great location

Our family stayed at this cabin and were extremely impressed with how cozy and relaxing it was. The cabin is superbly build and perches high up for a stunning Lake Superior view. It smelled of wood and had ample space for a family, while still maintaining a cozy feel. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and the water doesn't taste like iron. The grill worked great and all the appliances worked well. Everything is extremely clean and well maintained. The beds are incredibly comfortable with partitions for privacy, which is not common in cabins with lofts. The location is great with very easy access to hiking trails and parks. This made it more relaxing knowing that you can take your time in the morning without having to rush out the door to get some hiking in. We did walk down the gravel road a bit one afternoon and encountered a black bear grunting in the brush, which the hosts did warn us was a possibility. We enjoyed playing games, working on a puzzle, reading, and just enjoying the cabin atmosphere. The hosts (Shawn and Edward) were excellent with communication and provided all the instruction we needed. It's clear they deeply care about this cabin and providing a quality experience for guests. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great Getaway

Pro's: Close to all the North Shore 'goodness' that is in the area within a 30 min drive either North or South. Beautiful cabin with the massive logs from BC. We enjoyed evenings in the screened in porch area. Lake Superior views from the deck are beautiful. Con's (The only reasons for not being a 5 Star rating on Location/Neighborhood and Overall Ratings): Out of the renters control...but the entry road off of Hwy 1 to the cabin was a little sketchy going by a property that was full of junk and abandoned vehicles, but once at the cabin all that is forgotten. Pretty constant road noise was more than expected from Hwy 61 and Hwy 1 that can be heard, especially during the busier parts of the day during the weekend due to tourist traffic. Overall a great experience!

Gorgeous retreat

This is a gem of a property--sweeping views in a luxurious, private log cabin. Convenient location to beaches, trails, and amenities. While there are places to eat put nearby, with a full kitchen and the views, you will not want to. The owners are responsive and helpful--providing lots of useful local information and quickly helping to resolve a water pressure issue (not of their own making or fault). The driveway up is steep, but our FWD minivan made it up and down in the summer without issue. We cannot wait to return someday!

North Shore family trip

Perfect location to enjoy the North Shore. The cabin was filled with many comforts of home: plenty of kitchen appliances, cooking necessities, and comfortable beds. Our favorite part of the cabin was the large deck and comfortable screened porch with amazing views of Lake Superior. We enjoyed starting and ending our days there!
