This is a magical spot. As soon as you arrive you feel relaxed and welcome. Lots of places to walk with your dog and close to many restaurants. Great place to just disconnect and enjoy nature. The hostess was amazing.

Great Cottage

Beautiful little cottage walking distance to the marina, market, shops and restaurants in Lower Gibsons. There was everything we needed, along with some nice extra touches. The owner, Christine, is a lovely lady. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again in the future.

Only Lucky for the dogs

Our stay at The Lucky Dog was unfortunately overshadowed by an unreasonable and outdated approach to guest charges. One of our crew members accidentally left a stain on a white towel and pillowcase — a fairly common occurrence in any hospitality setting. While we completely understand covering the cost of damage, being charged 100 for standard linen feels excessive.What made matters worse was the host's insistence on cash-only payment for this charge. We're a professional company and, like most businesses, do not handle transactions in cash. Yet despite being able to accept a credit card for the full booking, the host claimed they were unable to process a card for this additional charge. This inconsistency is both frustrating and unprofessional.We expected a more business-friendly and modern approach to handling minor issues. Hospitality means being prepared for real-world wear and tear — especially on white linens. Sadly, this experience left us feeling less than "lucky" for booking The Lucky Dog.

Perfect coastal stay

I stayed here with my mom and our two small dogs and it was perfect. The location is steps away from the marina and the path to all the shops and restaurants in Gibsons. The suite is just what you need and the windows look out to a well kept garden and small park. I'd happily stay here next time I visit the Sunshine Coast.

Lovely little garden escape

Christine clearly cares about the comfort of her guests. She has coffee beans and a grinder, quality shampoo and conditioner (no dollar store garbage), delicious granola, sufficient kitchen wares (a full set of cutlery, dishes, etc, not just whatever odds and ends were left by previous guests). The neighbourhood is quiet, and the suite is in a serene garden with beach access. This is truly a dog-friendly place . There was a dog bed, bowls, and a whole basket of stuffies for our mutt to play with (he was sad we didn’t pack up the purple elephant to come home). The bed is like sleeping in a cloud. 10/10 recommend for a quiet getaway.

Best of the Best

A perfect suite in a perfect location, with an amazing host. The suite was so comfortable with easy walking distance to everything. Our four legged furry child gives it a 4 Paws Up Plus, best ever! Right on the marina and beach water front with an in-suite basket of toys. It does not get any better than this.

Great spot

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lucky Dog. It is walking distance into Gibsons but is also nice and quiet. Christine was a fantastic host who was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place for a couple who want a quiet break!

Very nice!

All great here! Very glad we got to meet Christine too! We loved the accommodations and Kona (our dog) sure loved the quiet neighborhood location with walks on the beach or into town! We will return for sure!

Comfy space in perfect location

My wife and I, along with our dog, enjoyed a five-night stay at Lucky Dog Garden Studio on our first visit to the Sunshine Coast. The location is perfect, an easy walk to the marina, the Public Market, and the restaurants and shops in Gibsons. The studio apartment is comfortable and artfully decorated. We liked the king-size bed and the spacious walk-in shower. Our dog loved walks along the water and around the neighborhood. We look forward to returning.

Fabulous little suite

More beautiful and spacious than it looks like in the pictures. Stayed 2 nights while in town for a wedding. Lots of thoughtful little touches to ensure our comfort and a pleasant stay. Host has a gorgeous garden. Next time we will bring our dogs- I know we all would have been very comfortable and well taken care of.

Blissful getaway

The lucky dog was wonderful! The suite was cozy and had lots of lovely artful touches. The bed was heavenly as were the pillows. The gorgeous shower was like stepping into a spa bathroom. Nature surrounds you from all the windows and a short few steps to the bay where the tides when out open up to a lovely little beach for a wander with the dog. 5 minute walk to the town of Gibsons. The owner Christine is welcoming and in attached house, but gives you your space. Our senior dog felt comfy and enjoyed the space as well. Thank you!

Loved it!

Christine is a lovey host, very accommodating and her studio is very well kept and comes as advertised! The location is awesome with wonderful views from the yard, easy walking access to downtown Gibsons and to several beaches. A great place to enjoy Gibsons!

Beautiful Gibson's

The suite was everything we needed. The location and access to the beach was perfect. The view from the front yard was beautiful. We thought we would get a view from the suite, but all in all we were very satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality Christine!

Charming Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at The Lucky Dog. The cozy cottage was very comfortable and clean. The property is beautiful, just steps away to the seawalk, and very close to restaurants and shops. Christine was very kind and attentive. Would definitely stay here again.

I was born in Toronto, moved to British Columbia in the early 1980's and love it here. Have lived in Victoria, then Vancouver and now in Gibsons. I love the outdoors, so this is the place for me!

This is a one of a kind property and house. Built in the 1930's as a beach house. It has been renovated many times and I am now the fortunate owner of a lovely home on the water.

Cute and charming. Gorgeous old wooden floors, amazing views of the marina and beyond. Beautiful nooks and crannies.
