Escapada a la montaña de Strawberry / Tahoe, ideal para familias con mesa de billar y vistas increíbles

Verdaderamente disfrutarás quedarte en nuestra cabaña en Strawberry justo a la salida de la autopista 50 detrás del histórico Strawberry Lodge. Ya sea que haya venido para la diversión invernal, o para disfrutar de la belleza de los meses de verano, seguramente encontrará esta cabaña y Strawberry el lugar perfecto para una escapada. El South Fork of the American River está a pocos pasos. Lover's Leap está a pocos pasos. Sierra at Tahoe está a 6 millas por la carretera. Y, por supuesto, TODOS los lagos del área de Tahoe están a un corto trayecto en auto por la autopista 50.

Un coche es imprescindible en Strawberry, sin embargo, hay varias cosas que puedes hacer a pocos pasos de la cabina. La cabina está ubicada a lo largo de la ruta Pony Express. Lover's Leap, Monk's Rock y Slippery Ford están a lo largo del Pony Express Trail. La mayoría de las otras caminatas en el área requerirán un auto para llegar a las cabezas de los senderos. Pero disfrutar del American River está a solo unos pasos de la cabaña.

What a gem!!!

This place has everything. Easy walk to the river, gorgeous views, secluded and private, kids toys, tons of DVDs, and hiking/biking trails literally out the back door. The game room downstairs was an added bonus and kept our family entertained for hours. The owner was very communicative and they have put a lot of love into the property. I am already making plans to go back!!!

Perfect Tahoe-area Cabin

This cabin was tucked into the hillside, surrounded by trees. It was a delightful getaway and very close to Sierra At Tahoe

Great location for Sierra weekend

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Plenty of space for our family and a really cozy night in front of the fireplace. The pool table and pacman games were big hits. After our short drive to Sierra for skiing, the kids loved breaking ice in the stream and walking through the woods. Loved this location.

Deep Nature Experience

We took our two teens up to visit Grandma and to ski at Sierra-at-Tahoe. Resort is only 10m away and easy to access. Lake Tahoe and Myers are a short drive and have a lot of restaurants. Countless hikes available. Very close to the river. You can walk to the general store. Cabin has everything you need and some things you didnt know you needed (like pac man). Cooked two meals in kitchen had everything we needed. We had massive snow during our trip and they do a great job of clearing the highway. There is nothing like sitting in the tree swing and listening to the snow fall. The host was very easy to chat with and had a lot of great recommendations. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others and would love to stay there again in the future.

Fun stay!

What a delightful cabin! Our little ones had a ton of fun with the loft above the master bedroom using it as their base of operations for all sorts of imaginative play. The cabin's living room is also stocked with board games, not to mention the game room downstairs. Instructions for the house were clear and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook (bring your own oil/butter or buy it from the Strawberry General Store across Hwy-50). Bonus points for the very short drive to Sierra-at-Tahoe for our skiing excursions. Really couldn't have asked for more!

Fun with Hiking

Myself and friends used this house as basecamp for day hikes into Desolation Wilderness and couldn't have been more pleased. The weather was cold but the house was warm and clean when we checked in and the fireplace fully stocked. I'm sure we'll be returning.

Week in the mountains

Cabin was a great home base for exploring local trails, short trip to Tahoe to be a tourist. Cabin kitchen was stocked better than we expected. Family enjoys cooking for each other and we didn't lack a thing. Even a pizza stone for pizza night. Books, games, tv, when relaxing at the cabin. Access to mountain biking, hiking, lakes, exploring. Everyone had a wonderful stay.

Great getaway place

We stayed here with another family friend & kids in May and really enjoyed the peaceful getaway in the mountains. Check In instruction was very clear and Jobi was really great at communication. The beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had all the condiments. We especially loved the extra entertainment room with the pool table and games. And it was nice to be able to hear the water flowing by from the nearby river when you open the windows. Would love to stay here again!

Cozy cabin in Strawberry

This cabin checked all our boxes for a quick snowboarding getaway. Clean, spacious, and just a short drive to the resort. They even provided sleds for us to enjoy with the fresh powder! We enjoyed the little touches of decor that reminded us we were in the cute town of Strawberry. Also there was a convenience store just down the street for extra snacks and goodies. Jobie was a wonderful host and easy to keep in contact with. The neighbors that we met were all very friendly as well. Highly recommend this cabin to others!

Perfect family cabin away from the South Lake bustle

We had a really good time at Jobie's cabin over President's Day weekend. It's perfectly tucked away in Strawberry, away from the busyness of South Lake and conveniently located near Sierra at Tahoe. The cabin is perfect for families. There were lots of toys, comfortable beds, clean, and obvious that a lot of love and care goes into this family cabin. (Kids loved all the bear decor too) The upstairs attic area with the bed was a fun area for the kids to go up to but requires a watchful eye to make sure they are being careful on the ladder / stairs. The large front yard was perfect for the little ones to play in the snow - really spacious and allowed us to just go outside to play rather than find a snow park. Jobie was very communicative and accommodating as a host as well. I would come back in a heartbeat in the future for another family getaway. Thanks!

Ski Weekend Getaway

My family and I stayed here to celebrate my daughter's birthday and spend the weekend skiing with friends nearby at Sierra-at-Tahoe. The cabin is a great location for skiing at Sierra, and the non-skiers in our group had a good time just chilling at the cabin enjoying amenities like the well-stocked bookshelf and the pool table and Pac Man machine. It was a bummer the great views were blocked by the massive amounts of snow piled up on the front deck, but hey at least it's good for skiing. My younger daughter also loved playing with all of the kids' toys in the cabinet in the TV room. I imagine this place is awesome in the summer too with all of the nice outside seating areas.

Best Place to Stay for a Lake Tahoe Vacation!

My husband and I stayed for six days and really love this cabin. It is in a great location for going to the beach and hiking. The cabin is clean and very well organized. The hosts are responsive and made all everything easy to stay there. We are looking forward to our next stay at this wonderful cabin! Thank You. Nancy and David

Amazing!

We had an amazing trip! The cabin was perfect, plenty of room and lots of wonderful amenities. We enjoyed the having the fire place with plenty of fire wood to keep us warm. The game room was a hit and the snow in the front yard was the cherry on top. The neighbors were very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Perfect ski vacation with kids!

We loved staying at this place. Rooms are cozy, clean, and very family friendly layout with lots of games and the pool table. The best part was adults cooking and chilling inside with a view right front of the window where kids can sled, ski (the drive way turned into a bunny hill for practice:) and make a snow man all day. The owner was very quick in responding and made us feel welcomed. We are already talking about coming back in the summer.

Cabin in the woods

We rented this property for a few days over Christmas to spend with family and it was perfect. The communication with the VRBO host (Jobie) was great throughout the whole process. If you go in the winter months be sure to have chains for your vehicle as this cabin is tucked back in the woods and off the main hwy. Our favorite space was the open dining room/fire place room with high ceilings. Made it feel spacious and a big space for everyone to gather around. The downstairs area had a pool table and other games for kids so was easy to send the kids off to play. The neighbors around there were also friendly and they even snowplowed the driveway. Much needed as Tahoe was recording record snow!! Fun place for sure!

Our family lives in California. We are a family of five that loves the beach, but the mountains hold a special place in our hearts. Nothing beats being surrounded by tall trees, mountains and the only sounds you hear are birds and the rush of the river. My husband grew up near Sacramento, California and I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. Both of us love to be out in nature- especially the mountains.

Want to get away and relax? This is the place. My husband's grandparents built this place, and now we are the third generation in the family to own this cabin. It holds a special place in our hearts!! My husband grew up coming here as a child and now we bring our kids here. It's one of our favorite vacation spots. Often times, their cousins and aunt and uncle come and join us- lots of space for more than just one family. We hope you will enjoy it as much as us and want to come again and again.
The cabin sits nestled up against the mountain side and surrounded by tall evergreens. Scrub jays are often seen on our deck and occasionally you'll see a black bear in the yard. If you do, give them space. Just be aware that they are in the neighborhood.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The cabin sits along the Pony Express Trail and Lover's Leap, a favorite amongst rock climbers, is just a short walk from the door. The South Fork of the American River is across the street and you can hear it from the deck. Sierra at Tahoe is 6 miles down Highway 50. Echo Lake, a favorite of ours is 10 miles down Highway 50 and a beautiful 5 mile round trip hike. The cabin is located behind historic Strawberry Lodge. You can enjoy a meal there or a drink at the bar. Our family enjoys ice cream cones there after dinner in the summer time. They also have an amazing fireplace to keep you warm in the winter. The Strawberry Station General Store is right across the highway. Be sure to check it out- they have ski and snowboard rentals along with snowshoes and climbing gear. You can grab any essentials that you might have forgotten- milk, eggs, soda, beer, snacks and a small Espresso bar.
