Wonderful Time in Boone

The house was excellent and people were friendly. Host was wonderful and easy to contact. Lots to see in Boone and Blowing Rock. A must do while here is going to Tweetsie Railroad park. The grand kids and adults loved it!!!! Don't forget to eat at Pedalin Pig!!! Food is outstanding!!

Very nice place to stay. Had plentiful places for everyone to sleep. Only thing is they could use some updated cookware and also updated tvs. Beautiful home!

Overall wonderful stay

We really loved this property. A few of the linens were a bit dirty, but the overall house was clean and perfect for a large group. Beautiful mountain views, close to Boone and Blowing Rock, comfortable furniture, and a nice large kitchen.

Great for a family gathering

The house was perfect for our family gathering. It has lots of space, a huge kitchen, and beautiful views! As I read in other reviews, the house could use a more thorough cleaning between guests.

Great main level, awkward bedroom/bathroom layout on upper level

Main level in house was great and views are amazing. Our group of 13 had a wonderful time but this house has issues for large groups. On upper level the two choices were 6 (would have been 8 at max capacity) ppl in one bathroom and 2 in master or 4 ( potentially 6) in shared bath and 2 ppl have to walk thru master bedroom to get to master bath. Mattresses were old, not comfortable, and plastic mattress covers made sleeping in those beds sweaty. Two ppl were isolated from rest of group because they had to go outdoors to get from in law suite to main living area. More lamps in bedrooms would have been helpful.

Very Nice and Quiet Family Stay

My family and I truly enjoyed staying at this beautiful house in the mountains. There were a few things we thought would have made the stay much better. There could have been better care for the exterior of the house (I.e. cutting of the shrubs, removing spider webs, etc…). The kitchen was amazing and one of our favorites in the beautiful home. The oven was in need of a good cleaning, but there were plenty of cooking supplies, cuts, and plates for all 12 of my family members. The only negatives my family felt was that there could have been better (up to date) televisions and the in law suite was very stuffy as if no one had cleaned it or used it in a while. Overall the house was amazing and my family and I would absolutely return in the future.

Absolutely would not stay at Heavenly Manor again!

The house was dirty. It was obvious there was poor cleaning. Ed with Carolina Rental was as helpful and polite as possible for him. Housekeepers were sent 3 hours later, came in slamming the door and was extremely rude, using foul language while in the presence of my young grandchildren. The worse vacation rental my family has ever booked!

Great family accommodations!!

We had an excellent stay at this property!! Super family friendly!! Beautiful views! Home was clean on arrival, spacious accommodations, great mattresses, wonderful kitchen& porch & tv room gathering spaces. We would rent again, perfect for our family of 5 adults and 5 children. Perfect for children ages one month to 10 years because there was not a lot of cha-cha-cha around, things they could accidentally knock over and break. We appreciated the minimalist approach. Decorating/furniture was very comfortable and family friendly. Foosball was a super hit!! It was nice to have the hotel size soaps and liquid detergent in the house when we arrived. The stock of kitchen cooking utensils and pots and pans etc. was plentiful and fine for our needs. However, it’s just that they were not organized but spread out among all the cabinets in the kitchen. This is really out of the control of the owners and the cleaning staff when so many different people are renting and put things here and there. We did not find it to be a problem. We found what we needed. Great location for us with good access to parks, hiking/biking trails and fishing spots. We had a great stay and anticipate the possibility of trying to rent for next year.

Property with potential but disappointing for price.

This house looks amazing in the photos but the actual current state of the property was not represented in the online photos. It was not clean, had two toilets In need of repair, a broken foosball table, overgrown hedges, dirty back porch, A clogged master bedroom ceiling, and an inoperable icemaker. The views were good and the kitchen was nice and big. We definitely will not be staying here again.

We had a wonderful week in the mountains! The beds and bathrooms were comfortable. The cabin was advertised as sleeping 12-14 I think , if you used the mother-in-law suite, which we didn't. We were disappointed that the glassware And silverware was not adequate for serving nice meals together. We cooked and thankfully we brought our own knives, cooking utensils and 4 pans for cooking eggs, and breakfast foods. The oven and stove top were great. The microwave was hard to use in The lower cabinet in which it was located. Great storage areas for pantry and other items with the good counter top by the windows. We also loved having 2 sinks! The best “room” in the house was the covered back porch! Loved the woods, birds, and Mountain Views. The railing was broken on one side and we called management and they quickly sent someone over who fixed that and checked all the other railings. We appreciated that since we had a toddler with us. It was wonderful to have a good washer and dryer in the house. We discussed it and would have given the house a 5+star rating had the kitchen just been on par with the rest of the house. We will probably plan to return next year.

The list keeps going! We have visited twice and will continue to go back! This is the place to host a gathering or sneak away from the real world. The kitchen and outdoor deck flows so nicely for entertaining and hanging out. The oversized sofa can seat a crowd! Great little nooks to get away too! My kids enjoyed some great games of hide and seek 😍. You won't be disappointed! Some may say it's a little slice of heaven !

Our stay was excellent. The only concern that I had was the lighting and the stairs outside of the property. The lighting and the stairs to walk from the main house to the mother in law suite is not adequate or safe. The stairs should have a rail to hold on to and the lighting should be better just to see where you're stepping. We purchased the Christmas string lights to provide some lighting because it gets dark there before 6 o'clock. Also, the cushion on the porch were extremely dirty but we took the covers off to wash them.

Great house for a group

We had a group of 5 dads and their kids stay at the house and it worked really well for us. The large screened in back deck and grill were a nice touch. The location was close by the Blue Ridge Parkway and about 10-15 minutes from Downtown Boone and grocery stores, etc.

Heavenly Manor was a great location. However the home definitely needs some basic maintenance and a DEEP cleaning done. If the basic issues are addressed (too many to list in a review, but they were mentioned to staff, by phone and email with pictures) I believe Heavenly Manor has 5 star potential.

Spacious with pretty views but lacking basic amenities and a bit dirty and dated

We rented the house for the weekend so we could spend time with my parents, sister, her family and my family. It's an annual tradition for us to spend a weekend in the mountains each summer and we always like to select a nice place that is spacious, has large gathering areas and a nice porch with great views. On the positive side, the house was very spacious and some some beautiful views. The deck was covered and served as a great place for us to relax, play games and talk. It's unfortunate that it was not cleaned well. The floor was dirty and their were numerous broken chairs. Two of the chairs didn't have cushions for some reason. When we went to open a bottle of wine, there were literally 2 mismatched wine glasses in the kitchen. When you are paying nearly $1,700 for a weekend, I don't think it's wrong to expect to have a full set of glasses. When we went into the very large living room with a beautiful view of the mountains, we were really turned off to see all of the dirt and trash at the base of the sofa. When we reached out to the rental company we received a quick response which was admirable, but they essentially said "we don't guarantee that our homes will have full or matching sets of wine glasses - our rental agreement notes that we guarantee basic dishes, silverware, pots/pans, etc. but that specialty items (ie. blenders, whisks, wine glasses, etc.) exist in our homes on a house-to-house basis." They also asked for pictures of the "lack of cleanliness", which I provided but they never responded. Overall, the house is large and has some beautiful views, but it needs some upgrades from a cleanliness standpoint as well as expected amenities.
