Esta es una hermosa casa de la familia. Cómodo para todas las edades. Bellamente decorado para mejorar su estancia relajada. Con más de 2200sq. pies hacia fuera y respirar el aire fresco de sal. Gran Complejo Turístico y fresco dentro y por fuera. El patio trasero está llamando su nombre y una vez que pones un pie fuera no va a querer salir. Bien mantenido y recientemente redecorado. Clima costero leve, cerca de la autopista ya sólo 4. 5 millas al Fondo para el Proyecto Walk. El área de Carlsbad / Encinitas es la "capital de la flor del mundo 'y son abundantes, tanto aquí en el jardín y fuera de las carreteras.
También, situado cerca de la Laguna Batiquitos unos humedales protegidos y refugio de vida silvestre y el hogar de muchas especies de aves. Caminar el sendero natural alrededor de la laguna.

San Diego Airport a sólo 30 minutos al sur que sirven las principales compañías aéreas.

Legoland está a la vuelta de la esquina, el mundo del mar de 20-30 minutos al sur, Acuario de Scripps 20-30 minutos al sur, el mundialmente famoso Zoológico de San Diego 30-40 minutos al sur, Disneyland 50-60 minutos al norte. Relaxing Vacation Home

Our party of 4 had plenty of room to relax and have our own space in this lovely home. We ate breakfast and lunch on the patio every day and had a bbq one night. The kids enjoyed the hot tub as well as boogie boards and other necessities they used at the beach. I LOVED not having to fight the Village traffic getting in and out of the house - as I have with other rentals - but we were so close to everything and had easy access to the freeway to head down to San Diego. Linda and Roger were so hospitable and made our stay very comfortable. **Don't miss going to the Scott Jacobs Studio in San Elijo Hills** - it is in a quaint little town and the gallery is so unique!

Home Away from Home

Our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 children/teens) truly enjoyed our stay at this spacious, beautiful home in May. This was our first time renting a property for our vacation and we can't wait to do it again. Linda and Roger stopped by to introduce themselves and wanted to make sure everything was to our liking, which it was. We loved having all the comforts of home and being able to prepare our own meals. AND, we especially loved that they had beach supplies - chairs, cooler, boogie boards, towels, etc. for us to use. Coming from Texas where it is HOT, we are spoiled with our A/C and were slightly concerned about how we would deal with no A/C. But, the weather was perfect and there were ceiling fans and so many windows we could open to let in the breeze that we didn't even miss not having A/C. Did I mention the super comfy beds and having a washer and dryer on the property (and complimentary wash soap/dryer sheets)? If you're looking for a home away from home for your vacation in beautiful, sunny Carlsbad, this is the property for you.

Wonderful home

Roger and Linda are wonderful people! Their home is conveniently located right off the highway, and situated in one of the most beautiful places on Earth - Carlsbad, CA! This is a lot of space for not a lot of money! Ideal for a large family, or two families, the property is furnished well, VERY clean, and very well maintained. The owners are attentive and prompt in correcting any issues that arise! A wonderful stay for me and my two children. Definitely recommended!

Costly family vacation

This is a comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. Owners provide many beach supplies that were nice and other basic necessities. Backyard was beautiful and peaceful! BUT only reason I rented this house is because it was listed as handicap accessible. I spoke to homeowner numerous time of my needs with my brother who is in wheelchair full time. On arrival, we entered the house only to find there was a 5 inch step down in all 3 directions to enter home, therefore my brother's electric wc was incapable of getting to and from any part of the house unless we used his manual wc and we did all the lifting up/down the steps. Under description, the ad says raised step leading down into home. They do no say a step down in all 3 living areas of home. We attempted to figure out a way to let him be mobile by going around home to get to bedroom area, but there was still slight raised area of sliders that stopped us from entering, so thankfully, at midnight, I was able to find my brother and mother a room close by that is a true handicap accessible room, but that is not how we planned our family vacation. This house should not be listed as handicap accessible. There truly is not anything about this home that is wc friendly or accessible without lots of physical assistance. A normally functioning family would be fine here or mild assistance in bathroom which has a bar in toilet room and shower chair for tub, walker assistance would work if they could step up and down step. Second downside was no air conditioning. This is an older home and not great with keeping heat out in summer. We brought extra fans and portable evaporative cooler that helped, but it was probably 8 or so in evening before house truly cooled down. Would stay here again in fall,winter early spring. For us, summer is just too warm without air conditioning. Also if your looking for updated look or larger rooms and bathrooms, once again this is not the house for you. >

Comfortable vacation home to stay

We two families rented this house during Christmas time and we enjoyed it a lot. Plenty of rooms for kids running around, and convenient location of the house to nearby restaurants and stores. The owner of the house was responsive and friendly. We'd recommend this place.

Best Christmas in San Diego

We had the best time at Linda and Rogers property. It's their house when it's not rented and you can tell how much love and care they put into the place. It's nothing fancy, it's just right, and very clean. The outdoor space is amazing, you get so much more than just a bed. We will most definitely come back. I rented this for my family at Christmas, 5 adults, 3 children, Grandma 92.

SDO Re-Deployment Celebration

Our son is stationed in Hawaii (yes, tough duty) and just returned from the 'Stan. He planned his block leave with a trip to the West for snowboarding and then met us in Carlsbad for a mini-reunion afterward. We spent a week at this nice home near the coast. We love to travel, have visited SDO before, and we love it. We are middle aged and still working, and our son is 27 and single... - Neighborhood/location - right off I-5 in beautiful subdivision... Within 5-10 mins of many shopping places/restaurants, including many grocery stores. Within 10-15 minutes of great local eating places. Home/kitchen was great, but we ate out 90% of time. Almost all of those meals were NOT chain restaurants...btw, no noise - area is very quiet - Extended Area - loved SDO zoo, Stone Brewery/Restaurant in Escondido, The Del Coronado, Old Town, and a favorite, we walked the beach several times... The Batiguitas Lagoon trail is great for walking, and running (my son), and All of the little hole in the wall restaurants from Swami's, Los Olas, to Hodad's in Ocean Beach, and upscale Mexican like Casa de Bandini... - landlords - Great - lots of help and interface on all issues before arrival, AND, now in closing all the details - - The Home - lots of room and bathroom space - this is a home, well-decorated for a family, not a Hilton. Very clean, and extremely well equipped... And, This is a positive, they have rules to help manage the property and protect themselves - - I liked this !!! You know it will end up as a great experience with the owners. It was ready on time, with a fresh sprucing up of the yard. - welcome unexpected pleasures - HD tv, with tons of channels to end the day - WIFI ! - automatic lighting in the driveway and by the front door - a check-in primer with everything from directions for trash day, washing machine instructions, to Wifi login. Even have beach towels stacked up in the garage - - also the hot tub looked great, but we aren't really hot tub types - we were briefed on how to use it, and it looked clean and neat. YES, a homey environment, and, a 5-star experience !!

Family Vacation

My family came out to Carlsbad to attend my son's wedding. We stayed at Linda and Roger's house and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful with gardens and a hot tub-- We were thrilled to be there for the week. Home away from home for the holidays

Linda and Roger were super to work with- a very prompt response to our initial query,they met with us on arrival to show us around the house and how to operate appliances, and offered to answer any further questions we had by phone. The house was decorated for the holidays, clean, and was very generously stocked with lots of cooking gear and essentials like spices. The garden was neat as a whistle and the hot tub was warm and welcoming. We highly recommend the house and the owners. We took numerous walks on the beach and Batiquitos Lagoon (an easy walk from the house), visited Torrey Pines St. Park, the Aquarium at Scripps Inst., Old Town San Diego, and the Mission of San Luis Rey in Oceanside.

Sunny days in November and a beautiful home to enjoy it in!

We felt right at home in this very inviting house, truly a home! The days were sunny and beautiful with long walks on the nearby beach. The evenings were relaxing, grilling in the lovely back yard and lounging in the hot tub watching the stars sparkling in the sky. The home has everything you need, full well appointed kitchen, huge TV in the family room, internet, quiet, private bedrooms, nice peaceful back yard and plenty of beach toys! We will be back!

Great house for our wedding week stay!

Our party of 8 rented the house for our daughter's wedding week, and it wonderful. So many welcome supplies were available, whether it was pruning clippers for making wedding flower arrangements, or condiments for our sandwiches, that it was like staying at a well-equipped relative's house. The house is comfortable, charming and clean, in a nice neighborhood, with a lovely back yard. We used it for a bridal shower, grilled out, and several people in our group used the hot tub. A great feature was the separate and quiet bedroom wing, much appreciated at naptime of the 2 yr.in our group. Roger the owner came over almost immediately when we had a plumbing problem, and it was taken care of. Highly recommend!

Hospitable home in Carlsbad

My family recently spent five weeks in this home while relocating, and we were generally very happy. Like most any vacation rental, there were pluses and minuses: + The owners are very friendly and helpful. + Home is bright and spacious, with a nicely landscaped private yard. + The location is quiet, and convenient both for work and recreation. + Lots of little things to make the stay easier: plenty of kitchenware, some condiments, boogie boards and other beach toys, useful furniture, a nice grill, etc. + Relatively affordable compared to other area rentals. + Child-friendly. - Home is dated throughout: carpets & floors, counters, kitchen appliances, fixtures, and so on. If you're looking for the latest modern comforts this home isn't for you. - It's a convenient location but not a beachfront home by any means. It's a long walk up the hill and over the freeway to the beach; driving is recommended. Likewise don't expect a pool, a view, or the sound of waves lulling you to sleep as you find in true beach homes and condos. - Maybe we were unlucky, or maybe it's a product of the home's age, but we had to deal with problems with the cable TV, hot tub, and countertop tiles during our stay. Also, the wifi was very limited in range and slow. Overall our experience in this home was a pleasant one, and we recommend it for families looking for a comfortable rental in the Carlsbad area who don't need to be close to the beach or be in a home where everything is new or works perfectly.

Beautiful home

We spent 2 glorious weeks here in summer 2012. The house is wonderful, a real home from home and we could not have been happier here. We have rented many houses in the US over the years and it is the little things that sets this one apart. This house felt like a home, not a rental property. We were provided with items such as bathroom tissue, kitchen towels, hand soap, laundry detergent, coffee, condiments, the list is endless..........arriving from the UK we could not have brought these things with us and it was wonderful to have them available when we arrived. I would call it "going that extra mile". The house itself is a gem, fantastic location too. The hot tub in the garden is just the best olace to end a long day either sightseeing, shopping or at the beach. We would happily have stayed forever!! Linda and Roger, it was a delight to meet you both too - thank you for allowing us to spend what was probably our best holiday ever in your wonderful home. And to anybody reading this and looking for a vacation rental - just do it - there will be no regrets, I promise.

The title is great, describes the house well, and is short and catchy.

My daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandchildren aged 7, 5 and 5,(twins), joined me in a glorious week in San Diego. My son was going to be married on the beach in Coronado, and we were fortunate enough to rent this beautiful, inviting and comfortable home. Linda, the owner, offered me welcome advice on hairdressers, stroller rentals, and many other issues related to the wedding. We found the home to be immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated, loved the glorious garden and hot tub, and found it well situated with regard to all of the activities we wanted to enjoy. I would highly recommend this property to prospective renters, and would love to come back here again.

A Family

This was a wonderful place to stay. The lady who rented it to us should be an interior decorator. Her home was very nicely decorated. The place clean,and quiet. The yard very nicely landscvaped. A person would feel very comfortable here. This is a pleasure place to relax. If the family decides to come back to the beach in San Diego, we will definitely come back to stay here.

Home away from home!!!

My daughter got married in Carlsbad on May 14, 2011. I am from a small town in Oregon and, other then her fiance's family, I know nobody from the area. When I went shopping for a vacation rental, my first concern was the kitchen. My sister was making the wedding cake and needed refrigerator space, large oven, and lots of counter space! This home has it all!!! We had 5 adult women, 1 teenage girl, and 2 toddlers, We had plenty of bathroom space, and being able to shut off the hallway during naptime was fantasic. We were to busy to take in all the activities and amusement parks that were nearby. But having a hot tub in our backyard was good enough for us. If I were to visit the Carlsbad area again I would definately check in to this rental.

Relaxing Home for a Much Needed Vacation!

My mom, sister, and I enjoyed our stay at this home, our visits to nearby beaches, and plenty of shopping. The rooms were delightfully decorated, they provided everything we needed, and we felt right at home. The BBQ and hot tub were great and we enjoyed using the boogie boards, beach umbrella, and other beach equipment. The weather was perfect. And the homeowners were available to answer any questions we had during our stay.

Visitors from Washington State

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious, comfortable home. The atmosphere was homey and relaxed for everyone from age 6 to 60. Everything we could possibly need, and then some, was provided for everyday living as well as for enjoying the Christmas holiday. There was plenty of room for all of the family. The layout of the home was fantastic for privacy, quiet time, chatting and video entertainment. Internet access was included and greatly appreciated by all. This is truly a home to come to if all you bring with you is your suitcase. They've thought of everything. The location is conveniently close to the freeway and all types of shopping but the neighborhood is very quiet. I would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful family home.

Hi, we're Linda & Roger and when we are not traveling we reside in this South Carlsbad home. We have called this house our home for over 40 years and when we are traveling we invite others to enjoy it. We take great pride in ownership with beautiful furnishings and manicured yards. We love to tinker in the garden where you can enjoy the fruits of our labor year round. We have 8 children & 20 grandchildren in 4 states so lots of traveling is in our future.

We chose this property when we moved down from the Orange County and LA area because of its proximity to the coast, the freeway, shopping and everything Carlsbad has to offer. One of our favorite things to do in the summer is to grab some take out and go to the beach at the 'sea wall' and watch the surfers, people watch, go for a little stroll and watch the sunset. It's a beautiful area and the weather in just about any season is conducive to being outside.

There are a variety of things to choose from within 1-2 miles. We have Legoland, the Flower Fields (blooming season March 1 to mid May), The Poinsettia Coaster Station (to conveniently get to downtown SD without fighting the traffic), 2 grocery stores, Costco, outlet shopping, restaurants including Sushi, fast food, French, Italian & American Restaurants, 3 world class golf courses (Aviara, The Crossings at Carlsbad & La Costa Golf & Resort), 2 community parks (Poinsettia Community Park & Aviara Community park as well as Alga Norte Community Park which also includes a community swimming pool & water pad for the little ones. Then there are the beautiful beaches which offer swimming, surfing, surf schools, whale & dolphin watching, bird watching & endless walking opportunities including the beautiful Batiquitos Lagoon Nature Trail & Bird Sanctuary (just 0.5mi from the house) something for all ages just to name a few.
