The absolute best location!

You are literally 448’ from the Duomo! You have a view of the Duomo from both bedrooms. The outdoor terrace was where we spent every evening. We didn’t want to leave. The owner Marco was very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again!

Florence fun

Darling apartment close to the Duomo. The lift in the building was a big plus. The owner went beyond to care that we arrived safely as our travel was delayed 4 hours. The apartment is centrally located, an easy walk to all of Florence.

Our Stay in Florence at San Giovanni

The place is wonderful with a great view of church bells and towers and the Duomo! It had everything we needed. The elevator and appliances all worked properly and the beds were comfortable. It truly is just a couple blocks from the Duomo and that made it so convenient to see the sights there. Our host Marco guided us to the place as we got close and he was there when we arrived. He gave us the 'run down' on everything we might need to know about the accommodations and he gave us lots of good information about where to go and what to do. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this Florence high spot. Thanks very much.

Great apartment in the heart of Florence

This is a great space in an old building. The location is perfect. It is centrally located just around the corner from the Duomo. Marco, the host was very kind and super accommodating. One of my favorite features of the apartment was the rooftop terrace. A great spot to sit in the sun and listen to the church bells. There are two bedrooms each with their own private bathrooms. There is a third bathroom for guests as well. It has a full size refrigerator and everything we needed in the kitchen. What a delight to have the Duomo right out your bedroom window. The elevator was very helpful too. I would highly recommend this rental.

It was magical!

I've hesitated to write this review, because our experience was magical, and words don't do it justice. First of all, our host Marco. Oh, what a sweet, generous spirit! He greeted us with chocolates and wine. We practically ran around the apartment, looking out of the windows, just amazed at the absolutely incredible views. So much history! The Duomo was a block or so away, visible from our windows. We walked EVERYWHERE, and every day was a different adventure. We stayed a month and never got bored. The apartment itself was totally cool. Beds were very comfortable. And it was great to have a clothes washer! As we were leaving the apartment at 3 am.to fly home, my nephew locked his bag, passport and money inside. We called Marco and he was there in 15 minutes with a key. (I still feel bad about that, Marco - grazie mille.) If you're planning a vacation to Florence, you're making a huge mistake if you don't stay here!

Character, Comfort, Location, WOW Views and an ELEVATOR

Mind boggling views from almost every window and from the roof terrace. Often I just sat at the bedroom desk and just gazed at Brunelleschi's cupola, the south side of the Duomo and the campanile. Read Ross King's "Brunelleschi's Dome" before you arrive. From the terrace the view is southward and of the towers of the Bargello, Badia Fiorentina and Palazzo Vecchio. You can also see the top of Orsanmichele. Without the elevator this apartment would not have worked for us. We learned our lesson at a fantastic Roma apartment that had a roof terrace that looked out onto Piazza Farnese but did not have an elevator; those 77 steps up and down nearly killed us. The beds are comfortable, there is plenty of hot water, the simple kitchen is fine for the few times we were just too exhausted to go out. Just out the door of the building there are many good restaurants within seconds to a few minutes walk. The WiFi worked well. We used the dishwasher and the clothes washer a couple of times. Clothes dried quickly out on the terrace. Marco communicated excellently, answered all our questions and gave great suggestions. Getting to the building from the rental car center at FLR was easy and a really fun ride --- especially that last bit when you pass the western side of Piazza del Duomo. We stayed 8 nights but really needed at least another 3 nights...we just can't pack in as many things in a day as we used to. The last couple of days I tried out AppTaxi (I had noticed an ad for it in the taxi ride to the apartment) and it was fantastic! I wish I had started using it sooner. Grazie mille, Marco! Someday when we return to Firenze this is where we will stay!

Merveilleux séjour à Florence

L'appartement de Marco est idéalement placé, au coeur du centre historique de Florence. Mais il est aussi très bien agencé (avec une climatisation qui a été nécessaire !) avec en plus une très agréable jolie petite terrasse. Tout s'est très bien passé et nous ne pouvons que recommander ce pied à terre pour visiter Florence et voir aussi les fantastiques paysages toscans ainsi que les petits paradis environnants comme Sienne, Lucca et San Gimignano, entre autres ... Et il faut souligner également l'extrême courtoisie de Marco lors de notre arrivée, ce qui est toujours tres appréciable ! Nous garderons en mémoire un souvenir très heureux de ce séjour. Fabulous Place

Everything was perfect. The location was unsurpassable. The roof top patio was a delightful place for morning coffee. Best of all, we felt we had a real home right in the center of historical Florence. Marco our host, could not have been more accommodating. It was a fabulous almost magical experience. I would love to return some day & I highly recommend to others.

Beautiful room with a view apartment in Florence!

We loved our stay in Marco's beautiful apartment. The check-in process was seamless, and the space is beautiful with a gorgeous outdoor terrace that we used every day during our stay. The elevator was essential, as the apartment is on the 4th floor, and really helped with all our luggage and my older relatives. The location can't be beat, and it was a perfect "home away from home" for our Florence visit. Listening to the bells toll every day was a magical experience. I know you won't be disappointed if you stay here!

Fantastic

I have made 4 trips to Italy totaling 18 weeks and this is the best place I have ever stayed. Location is perfect. Next street over from the Duomo which you can see from both bedrooms. From the terrace you can see Palazzo Vecchio, San Miniato and Orsanmichele. LOTS of room. Very clean. Marco is an excellent host and responds quickly to texts. Will not stay anywhere else in Florence

This apartment is close to everything in Florence. It is in easy walking distance of the train station and most of the historic sites, as well as the shopping district in the city. The apartment was quaint and extremely clean. The lift in the building was a huge plus!!

Charming home in the heart of Florence

We stayed in many places during our three week tour of Italy, and this was one of our favorites. Marco is very polite and quick to respond. The home is not trendy or filled with the latest fashions, it is very comfortable and feels like a real home. There is air conditioning but we were there in June and only needed it one night. The duomo is visible from both bedrooms and the patio is spectacular. There are plants out there, we gave the kids the job of watering them every day. The kitchen is well stocked, we ended up cooking at least half our meals and then eating out on the patio. The location could not be better. You can walk to anywhere you want to go in Florence and you can avoid the crowds by hitting the landmarks at off-peak times. All in all I highly recommend Marco's place and hope to return someday!

It gives the feeling of living as a real Florentine citizen and it looks like going back to Renaissance,strolling around all the amazing elegant old churches accompanied with the attractive and relaxing sound of their bells

Main cultural attractions (cathedral and most important museums) best traditional restaurants,eateries are all within walking distance;you do not need public transportation or private cars;you will be very close to main train station as well!!
