Esta adorable casa de playa se encuentra en una calle sin salida y se encuentra a 5 minutos a pie del océano. Encontrará un hermoso camino privado que comienza a la izquierda de la casa y conduce a la playa.

Esta casa familiar bien mantenida cuenta con un dormitorio principal y baño ubicado en el piso superior con una terraza privada. En el nivel principal, hay una sala familiar contigua al comedor y una cocina bien surtida. El primer dormitorio tiene una cama litera; es una litera piramidal, una cama completa en la parte inferior y una cama individual en la parte superior, así como una cama extraíble (nido). El segundo dormitorio tiene una cama matrimonial y capacidad para 2. Hay un baño completo ubicado en el piso principal. Se incluyen TV de pantalla plana, WIFI y cable.

Relájate en la espaciosa terraza que rodea el frente de la casa. Realmente encantador!

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Caroline! The house was even better in person--had just enough room for our group and was very clean and inviting. The owners went above and beyond with their helpful tips and use of their beach wagon to get our stuff to the dune stairs.

Perfect beach getaway!

We stayed 4 days over the 4th of July holiday with my husband, two adult children, and my sister. The house was perfect and we were all comfortable. Beds, pillows, and linens felt like home and there was plenty. All the creature comforts you need were there to use. The path to the beach was right outside the door and an easy 5-7 minute walk. There were beach chairs, umbrella, and a beach wagon to use. I could have stood in the outdoor shower all day when returning from the beach. We even used the grill and sat at the picnic table which was under the shade of the deck. There is a small yard to play in behind the house and two large decks. I wish we could have stayed longer. The host was friendly, communicative, and gave us highlights and recommendations for the area. I could not have asked for a better little getaway. I would go back in a second.

Comfortable, cozy

My family of 5 rented this house mid July. It was very clean and perfect size for us. Nice neighborhood and walk to beach took 5-10 min through a trail to beach access. House had everything we needed. Owners extremely helpful and attentive. Even called us as we were leaving to direct us to an alternative route which helped us avoid traffic. Love the OBX and would rent again. Great vacation

Gorgeous stay in Corolla

Shelia & Norman were EXCELLENT hosts & I have nothing but nice things to say about them & their property. Before my girlfriends & made it down to OBX, their communication was great (I had a few questions beforehand). I received answers to my questions within the hour. The check in instructions were very clear & Shelia listed out all accommodations within the property. Not only that, the property itself was in pristine condition. The home was extremely clean & exactly as pictured. You can tell how much effort & care the hosts put into the maintenance of their home. A few things we very much enjoyed: -Outdoor shower (who doesn't love an outdoor shower?)-We had access to the hosts' beach chairs / umbrella, which was extremely kind of them. -The beach was less than a 10 minute walk. -We loved hanging out on the spacious deck upstairs.This property is NOT a party house. I would recommend this beach home to families / mature adults that will leave it in just as good condition as it was when you arrive. Thanks again to Shelia & Norman! We appreciate you both very much!

Best Vacation Host Ever!!

Our trip to Corolla was wonderful... and, what set it apart was the welcoming nature of our host! Sheila reached out to us with an abudance of information on the area, and fun things to do with the kids for planning our trip. Once arriving, we found to house to be very clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with nice & new equipment & appliances. It's often the norm to have cheap & uncomfortable furniture in the rentals, but this house was very updated, new, comfortable & clean... and the master bed mattress was very nice for sleeping & recovering from the day's activities. With a fun walk to the beach, we enjoyed soft sand, fun waves, & pleasant neighbors. The house is convenient to lots of shopping & restaurants. We had a wonderful trip!! I highly recommend enjoying your Corolla visit with a stay at Sweet Caroline, and the Lindseys... They have my vote as the best vacation host ever!! Can't wait to return!!

Owner was great but then unresponsive after and kept security deposit with no back up

Owner was very communicative until she kept security deposit and would not provide details and photos of what she said was damaged.

clean, great location, will definitely rebook!!

We had the BEST stay at Ocean Sands!!! We arrived to a clean house and immediately walked to the beach. It is VERY quick walk and we saw rabbits along the way. Our 3yo twins did the walk 3x a day without complaint. The outdoor shower water got hot very fast and we did all of our bathing there. It was perfect after cool Beach days. Kitchen has everything you could need and the beds were comfortable. High chair and pack n play for baby. We have stayed at many VRBOs and the main thing that separated this house from The others was the thoughtful, inviting and helpful owners. We had a bit of communication before and during the trip for rainy day/covid closure ideas and we left feeling like we had new friends! We will definitely we back!!

Problem was the rain

The house was super nice and clean. Loved the inside of the house. The kitchen was well supplied and everything in it was in great shape. The issue was rain. The area was quickly under several feet of water. We could not park our car under the parking cover without wading thru a foot of water. The whole yard was flooded and we were now vacationing in a total swamp. The path to the beach was also under at least a foot of water and we could not walk to the beach. We had to try and drive to the beach and there is no where to park. We had to try and park at my daughter's house but of course there was no where to park. It ended up being a miserable trip where we felt trapped in the house. I do not know who is in charge of the paths to the beach but they should be built much higher so visitors can get to the beach, which is why we go there. The slightest rain and the path is flooded or a mud pit. I would never rent a house in this particular area again since it is certainly a low area and floods quickly. The house was great but I would not recommend renting it because of the area it is in.

Great stay!

My two daughters (both in their twenties) booked this lovely house for a short last minute trip to the OBX. We had a terrific time and really enjoyed our stay. Everything was easy — check in was simple and the host is very quick to respond to any inquiries abd super helpful — and the house was so comfortable and VERY clean! It was nicely located a reasonable and flat walk to the beach and we loved being able to use the beach chairs. The location was quiet but also very convenient to shopping and great restaurants. We give this a big thumbs up!

Felt like home!

Sweet Caroline was super convenient to everything in Corolla! We were so lucky to have nice weather for the two weeks we stayed! The walk to and from the beach was easy and flat. Our 1.5 year old loved the deck.. especially the fact that that it was childproof! The beds were really comfortable which is sometimes hard to find in a rental property. Lastly, Sheila was always a phone call away for any and all questions! Thank you for taking care of our family...We didn’t want to leave!

Great First OBX trip

Our family had a wonderful time in this cozy cottage. Everything was super easy (including getting to the beach!) and it was a great first OBX experience for us. We look forward to returning soon.

Charming beach house!

We were 2 couples with young children staying at Sweet Carolina. After a long drive, we were able to check in early, very appreciated. Check in was super easy and the house was very clean! Location was great, we were able to walk to the beach everyday with young children. They have a very useful beach wagon to carry everything. Some days the path gets flooded and a little muddy, but it was still accessible. We had some small issues (outdoor shower not working properly) but the owners were very responsive and got it fixed right away! They even offered to buy pizza to compensate for the inconvenience which was really nice of them. Except towels (which we were told in advance to bring our own) the house has everything that you need. If you’re planning on using the oven, make sure it is working properly since we had some minor troubles with it. Overall we had an amazing week at Sweet Carolina and the house worked perfectly for us! Owners were great to deal with from start to finish. We would definitely recommend and would love to be back!

Loved it

We were looking for a quick weekend at the beach and hadn't ever been to the outer banks. The house was exactly as listed. It was about 1/3 of a mile from the beach on a quiet path away from traffic. The beds were comfortable and we made a lot of great memories!!!

Wedding weekend

Owners were easily in contact if needed. House is super cool and comfortable. Walk to beach is nice. We did it with ease. About 4-5 minutes. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Stay at Sweet Caroline

Sheila was great to work with. We were worried about cleanliness due to Covid19, but she informed us that they were taking several proactive measures to make sure the house was well cleaned between guests and she was spot on! The house was super clean! We really enjoyed our stay, it was perfect for our family of 4.

Pleasant home

Pleasant house with well tended and very clean/comfortable interior. Kitchen had a full assortment of cookware for people who wish to cook every day. The water pressure is good and the hot water heater holds up under multiple showers. Short walk to the beach

We are a local couple with 2 adult children. Our house is named after our daughter, Caroline. "Sweet Caroline'" is the best place to relax and enjoy life. We have done all of the work on the house ourselves and take great pride in it. It is truly a piece of paradise.

This family beach home is located in a private cul-de-sac in the Ocean Sands community of Corolla. It is a 5 minute walk to the beautiful wide beach. "Sweet Caroline's" location provides privacy as well as convenience. There is a grocery store and 2 shopping center's within walking distance.

Easy access to beach, beautiful private path takes less than 5 minutes. Relax on the beach and rinse off in the private outdoor shower. 1 negative review in 12 years, no fault of ours. We love our renters.
