Our South Carolina vacation rental

Serious issues with mice. The VRBO owners should be responsible for trash removal. Not renters. Not enough bath towels. Daily struggle with opening front door. Quiet setting except for all the gunshots/target shooting.Great job with renovation.

Wonderful Stay!

My family and I love this listing! We try and book here every time that we are in the area. The house is clean, spacious, and full of accommodations! My wife and I love watching our boys run around the large property and catch lightning bugs at night! Beth is a top-notch host with great communication. We can't wait to come back again! (We come to dig for crystals at Diamond Hill Mine and it is only 15 minutes away from the house!)

great location for rental in Abbeville

We've stayed at this property several times. The owner is very responsive to any concerns we have had, and the place is nice, with comfortable beds in a quiet, rustic setting. The location is perfect for us--only 10 minutes from Abbeville. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is the lack of some amenities. While it has wifi and televisions, and the cooking utensils are adequate, it lacks a couple of things that would make it perfect: a small table or desk in the corner of the kitchen, a coatrack near the front door, shelves or a small stand in the bathrooms where you can leave your toothbrush and other bathroom items.

Great location near Abbeville.

The house was neat and clean. 3rd year we have rented this property for a month. Nice beds and linens. Only 1:15 to get to Greenville and Abbeville only 20 min away. Owner is very responsive. House would benefit from a few amenities like small tables and shelves in bedrooms and bathrooms.

Perfect for our needs!

This updated rural farmhouse was the perfect place to Netflix and chill for a few days with my two teens near the end of our South Carolina summer vacation. We picked the location because we wanted to go mining for quartz at the Diamond Hill Mine that is about 20 minutes away. After several hot and dirty hours rock hunting we enjoyed our showers in the freshly renovated bathrooms. This rural setting was a big contrast to our normal suburban life, but it ticked all the boxes I needed for my family: plenty of space, wifi, cleanliness, peace and quiet, and a feeling of safety. If we ever decide to visit Diamond Hill Mine again we will definitely try to stay in these accommodations.

Excellent place to stay and a great price

The house is very spacious with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, big kitchen, dining and living room, and is located at a nice secluded location in the country but still close to both Abbeville and Calhoun Falls. This is my first choice to stay when I go down to visit my family/.

Mini vacation

This property was perfect as far as location to the lake. Not to mention, this property is beautifully sitting on lots of acreage that allows for privacy and great early morning coffee sitting and solving life’s mysteries. Will definitely be back!

Comfy and Inviting

This property is so spacious and comfortable. My kids (14 and 17) were so happy they were able to have different rooms. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were decorated nicely, towels were provided, washer/dryer, two bathrooms (one walk in shower) full kitchen at the ready for your meals.... this place has it all including a screened in back porch. I want to add that I always have an issue sleeping in new places. I had no issue at all and I think it's because the color palate of the house is so close to mine lol. My family went mining at the diamond hill mine. After navigating the new roads, we were pleasantly surprised that the dirt road right beside the house almost led us straight to the mine. Loved it. The town of Abbeville is so cute and I suggest making a reservation at the village grill. If we ever have a need to be back in the area, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Awesome place to stay.

Yearly guys fishing trip to Lake Russell. We travel all across SC to different lakes and have stayed in a lot of rentals!! This is one of the nicest ones we have stayed in. Definitely looking forward to returning .

Nice house in a natural setting

We enjoyed our stay here. Though it was just the two of us, there was certainly room for more people. It is out of the way, and with spring in full swing, and the grass cut, it smelled amazing outside and in the screened-in porch. It has everything we needed, paper products, dishes and pots/pans, a Keurig, so that we could make our own breakfast and coffee before heading out for the day. There was a huge washer and dryer, so we were able to do laundry before heading home after 2 weeks. We'll be back.

Country hideaway

Renting this property was easy. Beth responded to all inquiries quickly. We had a problem with the lock on the front door that required the services of a locksmith that Beth got to us in a very reasonable amount of time. One suggestion, a stone driveway would alleviate walking through mud in inclimate weather.

Peaceful Thanksgiving

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have family and friends nearby and this was the perfect location for us to be able to spend time with them. The house is comfortable, in a beautiful location and had everything we needed to prepare a meal on Thanksgiving Day. We hope to return next year!
