Out in the middle of nowhere- heaven. No problems with internet or streaming services, but who would want those when you are surrounded by nature. Right on the river. Great for tubing, kayaking, or just sitting enjoying the sounds of the river. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Vaca for anytime of the year

This is our second time staying at this property and plan to come back time and time again. Owner has everything very well thought out and is very responsive and accommodating. Its the perfect spot, you have privacy yet not too far out of the way. Stock up with food upon arrival and youll have no reason to leave.

Gorgeous River House!

We had a group of 9, including two elderly, two 8 year olds and one pregnant woman. This house was absolutely gorgeous, immaculate and well stocked! Plenty of room to spread out and accommodate everyone. The only disclaimer I would give is that the stairs inside and outside going down to the river is VERY steep, and it was hard for our elderly to get up and down. Everything is very steep. The driveway is tricky going up and down and I wouldn’t recommend going in the first time in the dark. But we loved it once used to it. A beautiful location inside and out. It was a great stay.

A Perfect Family Retreat by the Chattahoochee River

Recently, my family and I spent a weekend at a charming riverside getaway, and it exceeded all our expectations. The accommodations were equally impressive. The space was designed with families in mind, boasting comfortable furnishings and ample room for everyone to unwind. Whether we were playing board games in the living area or preparing meals together in the well-equipped kitchen, it felt like the perfect home away from home. The cozy decor added a warm touch that made our stay even more enjoyable.

Perfect Thanksgiving weekend on the Chattahoochee river

Our adult children and their plus ones enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at this river cabin. It was very well stocked and we were able to easily cook a huge traditional Thanksgiving meal. We loved the fireplace, fire pit and screened porch. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us.

Happy 60th

The house and location are great. Plenty of room to spread out and not be cramped. The property is hilly so make sure you are able to walk up and down hill if you want to go down to the river. There are steps. The screened porch is great if you are good to sit and watch the river. Great views! We will definitely come back!

Wonderful Place

The house is wonderful. It’s clean, fairly spacious and perfect layout for a few small families. The river and swing were perfect to give our kids something to do while the adults enjoyed the fire pit and football on the back screened in deck. Very close to Helen if you want to go into town. The beds were comfortable and kitchen adequately stocked. Would definitely go back.

Loved the cabin! Easily the most stocked cabin with supplies (coffee, filters, trash bags, seasonings, paper plates/ towels) I’ve ever visited. No need to bring much. Owner was great with communication. Cabin is located in a great location. River right out the back door. Helen 15- 20 minutes.

Summer get away

Beautiful property all around,just the sounds from the creek was amazing Plenty to do and just relax on the porch Spent one afternoon just navigating through the creek The small town of Helen was fun in itself The weather was fabulous The true adventure was the driveway ,with the vehicle we rented,it was a challenge,totally my fault for not reading the part about trying to get to the house before dark All in all a beautiful property would definitely recommend to anyone

Wonderful riverfront home

We had a great time exploring north Georgia with the river house as our base. We got a lot of use out of the porch and fire pit. Everything was comfortable. We’re already thinking about returning next year.

Best place ever!

From the check in until the check out.. totally amazing! The host is the nicest, most helpful person and always responded immediately if i had a question! They supply everything you need except your own food! I've never stayed at a property that had everything you need for a week! Definitely no need to pack extra stuff because it most likely will be there! Including shampoo, conditioner and body wash! That is so amazing! The view on the screened patio is the best spot in the house! Listening to the water flowing in the back was so peaceful! I'm already missing it! Don't bring a smaller car because the road to get there is a little tricky. But TOTALLY worth it! The price you pay to be by the water! We tubed in Helen, visited several wineries, did some golfing, kayaked, fished, at at some great restaurants and did a little bit of shopping! The week was amazing! Thank you Kent for helping to make it that way! Us grandparents will forever be grateful for the memories you helped us make!

Relaxing stay

We were only there for a couple of day, but we enjoyed relaxing on the porch and listening to the river. Lots of good hiking around. Owner was very gracious and easy to communicate with.

Family gathering on the river

Loved our stay. Owner was great and communicated through out the check in process. Loved to listen to the river while the entire family enjoyed the huge screened in porch. Kitchen was very well stocked and bed we’re comfortable. Spectacular stay.

We had a good time

A 3 star, average, experience at a 4.5 star property. Bathrooms, kitchen & rooms very clean. -1 star Downstairs patio not usable, pollen bugs & bird poop on furniture; only table to dine on in screened patio covered in pollen, cleaned it and the chairs; chandelier covered in cobwebs; cleaning tools visible around house; holes in screened in patio so not completely bug free. -1 star Expect a grill to have propane included, not a pleasant surprise after long drive and grocery run that all 5 cans were empty. Called property manager, straight to voicemail. Owner immediately answered, said to refill nearby. $28. Heard back a few hours later from property manager, it’s in the fine print on website link we received a couple days before that it may or may not have propane. I’d like to know that in my decision making while booking. That said, we had a wonderful time by the river and it was comfortable to stay at. Drive to property wasn’t bad in big truck.

A very active family that spends most of our time outdoors. We used the property about 30 weekends a year with all of the family. Once the kids got older and playing sports every weekend, we started renting the house about 2005. We now spend a lot of time in Florida also. With the new remodel, we plan to use the house more and more.
