The cottage is clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. The space is set up so a group can easily relax and spend time together. The view is beautiful. The hosts are flexible, friendly, and easy available. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to experience some New England charm. Many thanks to the hosts!

Wonderful vacation spot!

It was our second stay at this location and this time was for two weeks! The property is a beautiful lake front getaway! Clean and well maintained The owner Karl was a pleasure to deal with. We definitely will be back in 2022.

Perfect lake house getaway

We absolutely loved the Lake house. We really enjoyed outdoor area it was perfect the seating options ,grill and fire pit made out week stay perfect. It’s a little off the beaten path but it’s perfect after a day of sightseeing and taking in all the sights in Connecticut. If you looking for a perfect getaway destination this is the place.

Wonderful Lakefront Property

Spent the weekend at the lake house to celebrate a birthday. Beautiful home/property. We loved being on the lake and the home had all the amenities we needed. Will definitely come back with family as kids would love this in the summer!

Beauteous rest with amazing views

The cottage is everything one could need or want when wanting to enjoy quiet surrounded by nature. The hosts really set it up with all one needs to feel like they are home away from home. They communicated well and made sure we knew we could reach out to them for any needs. I left out a star due to water issues which has nothing to do with the host but location I’m sure. We had to keep waiting for it to be available for showers and with teens the complaints must be heard and thus that should be mentioned in the description. For grown ups we manage more gracefully with patience. That was the only thing.

Great house for a friends trip

We had an amazing stay at the Avery Lynn cottage. We rented the house for a weekend for a girls birthday getaway with some friends and the house was perfect. The lake is beautiful and the view from the house was amazing. We loved all of the different options for places to sit in the yard, from the deck, to near the grill to the Adirondack chairs at the firepit by the water. The inside of the house was delightfully decorated and had plenty of room for the 5 of us to putz around the kitchen or hangout on the couches. We brought our own kayaks and SUP and were glad we did because the lake was so big and there was so much to explore. We had plans to explore the area but enjoyed the amenities so much we ended just staying at the house the whole time. Host was responsive and very accommodating.

What a Pleasant Surprise!

We rented the house in April for a week and our experience couldn't be better. The location was perfect and the property was well maintained. My 10-year old daughter and her best friend enjoyed the dock and the lake every single day while my 18-year old daughter, my wife and I spent a lot of time together at the porch with conversation over coffee watching the sunrise in the mornings and full moon reflecting over the lake at nights. We caught a lot of sun fish and pickerel right from the dock and kids were so excited to set them free after we took couple pictures with them. Karl was also pleasure to deal with. We loved our stay in this property and will definitely try to come back as soon as our schedules allow.

Absolutely beautiful location and gorgeous home!

My family and I had a fabulous time. The views are stunning, it was great to have access to the kayaks that the kids just loved, and the house was beautiful and cheerful, with everything you’d need. The area is incredible, with amazing foliage when we stayed this fall!

Peaceful

We so enjoyed this property! Beautiful setting, multiple decks for lounging and gazing out at the lake and the foliage. We loved kayaking and making a fire in the fire pit. The house was bright and cheery, clean and the kitchen was so nice and spacious! The house was well stocked with everything we needed including delicious coffees and cocoas. We loved surrounding area and enjoyed leaf peeping, charming farms including a nearby animal reserve with donkeys, horses and more! The parks in the area are terrific too especially Gillette Castle and Devils Hopyard and we love crossing over the gorgeous Connecticut river and the charming swingbridge. Not too far also from the coast and we enjoyed visiting the many gorgeous parks and beaches there as well. Overall a great experience!!

Gorgeous property!

My husband & I stayed for a weekend with our boys (13, 11, 8) and had a wonderful time! The views of the foliage across the water were gorgeous, and we spent most of our time outside (The house has a balcony/deck, patio, grassy area with a fire pit, AND a dock to hang out on). The house itself was super clean, plenty of space, and all the amenities she could ask for.

Lovely!

A lovely and relaxing getaway on the lake. Perfect for my husband and I, along with our toddler. Having the beach close by was amazing and the deck was the perfect place to spend time. We will be back!

Peaceful Getaway Spot with all the Perks!

We were looking for a place to relax while visiting family in the area and this cottage delivers. The real gem though is the backyard and lake. Plenty of seating on two tiers of decking and patio plus an awesome dock with additional places to relax. The neighborhood beach and swimming area plus kayaks, paddle boats, canoe and life jackets available for our personal use added so much to the value of the rental. If you have kids, bring life vests for them as the 4 available are for 90lbs +. Great place we would gladly visit again.

The perfect getaway

After moving our wedding date three times and abandoneding our European honeymoon we need a nice romantic place to enjoy sometime with our toddler and this house exceeded my expectations! Form the time you come down the walk way and get the first glimpse of the lake until you walk out on the deck this cottage wows you. Also the host provides you with all you need to feel at home. Very warm and inviting even on a cool rainy New England day we en joked cuddling un and just looking out the window. Thank you for a wonderful weekend

Relaxing week

House was very well stocked. Clean, very nicely decorated. We loved the use of dock and kayaks. We caught 12 fish! Even the dogs had a great time in the water!

Perfect lake getaway

The lake house was very clean and well organized. The water was perfect for our children to play in. Deep enough you could jump off the dock and shallow enough next to shoreline that the toddler can stand and watch the fishes. The lake itself and neighborhood was quiet. Wonderful memories made by all.

Dream spot

This home was so beautiful! The photos were great but the location and the home were even better than the photos could show. It was quiet and so very comfortable! We’ve already booked again for next year. Loved it loved it loved it!
