We really enjoyed our stay here! The cabin was as described. The pond had fish that were biting the whole time. The kitchenette was well stocked with the necessities. There is no oven so plan your meals accordingly. There is a futon, a fold out twin bed, and a queen bed in the main cabin, plus the double/twin bunk beds in the second cabin. It was so nice to take our dogs and let them run around off leash (they are well behaved). I liked that there was no TV, forcing you to take in the outdoors. We did have pretty decent cell service despite being in the middle of nowhere. This cabin is off the beaten path! You can’t even see the ranch house from it. We spent a lot of time looking up at the stars, I think you can see nearly every one of them. The our only concerns: the grill was in rough shape, and there was no brush to clean it, but we made it work. And it could have been slightly more clean. It was not “dirty” but needed some attention to smaller details like cleaning the walls and some of the nooks and crannies. We aren’t overly picky people and didn’t mind it, but if you are looking for a pristine place, this might not be your jam. It’s a cabin, there are bugs, and sand and birds nesting under the eves. We personally got exactly what we were looking for. We are from Nebraska, so maybe we are biased, but we thought the scenery was nothing short of beautiful! We will be back!“Anybody can love the mountains, but it takes a soul to love the prairie.” - Willa Cather
