Like many Bermudians of my generation, hospitality was woven into the fabric of my early life. Summer holidays were spent working in the tourism industry, where I discovered the simple joy of making visitors feel welcome in our island home.

During my university years in Vermont, I was inspired by the warmth, charm, and personal touch of traditional bed-and-breakfasts. Those experiences planted the seed for a lifelong dream: creating a place where comfort, connection, and the magic of travel come together.

After more than 33 years of public service in Bermuda—first as a police officer and later as a senior manager—the passing of my mother became a profound moment of reflection and purpose. In honoring her memory, I chose to pursue the dream she always encouraged: building a home founded on love, hospitality, and community.
