Property was as described. Claudette was wonderful and very helpful in every way. She greeted on arrival and walked us throughout the apartment and grounds.I've been to the island many times.The apartment was very nice.Amour Armour was in a very convenient and beautiful location.Close to the prefered beaches.I recommended the facilities

Stayed for 4 nights and would love to return. Absolutely lovely, quiet place on a hill overlooking the island and Ms Claudette was an extremely helpful host with both with check in/check out as well as her local sightseeing and food recommendations. Walking distance to beaches and bus. Was also super helpful to have a convenience/wine store nearby.

The host, Claudette was absolutely wonderful. The location was great and the apartment was wonderful. A short walk got you to the number 7 bus which provided you transportation which connected to everything. Our host provided us a nice surprise one night of the makings for a great Bermuda fish sandwich. We really enjoyed our stay!!

Overall, VRBO was as advertised. Review mainly regarding taxi services, bus schedules. Wait for buses long - even when waiting with locals so not “dumb” vacationers. We ended up taking taxis - up to 160/day. We were told taxi would be 50 - on way in from airportwith 15 minute stop cost us 80 (60 stop).on way to airport with no stop, 80. Suggest making reservation yourself and checking with Aesop -takes credit cards and seemed the most honest.

Wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful stay and Miss Claudette was a great host. She provided information, links, recommendations for sights to see and even did some grocery shopping for us! The property was beautiful, clean, and conveniently located. We'll definitely be coming back!

We love Bermuda!

We had a fantastic three day weekend on the island. The beds were super comfortable and plenty of space.We took cabs and also utilized the bus system. Super easy to get around the island.There are several restaurants that you can walk to. Our favorite was the Gulfstream. Try their delicious thin crust pizza and sushi. It’s right by horseshoe Beach, which is stunning. Definitely make a stop at horseshoe beach in the early evening when the cruise ship guests are not there. It’s very serene.Claudette is a wonderful host and we hope to see her again!

There is no better place to stay in Bermuda than Amour. Claudette is everything you could hope for in a host. She is a local celebrity who is widely known and thoroughly knowledgable about the Home Island she calls "Paradise." Claudette wants you to love her birthplace like she does and responds quickly to every request for help. The outside property is a destination unto itself with magnificent views in all directions.

Great stay!

We stayed for 8 nights as 2 adults and 2 young kids. Hostess was friendly and available on property for questions and assistance. Easy walk to bus #7, a restaurant and a convenience store.

Best Place to Be!

This is the most perfect place to stay on the island. You are in the middle of everything. Just minutes from all the endless pink sand beaches your heart desires. Evening will overlook the best sunsets in Bermuda. And to top it off our host is the best. Went way over the top to make sure we were happy and had the best time. Truly a full hearted person. Definitely coming back!

Claudette, the owner, was especially helpful in recommending restaurants and arranging for transportation. She set us up with an electric car which was definitely the way to get around

Excellent, Wonderful!

The living room, bedroom, and garden was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals at home. We had beautiful views of Bermuda, the beach, and the sunset. Location-wise, we were close to restaurants and the bus stops. And by being in the middle of the island, it didn't take long to get anywhere. Claudette was a gracious host and responded quickly when we needed anything. She stayed in touch with us even before we arrived and also put us in contact with Mr. Bean for transportation, who was always timely and if he couldn't take us where we needed to go, he could always find us someone else.

Claudette is an amazing hostess!

Claudette made us feel right at home. Quiet relaxing part of the island with great beaches a short walk down the hill. Excellent views and ocean air from this hilltop home. Claudette was always available to answer questions, help concierge taxis to the airport and even drove us to the market on our first day! Beats a hotel hands down and has a comfortable set up with full kitchen and outdoor patio. We would go back anytime!

Hidden Gem

The location was close to perfect! Amour’s yard was a great spot to take in the views and to relax. Claudette was a wonderful host providing us with transportation, shopping hot spots, amazing beach suggestions, and dinner options with a stunning view. She was also very easy to communicate with. A big thank you to Claudette for helping make our trip a memorable one.

Amour/Mahogany and Host are Gems of Bermuda

An absolutely gorgeous location just below the Gibbs Lighthouse with equally gorgeous views in all directions. The facilities were as listed: well-equipped kitchen, sizeable refrigerator-freezer, comfortable furniture, a good-sized bathroom, variety of television channels, and such comfortable beds! The outdoor space was breathtaking, with views of the sea, hammock, and shaded seating. Our host was welcoming, informative, unobtrusive and helpful in times of need. Arrangements were made for our transport to and from the airport. Restaurants, beaches and bus stops within walking distance made our 10-day sojourn a true Bermuda high!

Claudette is a gem! She is always there to make sure that you have everything you need to make your stay memorable and comfortable. The view from the apartment is unbeatable. But by far, the fact that it’s within walking distance of Horseshoe Bay Beach is the cherry on the cake.

Lovely home & owner

We loved staying at Amour! Claudette and her home are very lovely. The space is great and has everything you need. Small extras made a difference lile ice packs in freezer we used everyday in our little cooler. Shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower. Having a charging port for the rental car. We will definately be back!

Wonderful location and host

We had a wonderful stay at Amour. It has an unbeatable ocean view and a nice breeze being on top of the hill. It is just a 20 min. hike to the best beaches on the island or you can catch the bus at the bottom of the hill, just a 5 min. walk away. We took the bus and ferry to explore the entire island - Hamilton, St. George, Crystal Cave, Dockyard, etc. Claudette is a very welcoming host and her taxi service through Mr. Bean is the best. You get a tour guide on your way to and from the airport. There are some great restaurants within a 20 minute walk, as well.

Exceeded Expectations!

Amour’s was wonderful! Location could not have been better. Beautiful views and within walking distance of restaurants and beaches! We rented a Tizarri and drove all around the island! Friendliest place on earth I believe! Our host, Claudette, was BEYOND helpful!! It would be hard to find a better host! Her home is nicer in person than the pictures show. Book this place today! Once more people find out about Amour’s, it will be difficult to stay here!

Like many Bermudians of my generation I grew up working in the hospitality business during summer holidays. I was fascinated by the bed and breakfast places I saw in Vermont while I was in university. After over 33 years in Bermuda's public service, first as a police officer and later as a senior manager and prompted by the sudden and unexpected death of my mother earlier this year,I decided to make a reality of my dream of owning a bed and breakfast myself.

AMOUR AMOUR offers nearly everything a holiday-make could ask for - a safe, spacious, clean environment with spectacular views of the Great Sound and south shore. It has easy access by foot to the Fairmont Southampton resort and to some of Bermuda's best beaches and restaurants.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

As I teenager, I valued playing in the wooded area opposite the property and walking on the Railway Trail. As an adult, I value easy access to the bus stop and two restaurants, The Dining Room only three minutes away by foot and Henry VIII, six minutes. Because it is located high on a hill there is a real sense of privacy - the neighbours are across the street.
