Arrival details made getting in the condo very easy, even during the evening hours. Condo and parking is secure with a guard also on property. The owner contacted me upon arrival and was eager to help if needed. There was no reason for assistance. Condo has great views of the ocean and beach was great. We had a magnificent nine days.

Beautiful condo! Had everything we needed for a great stay including beach gear and boardgames. The view was incredible and the beach was practically private. The location is out of the way, which is what we expected. Having the added lanai space of this corner unit made a huge difference. We saw sea turtles every morning!

Great getaway

We had a great stay at this condo. The condo is exactly as pictured/ described. Well stocked kitchen and beach gear. The multiple sliding doors were wonderful for letting the breeze in so much we never had to use the AC. Would stay here again.

The condo is on a beautiful quiet sandy beach, the area is in the older more local part of the island. There is nothing fancy in the area, but that is why the beach is quiet and uncrowded.

Amazing views and beach

The views from this condo were amazing! The beach is beautiful and practically empty all the time. It was awesome!! The neighborhood is a little rough and not a touristy area at all.

Malinda, I am glad that you enjoyed staying at my condo and enjoyed the beautiful uncrowded Sandy Beach as well as the great ocean and mountain views from the condo. The area is on the older, local, less developed and non-commercialized side of the island. It is away from the crowds and tourist attractions, which allows the condo beach to be uncrowded and almost private.

Great place

The condo was exactly as advertised. Very nice place, fully furnished and supplied with everything you could want - towels, beach towels, beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear (none of which we used), dishes, pots, pans, soaps, etc. The TV worked fine but we spent most of the time on the wrap-around patio - super views, sunsets.

Excellent condo with a million dollar ocean view! The unit is quite spacious, has a large balcony and an updated kitchen. Clean and safe grounds with friendly security staff in the lobby. Great find!

Slice of Heaven

This was a beautiful place to stay. Amazing sunset view. Quit and away from all the big city life, but also close to the city if that’s your thing. Very nice beaches. I Loved my time here. Fred is the owner and is very nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends. Thanks Fred for everything and we will see you again soon

30th Anniversary!

We absolutely loved staying here! The turtles, the whales, the sunsets! The unit was very clean and spacious. It is close to places to eat and shop, but if you’re looking to be in the heart of Waikiki you will need to drive. We didn’t mind being farther away as it gave us opportunities to explore. We will definitely be staying here again. Mahalo!

Stunning views

This was our first time renting from Fred. He was very responsive. The condo was well stocked. The views are stunning. Incredible sunsets. We saw turtles and whales daily. Even saw a pod of dolphins and a monk seal on the beach! Thank you.

Private Beach Condo with cool trade winds

Very spacious condo with spectacular views of beach, valley, and mountains from the 13th floor! Swam with sea turtles at nearby beach! Saw sea turtles from our balcony, but swimming was a bit challenging there. Loved eating at the nice nearby restaurant called The Beach House. Expensive but worth it. Drove to Falls and Windward side, but was glad to come home to cozy and quiet condo. Loved going to the pool and jacuzzi. Thanks for having beach chairs and an umbrella. I left a new 2 racket and ball set we never used for the next family. I miss the condo and would love to recommend it to anyone who wants a week in Paradise!

Great location by the beach

There was a snafu and somehow the property was not cleaned after the guest prior to us when we arrived, and it was pretty gross. But Fred refunded us the cleaning fee and we asked him to get someone out to clean the apartment about 1.5 days later. It was overall a pleasant stay and a very nice windy location by the beach. The view from the balcony was great.

My usual cleaning crew had an unexpected situation and unfortunately was not able to clean the apartment in time. This is the first time this is happened in over 10 years. Was able to get a different cleaning crew out the next morning to clean the apartment for my guests. The beach is not usually windy. However this can occasionally occasionally occur during the winter months but it is usually not an issue.

Excellent family condo on an an amazing beach

Though the surrounding neighborhood is a little rough, the condo building and parking area is very safe. Key fobs for all entry and elevator access. Very kind people. The condo was very big and open with absolute amazing views of the beach. You can even look down and see turtles swimming along the shoreline. The owner was so easy to work with and always answered all my questions very quickly. The condo was exactly what pictured. It could use a little updating but it is the perfect beach getaway.

Absolutely fantastic!

Our stay was fabulous...it was hard to leave! The vista is amazing and the balcony was our favorite place to be. The place was beach-ready for us to enjoy...beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc...it was all there for us to use. The condo was also very well set up for travelers. Fred was a great host and responded quickly to our inquiries (though not much guidance was needed as it was set up so well!) Fred was concerned about the construction bothering us, but it really didn't as we were at the beach during most of the day. Thank you Fred for opening your home!

Perfect spot!

My wife and I spent nine days here, and loved this place. It overlooks a beautiful, small bay with a quiet sandy beach. The unit is clean, well-supplied and with a beautiful view (13th floor) with a large, private deck. It has air conditioning but we never used it. There is great flow-through ventilation of tropical breezes with the sound of ocean waves. We bought our food at a couple local, well-stocked markets. The place is very secure and quiet. The owner is one guy, not some company, and he is responsive, personable and reasonable to deal with. We plan to go again.

I've looked at other units in the same building and the corner units are MUCH nicer! The views are incredible! I love watching the sea turtles from the Lanai! The location is great ! Makaha is beautuiful and a short (:30min) drive to Wikiki. The condo itself is nicely updated and self contained with a full kitchen and washer and dryer along with cable television, DVD Player and stereo. This is by far one of my favorite relaxing vacation destinations and will be staying again!

40th anniversary

Overall very satisfied. The unit is fine. View great. Beach great. We were fine with area and location. I would say if coming to Hawaii for 1st time this isn't probably what you are imagining. There are several rules the manager enforces and took couple days to figure out but no big deal. We certainly plane to go back but saw something on posted in 2015 they will only allow monthly rental so not sure about that.

The Hawaiian Princess is in a quiet local area on a sandy beach 30-45 minutes from Honolulu and Waikiki. If you want to be where the "action" is then this would not be the place for you on your first trip to Oahu . Regarding the "manager rules", this is pertaining to the building house rules, (these are not my personal condo rules), i.e. building is a non smoking building, pool hours , no sand/water in the lobby or elevator , no excessive noise etc… Lastly my condo is available for rentals less than one month

Excellent spot to relax away from busyness of tourist zones

This condo is excellent- with great ocean, beach, and sunset views. We saw turtles, whales, and sharks from the lanai. We swam in the ocean and hung out at the pool - neither were crowded or busy. The condo was clean and well equipped. Beds were comfortable - shower is great - lots of towels and linens - and beach chairs, umbrellas , and stuff. Everything that we needed and more in the kitchen. We relied on the lovely ocean breezes and did not need AC. We were very happy paying a more reasonable price for a condo that is a bit dated (has not been updated/renovated) - but excellent nonetheless. Loved wraparound lanai. Fred is a great host - very flexible and welcoming and accommodating. We highly recommend this condo and host!
