Catania is a wonderful city and our visit to the old town did not disappoint. If you want to be in the heart of the city and fully experience the people and places of Catania, I highly recommend a stay at Amber's House. The home is beautifully appointed and centrally located in a safe and charming neighborhood. The neighborhood is welcoming and full of activity. At Amber's House, you are only steps from the daily open-air market, an experience all to itself - fresh fish of all kinds, as well as beautiful fruits and vegetables. In the same location, you will find an abundance of wonderful restaurants and plenty of nightlife. Our host, Massimo, was outstanding! He responded immediately to every question and need. Massimo went above and beyond by meeting us at the airport and leading us to the property on his motorcycle. He was concerned we would have trouble navigating the city due to a large festival that had caused many street closures. Amber's House had everything we needed - including a great coffeemaker, hairdryer, and washing machine. This property is also someone's home which, for us, was an added bonus. I highly recommend Amber's House and look forward to returning on our next visit to Catania!
