We had a wonderful stay at the Star Cove. The property was clean and just as advertised. Being on the lake was so much fun. This was one of our favorite VRBO’s we have stayed in. We will return.

Perfect couples getaway rental

This property was cozy and clean. Perfect for a couples getaway with proximity to many great wineries and restaurants or all the comforts of home in one place. You can't go wrong.

Star Cove

Nice property right over the water. Great views and location. The cargo elevator was a life saver. Management did a great job helping us with a small issue in a timely manner.

Paradise Getaway

Our only glitch was trying to unlock door upon our arrival. We tried about 30 times with passcode given. After contacting someone, it eventually worked. All was forgiven once we entered the door! The place was very well-equipped. Most of our time was spent enjoying the spectacular views from the deck. We only visited a couple wineries ( which were fabulous), however, we were always wanting to go back to the house and spend our time there. My husband and I went with our daughter and son-in-law. We all kept saying how relaxed we were and did not want to leave! We definitely want to stay more than 3 nights next time.

Serene lake house

This rental was exactly as pictured and described. Beautiful and clean! The back deck was right on the lake making fishing easy and fun. Relaxation was no problem as it was extremely quiet. Near many vineyards and not far from Seneca at all. We would definitely go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!!

Perfect Location

This place was the perfect location. The deck hangs over the water and between the deck and the dock there is plenty of seating to soak in the beauty of Keuka Lake. We barbecued a few times and it is a perfect set up for enjoying a meal on the lake. We went over to Watkins Glen to the State Park to see the gorge(25-30 minutes away) and Ithaca (1 hour) to see some additional falls. It was great having the 2 kayaks which we put many miles in along the shore. The dummy elevator to bring your things down was working and is a godsend giving the amount of stairs. The only negative would be the shower/bathroom is small, but, who really cares when you are at such a great location. If it is not booked when we are looking to travel next year, we will be back!

Great weekend

Property was clean and beautiful- large deck right on the lake, perfect for our family getaway to celebrate a birthday. Parking and checking in was very easy, as was locking up and checking out. Some supplies were provided (pans, utensils, dish soap...) but other staples were missing (oil, coffee) that I typically see at VRBOs. Additionally, while bedsheets were provided, we had to make the beds. Not a huge deal, but also a first at a VRBO. Not big deals, just details I'd like to know ahead of time!

Great location

We really enjoyed staying at this property. The deck was truly lovely and right on the water. We would have preferred more comfortable beds/pillows. Overall great stay.

Clean, great location, but......

Clean, great space for two people, however improvements could (& should) be made. Shower stall is incredibly small, bathroom doesn’t have any counter space. There is no cable TV.; not the end of the world of course, but was not clear to us on the description (normally wouldn’t care however it rained the entire 5 days we were there). Appreciate the kayaks - convenient for use (for the few hours it didn’t rain on us!). Bed was comfortable. Deck and stairs need attention! Be forewarned....the stairs are significant and very steep. We are both athletic and fit, just have worn knees yet it was a bit scary for us. A number of people would not be able to handle those stairs. Lift / elevator to unload your things and have moved to the house wasn’t working. Fake candle scape was a nice idea however each had dead batteries. Sounds minor and is, yet it’s the little things that add up. It is a nice place and is on the water, it’s just getting a little tired.

Not enough bath and hand towels. Coffee pots were filthy.. Mold and mildew on patio cushions.

Water pressure okay and enough hot water. No cable TV- if there was- there were no instructions how to operate tv. Outdoor rugs on deck very worn and shabby. Some dishes and silverware were dirty. I would not recommend this cottage.

Great family getaway.

The home was nice and clean, and perfect for our family getaway. The view is gorgeous and the deck is lovely for resting and eating. Just a note for future guests, the shower is rather small, there are a lot of stairs and the coffee maker leaks.

Idyllic property and great vacation

Star Cove is a lovely cottage, perfect for our family of 4. The location was perfect, it was clean and welcoming and included a well-stocked kitchen, beautifully maintained porch and furniture on the deck/dock, great panoramic views and kayaks. We rented a boat and were able to tube on the lake, which I think is a must. We swam right off the dock/deck. We never even turned on the T.V. because we spent so much time outside and played games inside at night. The town of Hammondsport is lovely as well. The only drawback was that the one bathroom was tiny, particularly the shower, and the shower's water pressure was truly non-existent. This was tough for a family with 3 long-haired women. Also, one nitpicky point, I've rented VRBO before directly from an owner. I found the property managers to be less responsive this time. I've already recommended this home to many of our friends and family. Keuka Lake is simply a gem and this home is a great place to stay while enjoying it.
