Great house & location, we rent in this community every year and love the beach and walks. This is first time with this house. Trying to keep the sand out with a vacuum that does not work was a chore with the pine floors (cracks). We always try to clean and have things exactly the way it was when we arrived as we leave. The washer and dryer is not really meant for you to do towels and such for the week as the dryer does not dry anything. This is a great house and location but a little updating as listed above and the furniture outside and kitchen chairs that are broken should be considered for the price of the week. We enjoyed the house and will rent again if available when we decide to book. Manager was very nice and welcoming.

Family 4th of July Celebration

I was able to rent this wonderful Maushop unit at the last minute fortunately for my sister and her daughter. It was the perfect location, beautiful accommodations with the most wonderful cross breeze! Thank you!

A lovely Maushop cottage…

My husband and I had a lovely week at Rose’s Maushop cottage which is literally a stone-throw from the beach. The owner welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around in the well appointed cottage and how everything worked. We only had one question during our stay which was promptly answered. Having our son, daughter-in-law and 4-year old stay over 2 nights worked out well also. There are plenty of visitor parking spaces in the village. Rose was easy and nice to work with. Thank you!

Nice Location but there were issues

The location is ideal. It is not right on the beach, but close to the path to the beach. The first floor needs updating in the kitchen and bath. There is not enough cabinet space and nowhere to put food. The back and front screen doors need repair. They got stuck and were hard to move. The downstairs toilet was not working properly. The upstairs was recently updated, well-decorated, and comfortable. Lots of stuff in cabinets, under stairs, and in closets. The check-in process was quite odd. There was not lock box and the owner wanted to meet in person to hand over the keys. Also when I arrived at the designated time, she was still in the house working and cleaning and remained there for about an hour more. She also informed me that she would be arriving at 9:00 am on the next Saturday when the check-out time was posted as 10:00 am. I tried to communicate with her during the week by texting and leaving phone messages but got no response. There were no checkout instructions. Handwritten notes were pasted around the house with some brief instructions. Although the location was nice, I do not think I would stay there again.

Great week away!

My family had a great week at Rosemary’s place. It was the perfect size for our family of 4 and you could not beat the location to the beach. Rosemary was wonderful to work with and met us at check in to make sure we were all set for our week stay. We love Maushop Village and will be back.

maushop Village July 2021

My wife and I had a wonderful time this past July at this condo. It was literally steps to the beautiful beach there. We definitely would rent again. We would like to see it updated a bit, and a vacuum cleaner needs to be there for sometimes we couldn’t help but track in some beach sand and the broom didn’t work effectively. Overall great time and recommend it highly.

So convenient to the beach access and village.

We had a wonderful week at Maushop and the weather was perfect. Rosemary was so accommodating and made the check in and check out process easy. The lovely cottage is right on the beach path making the daily walk with beach chairs and toys a five minute excursion. The downstairs is a completely open floor plan and felt very spacious. The cottage has a wonderful cross breeze through the bedrooms and we only used the ceiling fans - never turned on the A/C. Both bedrooms have water views and we enjoyed seeing both sunrises and sunsets over the water. Parking was directly behind the back door path so loading and unloading the car was fast and easy. Thanks Rosemary for having us as guests in your home this year!

Fantastic

I love Maushop Village in New Seabury..Roses cottage is perfect .I have stayed there before and will definitely stay there again. The cottage is very close to the entrance to the beach and other great walking paths through New Seabury to Ponponesset Inn and shopping area that houses the famous Raw Bar with the worlds best Lobster Salad Roll. This is a great location to travel all over the Cape. We ate lunch at Captain Kidds in Woods Hole one day and the next day traveled in the other direction to Hyannis and ate at Spanky's on the harbor and watched the high speed ferry leave for Nantucket . The night before we were supposed to leave my friend turned to me and said maybe we should stay another week. We had a great time and loved the cottage.
