Wow! Just read your review! Makes me want to book a stay in the cottage! Truly, of the many, many guests I've hosted, you are among my very favorite! You AND your peeps. I understand first-hand your desire to spend time with you sister. What infectious energy she has. She's living life to the fullest. She told me that since you all were children you've not spent so much time together, and she is absolutely loving it! These are gifts for true! Thank you for finding your way to my cottage. My door is always open to you. :)

The main house is a large and beautiful historic home. Under normal circumstances, it lives beautifully. Unfortunately, I found myself dealing with two separate medical emergencies with family members--one the day before Francine's arrival and one the day of. I sent her a note apprising her of the situation. She was gracious in her reply. I thanked her for her understanding and said I might not be fully ready upon their arrival, but would have the master bedroom and kitchen ready so they could settle in. Two bathrooms, master bedroom, kitchen, yard, driveway and commodious porch were ready. What I was not able to do before their arrival was fully empty the dresser in their room or relocate my office from the dining room to a fifth bedroom we use for storage. So, yes, the dining room was, unfortunately, cluttered. I asked if they thought they might use it during their five-day stay and they indicated they would be involved in wedding festivities and would not use it. Given that, I did not relocate the legion of books and computers that I would have under normal circumstances. So, yes, it was cluttered. Life happens.

Doug and Jane were an absolute delight to host. Generous, genial, enjoyable! They left the cottage better than they found it. I would have them back in a skinny minute. Indeed, I hope they come back!

A perfect couple to host!

Kara and her wonderful family graced my home with warmth and conviviality. Front porch gatherings were a musical delight -- guitars! vocals! drumming! and, best of all, great conversations. They treated my house with the care they would treat their own. Much to my pleasure and that of many others who were on campus during their stay, Kara and her sister Sarah and their spouses found homes in town and all will be relocating here this fall. New friends and neighbors! Lucky us!

Sydni and Mitch are dream guests! They came with baby Abrahm and all wore smiles aplenty! Mitch is an arborist and strolled the grounds of the compound with me and gave me invaluable insight about the many mighty trees on the property. I would happily host them again and again!

Don and Barbara are a delight! You will be among the fortunate if they ask to stay at your property. I would host them again in a skinny minute!
