Nice apartment well decorated with good furniture. Little to no toiletries. Toilet paper sufficient for only 3 days, then had to buy additional. Really? No shampoo. My wife got a shock when trying to turn the bedside lamp on. Upon inspection the plug was damaged. Host fixed the plug the next day but this could have resulted in a serious injury but was brushed off pretty casually by host

Dear Mike, thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the apartment, its design, and furnishings! To clarify for future guests, this is a self-catering short-term rental, not a hotel. We provide a starter set of essentials (for example toilet paper, dish soap, a small set of toiletries, etc) to help get guests settled in. After that, additional supplies are the responsibility of the guest, which is standard for this type of accommodation. In addition, we don't advertise that we supply toiletries for the duration of the stay. Staying with us comes at a significantly lower cost than a hotel, and with that comes a different level of service and included amenities. Items such as ongoing replenishment of toilet paper and toiletries are therefore not part of the offering. Regarding the bedside lamp, the issue was addressed promptly after being reported, repair took place and resolved the next day. We have since confirmed everything is functioning properly. We aim to provide a comfortable and accurately represented stay, and we encourage all guests to review our listing details carefully to ensure it aligns with their expectations. We appreciate your stay and feedback, and we wish you all the best in your future travels!

Just what the doctor ordered!!

This is a beautiful property and looks just like the pictures. Previous reviews of this property are spot on. The bed was super comfy and the living area quite relaxing. Pieter's place was super clean. This is coming from an OCD germ phobe. It was also very inviting and felt like home. The amenities at The Pearl were great and never too crowded. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Being so close to the beach was the icing on the cake!! Overall, this was the ideal location for our vacation. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Pieter for a wonderful stay!

Comfortable stay close to beach.

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. We found the space well laid out. We would have appreciated a tad more conveniences such as trash bags, a bath mat, wash cloths, top sheet, more than two tablespoons of dishwashing soap, etc. Our biggest issue was a plumbing problem that took days to fix and was very inconvenient. The owner however was amazing. He was quick to respond to our needs and helped in every way he could. Offering us one of his other vacant units to move in to if necessary. We really appreciated him! And yes, we would recommend his place and would stay there again without hesitation.

Great location and nice condo

It was a great stay a few mins from the beach and the condo was very clean. It’s a quiet place with a nice pool and hot tub. The bed was really comfortable and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. The only thing we were disappointed in was the breakfast. We got there at 830, was told it was open at 9, came back at 9 and still not open. This waisted our first morning there bc we waiting and on the last day the place was covered with newspaper and looked like it was under construction so we never got our free breakfast. Not a big deal but this was one of the reasons we picked this over other places. Other than that we highly recommend!

I searched Playa Linda resort in Aruba as it was next to the 40 other family members in our group… I

Short version is we were scammed into a condo off location & needed to rent a car to join our family daily.. Wi-Fi barely works, restaurant & store was closed& owner stripped our sheets and never made bed again..somebody put snacks in our fridge in our absense. Owner refuses to work with us and claImed he couldn’t recoup lost $$ by refunding us… horrible experience for first time Aruba tourist

Dear Margaret, You accidentally booked our apartment instead of the Playa Linda Hotel where the rest of your family was staying. VRBO doesn't book by itself, you did. Direct after you noticed the mistake you wrote me the following; "I’m so confused about this … I booked the Playa Li da resort with Vrbo & took a cab there but they said they didn’t have a reservation. I’m with 50 people & now we r in a complete different place?? Do you have units at Playa Linda??" I responded that we didn't have units there. The next day you asked for a refund so you could join your family. We told you that this was not possible because we couldn't rent the apartment out on such short notice. The same afternoon at 1.07 pm.you wrote; "Wi-Fi also does not work." I went immediately to your apartment to solve your "complaint". I knocked, nobody answered. I went in to repair the wifi. Fortunately there was nothing wrong with the wifi. Everything worked fine. At 1.21 pm (just 14! minutes later) I wrote; "Hi Margaret, I just visited your apartment. Unfortunately you were not at home. The internet works fine. No problem at all." When I entered your apartment it was clear it was abandoned. There were no personal belongings left. I suspected that you moved to Playa Linda. I switched off the airco's and lights and left. Nobody entered the apartment after I left and took sheets etc. The apartment is only cleaned by a professional company after guests leave. Not in between. Your reservation was from April 17th until Monday April 25th. On Wednesday April 27th, 2 days after you checked out! you wrote at 11.17 am; Hi we went there on Friday night at 11PM to sleep & someone took the sheets & pillowcases off🤷‍♀️very disappointed with our experience with you… This means that you slept 3 nights without sheets and pillowcases without complaining. That took 2! days after you already checked out... Margaret, I understand that you are angry about the mistake you made and that we couldn't compensate for it. What I don't understand is that you are deliberately trying to hurt us. You tried this also with VRBO. They also turned you down after reading all the evidence. I hope you understand that we, as Premier Hosts, will not host you again in the future. Best regards, Pieter Visser

Much Needed Vacation

If you are like my wife and I and needed to get away from our children and just relax, this is the property for you. It is not near the big resorts, not near the main strip of restaurants, but it is in a great location near everything and with the most fantastic beach a short 2 min walk from your door (rent a car for access to the whole island). The condo complex and apartment was clean, quiet and had all the amenities you need to relax. The pool and hot tub were perfect for a dip after a day at the beach, the restaurant on premise provided a fantastic breakfast. Thank you Orlando! Eagle Beach offered palapas on a first come first serve basis free of charge. Just bring a bag or shirt, hang it on the hook and it is yours all day to get out of the sun. Coco Loco beach bar had great frozen mojitos and you were close to a ton of good restaurants. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you Pieter for a great escape from the everyday.

Best vacation ever

This condo was amazing. Super comfortable and it is located 5 minutes walking to the best beach in Aruba. The condo has an amazing pool and also a wonderful hot tub. Everybody is so friendly there is also an amazing restaurant located in the condo and the food and service are wonderful. Can't wait to be back.

Great place to stay.

This is a clean comfortable condo in a quiet complex. Pros are the wonderful pool and hot tub, laundry facilities, Netflix and some restaurants nearby. Very short walk to Eagle beach. No real cons except that some of the cookware is showing wear and tear and a few hooks or shelves in the bathroom would be a good idea. This is minor stuff. It is a very nice place to stay.

Walking distance to paradise.

Unit was clean and close to the beach. Area could use some clean up needed in area walking to the beach. A little noisy at the pool. Store was not open at 10 am when it stayed it opened at 8:15. Overall a positive experience for the 3 days we were there. Coming from the Costa Linda that sits on the beach with a breathtaking view we were a little spoiled the week prior.

Our thoughts

A plug for the kitchen sink or basin to wash dishes is required. It was very uncomfortable watching TV in the living room as the sound does not work properly. Too loud or too soft to hear spoken words meant constantly increasing and decreasing the volume. Not relaxing at all. Clothes closet door came off, 2nd day of stay. Pierter will have it fixed. Very clean and well decorated.

Just as described - Excellent Communication

The place is well kept and just as described on listing. You have everything you need there as if the condo was all yours. The beach is very close. You can walk or drive. Parking wasn't a problem at the condo or the beach. We thought it seemed very safe.

Good condo for a few days or a month stay.

Beautifully decorated, on a quiet street and a short walk to the beach. We had all we needed. Only Netflix though, no cable TV. Lovely big pool. Car suggested to get to anything other than the beach. Nice little Shop on site with good coffee. Pieter is a responsive host.

Beautiful, convenient, super clean condo 6 minutes walk from Eagle Beach.

So happy we found this condo! Everything inside (furniture, bathroom, kitchen, decor) seemed brand new, very high quality and well thought out. Location is perfect: 5-6 minute walk to Eagle Beach, which was by far out favorite beach in Aruba. The condo is on the first level, steps from pools, jacuzzi, gazebo, grill, as well as on-premise restaurant, a little store with great espresso and smoothies, and a spa. We stayed over Christmas, but it never seemed busy in the complex - the atmosphere is very relaxed, everyone is super friendly, grounds are impeccably clean. The complex is on a tranquil street with two other excellent restaurants. The condo owner, Pieter, is amazing - super helpful, responds very quickly every time, gets on top of any questions immediately. He even helped us get a reservation at a restaurant that was fully booked. We would absolutely stay in this condo again!
