Adorable Lil 'Ol' Beach Shack

Escápate a los trópicos en la casa de Henry. Es una joya de casa, diseñada por el reconocido arquitecto Eric Moser, con interiores por parte de un experto de HGTV. Es un diseño costero clásico, con techos altos, ventanas grandes y una gran cantidad de espacios al aire libre. Hay un dormitorio principal en la planta baja que se abre directamente a la cubierta y un dormitorio en el piso superior que se lava con luz natural. Afuera, hay una envoltura alrededor de la cubierta con una mesa de comedor y ducha. Hay WiFi, por supuesto, y un patio cercado con sombra, así que traiga a su cachorro.
Es un paseo corto en bicicleta o incluso un viaje más corto hasta las playas públicas de East End y Main, el campo de golf, el santuario de aves de Audubon y el centro de la ciudad. La casa viene con 3 bicicletas, para que puedas moverte por la isla como un local.
P. S. Henry's House lleva su nombre por nuestro loro amazonico, Henry, quien ha sido un cliente habitual en la isla Dauphin durante años.

This place is a gem in Dauphin Island. It was everything we were looking for. Quiet, quaint and had all the amenities. We loved that we could be in such a quiet place and on the beach easily.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Henry’s house. The host was quick to respond on any questions asked. The house was very clean and offered all the amenities that were needed. It’s also in a nice quiet area on the island.

Henry’s Dauphin Island

Perfect, roomy, well equipped little cottage. Had everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood. Close to East end beaches. Loved the plants and the screened in porch was fabulous!! Definitely stay again!

Quiet Neighborhood on East End

We enjoyed our stay on Dauphin Island, as always. This neighborhood is quiet, close to several restaurants, & the homeowner provides bikes so it’s perfect for our family.

Great quiet place!

Wonderful place to stay, quiet neighborhood with everything you need there at the home. Bikes, board games, privacy, the only knock, which it wasnt bad is the neighbors dogs run up to the fence and scare the mess out of you every now and then, but its just dogs being dogs. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend this home.

So relaxing!

We loved our stay in this adorable lil ol beach shack! We enjoyed the bikes and loved the porch! We sat on the porch to enjoy our coffee, happy hour cocktails and night caps. :) the location is close to everything and also quiet and relaxing. The yard was beautiful!

Cute house as described. Fenced yard was larger than expected. Lots of plants! Quiet neighborhood with the exception of a few loud dogs now and then. One of the better rentals we’ve stayed in.

Beautiful House in a Relaxing Location

First time staying in a house on DI. Fantastic house with beautiful landscaping and interior design. Very functional for our family of 3 on a quiet street with easy access to the entire island. Well appointed with all the necessities, a grill, coffee maker, and plenty of towels. The deck and outside area is great and the bikes are a great addition. Nice and relaxing trip at a very affordable price for a holiday week! Glad we found this property and hope to stay again!

Excellent peaceful getaway in a really cute little house

The house was just perfect for the two of us and our dog. The house is located in the middle of a tree lined residential neighborhood It is quiet and convenient to beaches, stores restaurants etc, Everything in the house was great and the bikes were used to explore the island. East beach and Middle beach are a short drive or bike ride away. After staying there. Any help we need with appliances or information, the owners were quick to respond. we booked in again for next year before we even left.

Love the vibe

This cottage is perfect. It was clean, comfortable, and beautifully-decorated. I love the neighborhood. So peaceful. Hard to imagine ever staying in a condo when gems like this cottage are available. And same goes for the island. A real community feel here and the beach (we chose the middle public beach) was almost to ourselves. We took the ferry to gulf Shores to check it out and I cannot begin to tell you how glad I was to have chosen Dauphin Island. If you like bumper to bumper traveling, loads of people, touristy shops and mini golf, and chaos....go to Gulf Shores. If you want to feel like a local, peaceful R&R, and an adequate choice of restaurants and small shops, go to Dauphin Island. And definitely stay at Henry’s House. They had everything we needed to feel right at home.

Wonderful getaway

We loved the house. Owner was great. Just like pictures. Well stocked with towels and kitchen utensils etc. Was a pleasure to cook there. Definitely a drive to the beach if have kiddos (mine are 5 and 7) We tried out all the beaches....loved west the best. Went ghost crabbing one night, to the aquarium and on a boat tour (Duke at the Dauphin Marina...highly recommend...pretty ride and just as kids were getting over it. they pull in the net and so many fish, shrimp, crabs, and jelly fish to play with) Swing on the porch was a fave. The weather did not like us but we made the best of it. A bit of a conservative area and monotone but we didn't have any incidents. Great house! Would definitely stay again!

I'm a native of Mobile and have lived all over the place, but my latest residence is Atlanta.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I've been coming to the island since the 1970s, so having my own house there was a must. We're on the East End, because that's where the locals live, and it's the only part of the island that can withstand a hurricane. Plus, we like trees. Dauphin Island has one of the last stretches of unspoiled marine forest and seashore left on the northern Gulf Coast. Most of the world doesn't know about it, and we want to keep it that way.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Dauphin Island is great because it's not Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. There are more birds and turtles than tourists. If you can't live without a theme park, wall-to-wall shopping and the energy of a big crowd, go somewhere else. DI is about nature. Solitude. Peace.
