El Bunkhouse Hotel está ubicado en el histórico Jackson I. O.O. Edificio F Lodge, construido en 1910. El edificio se renovó por completo en 2015 y ahora funciona como un hotel boutique, bar con todas las funciones y con licencia. ¡Incluso alberga la oficina de correos de la ciudad en el vestíbulo! If i could rate it a negative five i would. There is no grocery stores, or gas stations, in town and a restaurant only open weekends. Not a huge deal, so we bought 5-6 frzn dinners in Dillon. The bunkhouse only has one of those tiny dorm fridges for the entire place, (tiny frzr part was full) so i wrote our names on them and used the owners freezer. When got home from our trip we had a bill waiting for food purchases, i explained that WE had purchased our own food, and sent Rick the on-line Dillon Safeway receipt (w/ date & even pics of the items, he still insisted we ate two of his Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls, sending a pic of two empty boxes that were apparently in some common trash can somewhere, not in our room where we put all of our trash. Besides accusing us of theft he also mentioned that we were supposed to be gone Thursday. When i showed him directly from the Vrbo site that he was mistaken he didn’t apologize, and just gruffly said he’ll check into it later. Thought he was a nice guy at first, but he really gave a very sour ending to our trip. Hard to say anything good about a place that accuses you of stealing. I definitely would never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.

A Gem in Jackson!

Looking for something different and unusual? The hotel in Jackson is a one of a kind treat! We landed there on a night that gave us the entire building to ourselves! We didnt dip into the hot springs across the street, but we did enjoy a few drinks and chatting with the really nice locals! Our room was simple and comfy.

Rick is amazing, hotel is gorgeous!

At first I was worried about the bathroom being down the hall, but it was not an inconvenience at all! Super clean hotel, comfortable bed and friendly host! I would love to stay here again and again. Hot springs are close enough to walk to. We even got to do a load of laundry to make our trip easier!

Warm Welcome

Great little hotel/hostel, just over the road from the hot springs and bar. Very warm welcome and friendly host . Great communication. Only negative was slightly confusing listing when factoring exchange rates, but host Rick was great at accomodating our needs. Thank you.

Made us feel like Family, the kind you like

Nine seasoned adults from Wisconsin arrived tired of the road, thirsty, and looking for a friendly face.... Rick and his Bunkhouse Hotel made our hearts full again. Victor wants to thank him for the June Bug, Barb wants to thank him for bartering cheese curds/venison stick for elk, and the rest of us loved sitting on the side of the highway visiting. All of us sleeping upstairs together was like being in scouts again. Thank you!

It was not fancy by any means, but it worked for what we needed. The biggest downfall of the property was how cold it was! Bed was comfortable.

Beds, bar, and a buck!

The only reason I didn't give the Property Description 5 stars is because it's a rather difficult property to accurately describe. However, Rick was extremely helpful in answering all my questions before I accepted. The Bunkhouse Hotel is a UNIQUE property and we loved staying in this important piece of local history. It being winter, we three adults enjoyed the entire second floor, which during summer months is rented on a per-bed basis in hostel fashion. We called this our Goldilocks Suite, with 5 beds for 3 peeps, plus a bar and a buck! The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was immaculate and we had plenty of towels and a gazillion special personal ammenities in the bathroom. Plus the use of a dryer for our wet ski clothes. Considering the age of the building we were impressed with the updated plumbing and electrical work. It is not easy to upgrade such an old building. We enjoyed way more electrical outlets than most fancy pants places provide. The decor focuses on the rich history of Jackson and the surrounding Big Hole region. One caveat, although we did not stay in them, the private rooms downstairs looked very small and a little claustrophobic. If you require lots of natural light, you might not enjoy those rooms. But for a large group traveling together, the second floor of the Bunkhouse Hotel is THE place to stay.

Best Friend’s Birthday

Our stay was great! The hotel is located a 1/2 block away from the hot springs and is clean, comfortable and convenient. We rented the entire upstairs - 5 queen beds and full bathroom. In the morning, Rick has a pot of coffee ready to be brewed by the first person up (which was me). It was a pleasant surprise.

If you want quirky, local color, this is your place

If you are looking for quirky, this is it. The hotel is unique, authentic, perfectly decorated, located in a tiny Montana town and right across the street from hot springs and an excellent restaurant. Many of those in our large party love quirky/unique, and they were thrilled with the entire experience. However, if you need comfort and privacy (we rented the entire hotel for our family), there are many issues with the property besides squeaky, noisy floors and rooms without closets or individual bathrooms. We did not know that the hotel is also the town post office. Customers came in talking loudly at all hours, interrupting our privacy, awakening us and even appearing irritated that we were there. The beds had flannel sheets and one couple was convinced they had bed bugs. The mattresses could have been much better. People came in off the street three times asking to use the bathrooms or showers. One sink (of two) was clogged throughout our stay. And despite a small fridge, it was not easy even to make sandwiches in the tiny common space. There is a coffeemaker, but there were not mugs for a large group and coffee could have been left for the clients by the owners, since the closest grocery store is 30 minutes away. In sum: quirky, adorable, fun but low on comfort.

Incredible!

Incredible stay at the Bunkhouse! Rick was great to work with, quick to respond and very helpful. The property is so unique and perfect for a large group. We did a multi-family ski trip based out of the Bunkhouse and it was wonderful. Maverick is just 30 minutes away and Lost Rail just 50. Both mountains were skiing well and offered plenty of options for different levels of ability. Jackson Hot Springs is right across the street and perfect for a post-ski soak. We ate at both Jackson Hot Springs and Rose's Cantina and both were excellent. The Big Hole is a unique area in Montana and the Bunkhouse is the perfect base camp for exploring the area.

Great get away

We had our family stay in the upstairs bunkhouse area. Very nice and clean. Comfortable . Beds could use upgrade but everything else was fabulous. Would recommend it for sure

My husband,grown son,and myself all enjoyed staying at the historic hotel. The owner was very friendly and made us feel at home. It was clean beds were comfortable, showers clean..Everything was 5 star. ..We now know where to stay after a trip to Crystal Park and have been digging crystals all day...Across the road from the hotel is a lodge where we ate supper one evening and breakfast the following morning....Everyone was super friendly...You will not be disappointed staying at this beautiful hotel
