The cottage was comfortable and in a quiet location within walking distance of all of our favorite CB hangouts. We have been visiting this quaint mountain town for many years and found the Gothic Cottage to be one we would return to for a get away. Our hosts were gracious and attentive to our needs.We would recommend this to anyone interested in exploring this historic area.

Very sweet back house on a quiet street - check-in was easy and the owners were friendly and introduced themselves. We loved sitting in the backyard lawn chairs and walking everywhere. Cozy with plenty of space for two people - the bathroom was nice, great shower. Our ONLY note is we wish there were more windows that opened. We were a little warm. We would (and hopefully will) stay here again!

The location is wonderful—just a short walk to Elk Avenue with easy access to restaurants, shops, and the beautiful historic downtown. The backyard is a lovely spot to relax under the aspen trees, and the updated bathroom had great water pressure and hot water. The décor has a cozy cottage-core feel we enjoyed.For us, comfort was a challenge, and we decided to leave a day early. The main living area windows didn’t open, and while we knew there was no A/C, the lack of airflow made it feel very dry and stuffy. We both woke up congested each morning, even after adding a humidifier and fan. The bed was also quite squeaky and sagged toward the middle, so we didn’t sleep as well as we’d hoped.A few small items could use attention—a cracked window, a loose towel ring, and limited supplies (only 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for a four-night stay, no soap or body wash). The cottage is directly behind the main house, and there’s a camera in the backyard, which may impact privacy depending on whether the owner is present. We also weren’t able to get the Wi-Fi to connect.Overall, the location and style are lovely, but some airflow and bedding updates could make this an even more comfortable stay.

This is an charming incredible cottage with 20 aspen in the backyard and birds, hummingbirds and pollinators flitting everywhere. The short walk into town and access to mountain biking trails and the town bus system during ski season are wonderful. Leslie was extremely responsive. We are grateful to have stayed in Gothic Cabin. Lovely cottage in a great location. Easy walking distance to everything in town. Perfect size for two people with everything you need and a fantastic outdoor space. Kitchen is small but has everything you need to make a few meals - and the mini fridge is surprisingly large! Hosts are incredibly friendly to chat with if they happen to be around when you’re there. We really enjoyed our stay in the little cottage. The location was terrific, quiet but convenient to Elk Ave. The linens and bedding were high quality, and the tiny kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. It was nice to have the shared backyard to relax in and enjoy the birds. Very friendly owner too!

Perfect Little Cabin

This little cabin had it all for this solo, artistic, hike loving traveler. I stayed here five nights while in town to hike and sell art at a weekend art show. I had everything I needed in the home plus a quick walk to all the action in town! I even left my van at the house and hit Green Lake trail one morning. I could walk to the trailhead! I would definitely stay here again. Everything was clean and tidy and no detail left out. One of my favorite places I've stayed at in awhile.

The cottage was great, felt like home with lots of character. I had everything I needed and the owner was friendly and available. Really easy to get to the shuttle to take you up to the slopes. Really happy I was able to stay at this cottage and it was an extra plus to have great water pressure in the shower !

It is a cute old cottage. The yard is very nice. It seems the main house is under construction but nobody was there. It is very nice being in walking distance from downtown crested butte. I felt for the price the cottage should have been cleaner. There was hair from others, dust and cobwebs. I would stay again if cottage was cleaned more meticulously.

Cozy cottage

The size of the cottage was as described and adequate except for the kitchen which was really too small if you wanted to do any cooking at all. The owner was responsive. But needs to be more diligent about maintenance (ie making sure lighting is adequate and maintained). Also a notebook in the cottage with more explicit instructions about trash, etc would be helpful. Overall comfortable and convenient

We stayed here to take advantage of the nearby hiking and it did not disappoint. A few days we even walked to trailheads that start in-town (lower loop & green lake). Walked about 40 miles total while we were there.

Miner’s Delight

The Gothic Miners cabin had everything I needed! The bed was comfy, location is excellent - walking distance to farmers market, shops and restaurants. The kitchen has everything I needed. I highly recommend this cozy cabin and I plan on returning next time I visit CB!

Cute and Convenient Tiny House

We thoroughly enjoyed our few days in this cute little house in the owner's backyard. We mostly ate meals on the trail or in town, but we still took advantage of the kitchen space and table. We walked the few blocks to shops and places to eat, including Butte Bagels. (Go early, take your coffee, and your good nature to wait for your tasty treat! We also highly recommend The Secret Stash for outstanding pizza!) We also walked just a few blocks to the Upper and Lower Loop hiking trail. The off-the-street parking leads to a side gate and back to shady outdoor seating right outside the tiny house. We passed the owners a few times; they tipped us off to the farmer's market, again, just blocks away.

Owners Leslie and Mark live in Boulder, Colorado, and we spend as much time as possible in our favorite mountain town of Crested Butte! We are long-time property owners in the town of Crested Butte, and we are available to answer all of your questions.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

From Boulder, there are many mountain resort towns just a two-hour drive away. Yet, we choose to make the five hour drive to Crested Butte because it is such a special place. In Crested Butte you have the Mountain Village and the Town. Like us, we think you will prefer to be in town where you can walk to shops, restaurants and trails. You do not need a car when staying in town. A free shuttle bus that runs every 15 minutes will take you to the ski mountain.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We purchased the home and cottage on Gothic Avenue in May 2018 because of its location and charm. There are 21 mature aspen trees in the yard! The guest cottage is located in the backyard of the primary residence. The primary residence is not rented out. We chose the west end of Gothic Avenue for our new home because of the quiet and convenient location --Gothic Avenue is not a through street to Gothic Road (Hwy 135), and therefore it gets very little traffic. Yet, it is just two blocks to historic Elk Avenue with all of the restaurants and shops.
