Great place

We had a great stay beach condo! The location is perfect-just a short walk to the beach, and the condo itself was clean, updated, and well-maintained. The sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable, but that's pretty typical and didn't take away from our overall experience. We especially loved the convenience of the shuttle within Shipyard —it made getting around so easy. Would definitely stay again!

Nice villa near the beach

The villa was in a nice location with lots of bike trails, close to the beach and the Caligny Center. It was nicely furnished with ample space. The master bedroom is large with 2 separate vanities but be sure to bring eyeshades because of the skylights (wonderful during the day but very bright early in the morning 😊).

Very Memorable Vacation

This condo was beautifully remodeled. Very updated and comfortable. Lots of room, well kept and very clean. We have stayed at Hilton Head every year for the last 7 years and this is one of the best accommodations we have rented. Will definitely be back!

Close to Beach

Loved the nearness to beach. Home was adequately stocked with essentials. Overall I was very happy with the unit - but it could use a deep cleaning. Several dust bunnies behind and under bed aggravated my allergies.

Comfortable unit

The unit is comfortable, and everything inside is in good condition. The only negative is the skylights in the main bedroom which is not a great "feature" for people who like a very dark bedroom for sleeping (like me).

Great vacation condo!!

This place was prefect for us! The 'Starter Kit' you get has dish soap and basics plus they had shampoo/conditioner/soaps/toilet paper/towels(two sets for four people) and that was very helpful. Lasted my husband and I and our two kids the whole week so it was perfect. One downside is I was thinking the condo was 'on the beach' and this place is 'by' the beach, you still have to walk a few minutes to get to the beach(or you could drive up the road one minute). A map of the layout of the place would be helpful in the condo to know where to find the pool/beach/etc but we were able to find them both by asking around/using google maps. The place is very clean! You're about 10/15 minutes (maximum) away from just about everything which is great. Saw alligators, crab hunting on the beach at night, dolphins... It was awesome! WiFi disconnects every time you leave the house and you have to re-sign in every time and that's kind of annoying but it works fine. I would go back to this place no problem and I would recommend it!! Perfect quaint little condo for a little vacation getaway!

Disappointed

This property, upon checking in, needed a through cleaning for which there were inadequate cleaning supplies provided. That’s how we began a two month occupancy!!

Love Beachwalk but this condo just ok

We stay at Beachwalk regularly and love the location to the beach but first time in this unit. It was clean but needs some updating. Kitchen drain looked rusted. Cabinet under sink wouldn’t close all the way and inside the cabinet looked rough. Didn’t end up cooking on Thanksgiving and glad I didn’t because there are no casserole dishes in unit. No dish cloth to wash dishes with either which is fine if you just use dishwasher but I like to hand wash sometimes. Shower head was low for my husband in shower tub. I would stay here again unless I could get a more updated unit mainly because we love Beachwalk. Mattress slept great.

Overall assessment!

The unit was very nice and roomy. It was super clean with updated appliances and furnishings. Very beachy and bright. Did find a leftover clothing item left behind by previous guest. The sliding door to the deck was not locked upon arrival and the bedroom outside door was not locked but it was on second floor so no easy access. The entry door did lock but was not very secure. The closeness to the beach was great and I walked the beach every day of our stay! Overall, no complaints about the accommodations. We were told at check in that we could possibly get in early (we had traveled from Pa so wanted to get in and settled as soon as possible). But we got no text or notification that the unit was ready. We waited around till 3:45 PM and then went over, only to find no one there and that the unit was done, probably for quite awhile, but we were not alerted. When you travel that long you just want to get there and start your vacation. Our friends who had two other condos in Shipyard were both notified and allowed in their units around 2PM. So that would have made it better.

Great place

Pros - Very close to the beach and to the pool. Lovely gated community. Lots of security monitoring the property. Gators are in all the ponds! Everything is lush and beautiful. The linens smelled nice and everything felt clean. The guest bedrooms bed is super comfortable and huge. It's a lovely place to stay. Close to shopping and food as well. You can easily walk to the beach or drive closer if you can find a spot to park. You would enjoy this place. Cons- We killed several HUGE cochroaches so they definitely need pest control to visit. The property next door had a bug man there for a flea infestation. The living room sliding glass doors lock is wore out so we did not use the patio in fear it wouldn't lock back. The toilet down stairs has a hard time flushing. The kitchen light takes 3 times of flicking the switch before it will come on. The light in the lamp in the living room gets dangerously hot. Don't forget coffee filters because they don't supply any. Even dump hotels give you filters. The stairs are narrow and steep. If you have knee troubles or a hard time with stairs, this place isn't for you.

Do NOT stay here

Other than location, I don’t get all of the great reviews of this property given your options on HHI. We have been coming here for almost 30 years and this was the worst. I woke up Sunday morning to ants covering the kitchen counters, coffee pot and walls. Called Vacasa, felt like I woke someone up, they put in a tix to maintenance. Maintenance called a couple of hours later but we needed to deal with it immediately, went and bought Raid and ant baits. They didn’t know if they could get someone to deal with it on a Sunday. Asked to move condos, never heard back from Vacasa on that request. Add in some spiders and roaches in the next couple of days. In addition to all that, once you take a look around, you see the cracks in the walls, old fixtures and toilets, cracked stove and fireplaces. The dishwasher didn’t clean, we ended up handwashing all week. Overall the biggest disappointment, though we were able to control the ants for the week. Someone please give this property some much needed attention!

Overall great rental for a small family

The check in process was super easy, 5 min walk to the beach, 2 min walk to the pool. We spotted a few gators by the golf club which was really cool. Great location to shops, restaurants, water activities etc! Well stocked for cooking and eating. The only downside was a few roaches in the kitchen, obvious water damage to kitchen floor, some stains on comforters...overall could have been cleaner and needs some upgrades. Missed having a grill also.
