Wonderful location

The unit was clean and functional. The location was amazing, literally right on the beach. I will be staying here again. Communications with Paula the hist were immediately responded too.

Fantastic location

Wonderful stay in a great location. The size and setup of the cottage was perfect. The interior is a bit outdated and there were a few things that need upkeep like peeling ceiling paint and the screen door slider did not work well. Otherwise was very comfortable and loved being right on the beach and water.

Right on the water

This was our 3rd time staying there. It's not fancy but it is quiet and comfortable. It is right on the water with extraordinary views of the bay and the sun setting over Provincetown.

It's all about the water!

We had a wonderful stay here at Paula's! It's right on the water, which is truly unbeatable. The condo itself is clean and comfortable, and the AC works great. We spent the whole week sitting outside on the beautiful new deck, enjoying the water and soaking it all in. We really appreciate the place being dog friendly and physically accessible. Paula is a great host and was very responsive to our questions. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful & convenient location

Beautiful, clean place right on the bay. Spacious enough for 4 adults. Convenient 10 min drive to downtown Ptown or you can walk right outside and wait for $2 bus into town. The place had almost everything you need as long as you bring sheets and towels. In our case there was no toilet paper. I would suggest contacting property before arrival as the entry code was different than provided by Vrbo. Thankfully she was very responsive.

Truro Shore Road

We had a great time at the Truro property. The deck is divine and it was lovely to be able to see the sun rise and set right from where we were. The accommodations were comfortable. There were two small issues: 1. There was no toilet paper except a small bit on the roll in the bathroom. 2. When we arrived at 3 pm, we were unable to check in because the cleaners were still working. As I said, they are small issues. However, since we were only there one night, they presented an inconvenience. Had we been there longer, I wouldn't have even remarked. Truro, in our opinion, is the best place on earth.

Expected better

While we weren’t expecting a fantastic beach side stay, the accommodations fell short of even an OK abode. The location is great. Right along 6A in North Truro. The building can’t be any closer to the water! The first sign of lack luster care was the front door. The screen was ripped from its frame and there was a hole in the front door. The door was difficult to open and not just because of the high humidity. The place looked clean at first glance, including the bathroom, bedroom and hallway, however there was sand on the floor and the floor needed to be washed, not just swept. We like to cook while we travel. However, the kitchen surfaces were clean but the dishes, pots, utensils, and silverware were greasy and needed to be washed. We decided to go out for dinner instead of dealing with having to clean everything. The contents of the drawer with the measuring cups and spoons was just plain disgusting. The deck looked fantastic, but the unit next door that shares the deck had two dogs that felt the entire deck was theirs. Needless to say we weren’t able to use the deck without the dogs. I hope they were able to enjoy the view.

North truro beach house

We have been coming to North Truro for many years and LOVE the area. The accommodations were not as we expected, the cleanliness was disappointing. There was mold on the shower curtain and on the curtains to back porch. There was also hair in the shower drain upon arrival that was from a previous guest.The sliding door also became jammed and stopped working while there, the owner did quickly respond about reaching out to her maintenance person, but it remained unfixed for the remainder of our stay (4 more days). So to access the beach and deck we had to walk around front of house, and across neighbors side of porch to use deck and grill. As a family traveling with toddlers, the access to the grill, deck and beach was really important to us. It became very inconvenient to carry all our things through the front and then around side of house, especially food to grill. We would then have to walk back around for our meals, and we felt bad walking across the neighbors side of deck repeatedly, although we were told it is a shared deck. There was minimal cleaning supplies in the house, an old broom and dustpan in the closet with a few other cleaning products, but it very much needed a vacuum. We were there for 7 nights and the broom was very ineffective at cleaning up all the sand, a vacuum would have been very helpful. Overall, we love North truro but will be returning to this location. The place has so much potential, but needs to be better maintained.

STAY AWAY

We stayed there for one night, just to shower and sleep while visiting Provincetown. HORRIBLE experience with this host and unit. To start, the unit itself is small, dingy, dirty, and old. There were multiple insects that we had to clear. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable, and reclined backwards so that when you are sleeping you are partially upside down. Not to mention - for the exorbitant cost of staying here, you have to bring YOUR OWN bedsheets, linens, towels, soap, shampoo, etc. You still have to drive if you want to get to Provincetown proper. The one saving grace was being right on the water with access to the sand and beach. But BEWARE; that's not even the worst part. About a week after our stay, I got an email from Vrbo stating the host was charging me $500 for "backing up the septic". I contacted the host at Vrbo's recommendation to request some sort of explanation or apology given that we literally stayed there one night to simply sleep and use a shower, and she hung up on me twice then did not answer any of my calls further. Vrbo is now refunding me the money, but PAULA IS A SCAMMER. Please STAY AWAY from renting from her as she has crooked and shamelessly fraudulent rental practices. I have asked Vrbo to penalize her as well for attempting such a scam. I don't often write reviews but when I feel like myself and likely others are being taken advantage of, I need to let the public know. PLEASE beware and look elsewhere.

Lovely beach location. Just a few minutes from Provincetown. Adequate space. Kitchen is well equipped. However, the apartment has not been kept up. The furniture and furnishings look tired. The bed was sloping. The floor was chipped in places. We had to take our own sheets and towels. The toilet needed adjusting a few times to flush. Well equipped but not in the best shape. Needs upgrading.

Great Location

This property was mostly as described. There was no access to a washer/dryer for guests. When they say bring your own linens , they really mean it. There were not kitchen cloths for dish drying or wiping down tables. The location is fantastic. Right on the beach. The neighbors are so friendly and after 2 weeks, it felt so comfortable.

Cape Cod rental on the beach

Location, location, location! We wanted something right on the beach and we couldn"t have gotten any closer to the water. Clean but dated and no towels or sheets but that was disclosed ahead of time. Kitchen equipped with all amenities and tv and AC worked fine. Best was the deck over the quiet beach, with table. umbrella. and comfy chairs, to just sit and watch the waves come in. Owner/renter was congenial in all communications and lockbox check in was fine. Nothing fancy, but we had a nice stay!

Great view, property in need of a refresh

Pros: Great view off the balcony! This is really what you're paying for with this rental. There is nothing but beach between you and the ocean. Check-in process is very smooth and we had no difficulty. Cons: The unit itself needs a lot of love. Lots of little things are in disrepair. None of this impacts the safety or cleanliness of the unit, but definitely take away from the overall experience. For example, one of the bedside lamps didn't seem to work, many of the light switches are cracked, some of the shelves in the fridge are broken (makes it hard to keep wine bottles upright in the door), and the furniture is relatively low quality. Also just an FYI, the balcony is shared with the people next door. Overall, I'd recommend this place only if you place a high value on having an oceanfront location.

I chose this property because I have always wanted a summer get-a-away on the beach. This property is just that. The condo is located on the beach just steps off the deck......My happy place is to watch the water, relaxing, sitting on the deck.

This condo is across the bay from Provincetown. You can take a shuttle from across the street to Provincetown and back at the end of the day.
The following is included in your stay: beach chairs, crock pot, food storage containers, Ninja blender for cocktails, laundry detergent and fabric softener (washer & dryer located in building, not in unit), paper towels, sponges, sugar, coffee, tea, tea kettle, basic spices, sponges, dish washing detergent and an outdoor gas grill with an extra gas tank.
