Esta es una hermosa cabaña de montaña a dos cuadras del magnífico Lago Almanor. La casa tiene tres dormitorios, tres baños completos y un gran loft. Remodelada habitación familiar y master suite en 2018. Grandes terrazas rodean los pisos superiores. Un gran hogar para familias con una caminata fácil a las áreas de recreación y playa. Spacious lake cabin

Our family enjoyed our stay at this cabin and would love to come back. The home is very nicely updated and has lots of comfortable areas for relaxing and visiting. Each level is like a private suite! Owners are very nice and easy to work with.

60th Anniversary Celebration

Very comfortable and just down the street from our Lake Almanor home. 5 of our adult grandchildren had a great place to sleep and enjoyed chilling out before coming down to our many activities. A great weekend!

Great house/great spot

Everything was as hoped. The only things that I would flag is the fee the country club charges upon entry ($150) when you check in which I saw in a comment but when I asked about was told there were no “other” fees. Second was the no sheets provided. That is a bit of a pain. Third was that it was a very long way from town for groceries and restaurants are not open all days and wide range of hours. Otherwise it was a lovely week.

Great Getaway

Very nice property in a great location for lake and CC activities. A few things to be aware of, there is a fee for the CC required to rent this property, paperwork indicates it is $120 per day. If you rent in the summer months be aware there is no central air conditioning which is not an issue on the lower level, upper level has a small move and cool unit. Mid-level has a wonderful view but the afternoon sun, even with the blinds closed, makes this level very warm, 90+ warm. Not to discourage as this is a nice property with lots of extras for an enjoyable stay, no AC just makes it difficult on the cook in the fully equipped kitchen or dealing with young or old vacationers on this level. This may be an issue depending on your situation, we headed for the lake most afternoons.

Good location!

The property is nice. It is three stories however do guest need to be mobile. It was very hot the week that we were there so the main floor, second story where the kitchen is located was very uncomfortable. The other two levels were cool. Nice furnishings, lots of kitchen items

Our two day fishing trip

We had a great time at this property. There were enough beds for all 8 of us. Three full bathrooms were great for our size group. Home was clean and comfortable. We will definitely return to this rental again.

Beautiful Home Away from Home

An absolute perfect getaway for the family. All three levels of the home included bedrooms and bathrooms which made everyone feel more comfortable with their own personal space. The ping pong and cornhole games were a plus. The gas BBQ was my favorite located just outside the slider next to the kitchen. The deck and overall scenery was fantastic. Very close to the beach and a playground for the young kids. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. Thank you for letting us share your home.

nice break from the grind...

Great indoor and outdoor space, board games, lawn games. The neighborhood is very nice, walking distance from a swimming beach with picnic area and boat launch. Grocery/restaurants not far away in Chester. Would go back. Only wish list item would be a newer, more effective dish washer - but since most properties don't have one, that wouldn't keep me from going back

Lake Almanor

The property was nice, but no air conditioning. Unfortunately it was really hot but it did cool down a bit in the evening. We really liked the outdoor balcony would recommend others to stay at this property.

Hi Tracie, Thank you for your kind review. The heat can be daunting but we only get about 10 days in the summer that are very hot, so we haven’t felt that need to install air conditioning. We may have to reconsider to make the house more comfortable for our guests. You are always welcome back! Mary

Labor Day weekend

This was a nice and peaceful place to stay with a few friends, not quite as close to Rec #2 as i thought but still walkable. The downstairs shower is awesome and I assume the others were nice also, I didn't hear any complaints from my guests. The two things that need attention are the key safe, we worked at that thing for 30 minutes each time we had to open or close it, and the refrigerator is pretty small and very dated, although it still keeps things cold, eventually. Great place for a family to relax!

This beautiful A-frame house fit our extended family needs perfectly. The 3 floors each with full baths afforded both convenience and privacy for our multi-family vacation. The house is one of the best and most attractive vacation places we’ve stayed at and we will look at booking this place again.

Great house.

Great location and house was great. Not sure about the extra charge for linens and typically included in cleaning fee. Was a very hot weekend so AC would have made the stay perfect but will definitely stay again and highly recommend!

Thank you for your kind review. I’m sorry that you experienced a “hot” weekend. We thought about installing an air conditioner but we only get about 4 weekends a year when it would be nice to have. Usually, the mountain cool evenings make the nights enjoyable. Just to let you know, the standard for rentals at Lake Almanor is for the guests to provide their own linens. We just followed the other rental company’s policies. We will review that policy and perhaps make changes in the future. We appreciate and value your feedback. We hope to see you again next year. Huge Family Reunion for my Dad's 90th Birthday Celebration

My dad turned 90 on Sunday, July 14, and our extended family gathered from far and wide to help him share his huge event. My children and I have been in on the Lake Almanor “secret” for many, many years, but have, until this weekend, always stayed with Dad and his lovely wife. Because so many relatives were here this weekend, we were not able to stay with Dad and Donna, so instead made arrangements to stay at your LOVELY home! FYI, your VRBO pictures of your home do not do it near enough justice.) Your home is truly magnificent, comfortable and spacious, with so many amenities -- games, ping pong, the telescope, washer/dryer, tables inside and out, here, there and everywhere for dining / gathering, and loaner ice chests for trips to the beach! When we arrived, my adult son kept loudly exclaiming his excitement and joy (there may have been a number of fist bumps and high fives involved, which I gladly reciprocated)! My 5 ½ year old granddaughter loved the stairs, but especially the 2nd level room with BUNK BEDS (a first for her, and yes, she laid her claim to the top bunk! Lounging on the upper and lower decks, the BEST showers ever, and so close to both Rec I and Rec II. We also loved that we were truly just around the corner from Dad and Donna, who live on Clifford Drive, and my brother Jeff, who lives on Timber Ridge. Our only “complaint” is that we were not able to spend as much time as we would have liked at your home. Because of the jam-packed weekend plans (dinner at the club Friday and Saturday night, brunch at the Club Sunday morning, and then dinner Sunday evening at Dad and Donna’s on Sunday evening), we spent most of our time away from your home, enjoying the company of Donna, the birthday boy, and multitudes of relatives .. most of whom my siblings and I had never really gotten to know (my father is an Air Force retiree, so most of our growing-up years were spent in Far East Asia, and our visits with relatives were sparse and short). We would have loved to use your barbeque, but made connections this weekend that were just incredible. There’s always a next time! Thank you! It was a magnificent four days, and we’re already planning our next-year reunion. We will most definitely be in touch, with hopes of renting your home again.

Family Stay at Lake Almanor

The VRBO house was lovely. The house was spacious and clean. It was a bit further from the beach than we anticipated and we could not see the water view as I had thought. The Lake Almanor map make the house seem like it s an easy walk to the beach when it is actually a steep hillside walk.

Great vacation at a great lake in a great cabin

My family and I booked this cabin for a weekend getaway. The owner was great at communication and all house instructions were particular, thorough and clear. There were no surprises. It is a beautiful and immaculately cared for family cabin. You can tell that the owner keeps very good care of the property and expects a renter to as well. It is ideal vacaton space for a large family or even a couple of small families. There are a leigitimate 10 beds spread over 3 stories. Great deck space on two levels with lots of outside tables and rocking chairs. It is set off the road a bit so plenty of room for kids to play on the big lawn out front. It is walking distance from a great family beach (about half a mile), but recommend driving to transport gear. I hadn't been to Lake Almanor since I was a little kid and forgot how great of a lake it is and will definitiely will be returning and would rent this cabin again.
