Magical place!

This property is awesome. Views are unbeatable - mountains, wildlife, 180 of water. We saw eagles, Canada geese, deer, seals, blue herons & more. It’s such a clean home, with comfortable, updated furnishings, laundry & stellar beds. This home is a short drive away from shopping & wonderful restaurants. We met the owner & he is so nice, friendly & accommodating. Best vacation ever!

Great stay

Clean, comfortable, well equipped, perfect view, great location, etc! Rained most days but it didn’t slow us down. Took the Bremerton ferry to Seattle, enjoyed Point Defiance, the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Snoqualmie Falls and the Museum of Flight. So much to do relatively close to Gig Harbor. Would love to come back in the summer but it was a perfect getaway in March too. Thank you for sharing your beautiful hideaway.

Picture Perfect Location

We loved our time at this Raft Island home. We spent time relaxing as we watched the sunrise and sunset and the tide coming in and out from the deck each day. The location was close to amenities and restaurants in Gig Harbor and was an easy distance to Tacoma. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip.

Beautiful and tranquil

Second time staying at this sweet Raft island place and we love it. The solitude, the vistas and the care taken in maintaining the cabin, all make us want to stay… as in not go home! Clean and well equipped, it was as we remembered from last year. Thank you Steve for making this special place available.

Family Vacation made easy

My parents visited from NY and we met up with my kids and grandkids. There was room to play and socialize. The bathrooms were a little small but that is the only downside to this house. It has a spectacular view with access to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable home. Beautiful views from the house, deck, everywhere. Ample kitchen with great appliances. Relaxing watching the sea birds, seals etc. Would stay here every time we come to Gig Harbor, so much better than a hotel! Steve checked in woth us to see if we needed anything. He was a great host. seemed like a great host.

Location Location Location

This property is right on the water, with a beach only at low tide. The view is magnificent, there are sea lions and other wildlife to see, it is quiet and peaceful. The place was truly immaculate, as well. The host was just attentive enough and the guidelines were clear and reasonable. I really can't say enough good about it and definitely plan to return. Thank you, Steve!

The Sound, The Olympic Mt. Range, The Sunset

Wow! What a great place to work and play! The views were amazing as we virtually worked on the deck throughout the day. The cabin is clean with all the necessary appliances for cooking memorable family dinners. We were lucky with the weather, however, staying inside with the picture windows made it feel as though you were still outside. Definately a great hideaway!

Even more than expected

Pictures didn't do justice...even more beautiful in person. Whether sunshine or rain, a lovely place to be. The whole house was perfect....everything was there. Enjoyed the artwork and quality of everything (pots, pans, couch, and amazing bed). Clearly owner cares about providing the best possible experience. Communication with Steve fantastic. Planning our next trip.

Don't read this - I want this place all for me!

How did we love our stay? Let me count the ways... We shared our time here with friends who are world travelers and have stayed at more than a few places. They confirmed this was THE BEST. It was stocked better than my own home - you will want for nothing in this gorgeous home with a wonderful, quiet relaxing atmosphere. Loved enjoying the view both while relaxing either cozied up inside or on the big deck, and boarding around the island and seeing all the wildlife close up. Extra bonus to be able to paddle right up to the private beach while doing a lap around the island. Just so many extra nice touches - you can't help but feel spoiled. Everything about the stay was literally picture perfect. Not only is the property first rate, but the locals are great too - so friendly. And some really great pubs, dining, and fun food stores. The one bad thing - too hard to leave! Thanks so much Steven - you're a rock star!

Beautiful stay over the holiday.

We came to Gig Harbor to visit family and we always love a view. This particular view was spectacular, the property was absolutely clean (one of my high priority criteria), and there was everything you needed. We were there for 11 nights, and I hosted my family on more than one occasion. We arrived at night and that was probably the only time we questioned anything because it was quite dark and we were quite tired. But we were triumphant, the directions were appropriate and I would recommend this property to anyone. The host Steve was absolutely delightful. Not that we had lots of contact with him but when we did it was completely professional. A few people mentioned that the bathrooms were small. But it was not a problem for us. The heating was excellent and it was quite cold.

Fantastic stay on Henderson Bay!

We absolutely loved our week stay here! From the moment we walked through the front door and saw the wall of windows, we knew we made the right choice. Stunning views! We saw wildlife throughout the week (bald eagle, blue heron, ducks, deer, raccoons, kingfisher, bats and of course a ton of seagulls). It was such a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cabin was very clean. The linens were a nice quality. The kitchen was well-equipped. The sleep number bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable, we're seriously considering buying one for ourselves! The bathrooms are pretty small, but we love having two bathrooms while on vacation. We ended up just using the tub/shower for showering because the master shower was the size of a motorhome shower, and too small for comfort. The other one was totally doable. The outside deck is huge, and partially covered, making it great for taking the dogs out to potty. We appreciated the dog potty area right off the deck. It was so easy to access for our older dogs that don't climb stairs as easily as they used to. Steve, the owner, was so easy to work with. He is very responsive, friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here in the future. Highly recommend!

Island gem

So many good things to say about this sweet waterfront cabin. We stayed for six weeks in the fall while the weather turned from warm and sunny to cold and rainy - it was gorgeous every moment. Steve obviously puts a lot of love into his place - it is well-built, cozy, cute, abundantly-supplied, and in general, extremely comfortable. Steve was very helpful and accommodating; he made sure we had what we needed and that everything worked, and he was pleasant and friendly but unobtrusive while taking care of routine maintenance issues. Grocery shops, restaurants and the cute town of Gig Harbor are just 15 minutes away. We loved coming "home" to our place on Raft Island.

Magical setting in the sound

The cabin is an amazing place anytime of year. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and felt totally at home here. The cabin is nice and clean and has everything guests need to enjoy their stay. It’s peaceful, comfortable, quiet, cozy and private. Steve is super responsive and available should you need anything. Definitely our favorite place to stay in Gig Harbor.

So peaceful and quiet!

The pictures in this listing don't do it justice - the property is better in person! This is an amazing place to stay - comfortable, picturesque, and only 12 minutes into town. You won't get tired of waking up to this ever-changing waterfront view of the sound and mountains! We even harvested oysters right off the beach in front.
