Yellow Stone family reunion

Property is very close to the Western entrance of Yellowstone and can easily get to the Old faithful area. Upper and lower falls are an easy drive away as well.

Great location

The condo was clean, comfortable, and had lots of space in the main living areas. Great to come home to after a day in Yellowstone. About a 5-min walk to downtown for dinner or ice cream in the evenings.

Yellowstone stay

Very clean and comfortable. Laundry available but not in unit and only one washer/dryer with hours of operation limits. Overall a great stay for our family of 6.

perfect for us

We were a group of seven. Grandparents, parents, and a 20 year old, 17 old, 12 year old. Everyone was in agreement that is was a wonderful experience.

Perfect West Yellowstone spot

Just as described, very nice condo in walking distance of all the downtown West Yellowstone shops and restaurants. Perfect home base for the western half attractions in Yellowstone. Kitchen supplies fairly minimal - fine for a quick breakfast but wouldn't want to cook a large meal here. Magaly who wasthere at check-in and had a wealth of information on great places to eat, where to rent bear spray, etc. Daily change of garbage and towels was a nice touch, and overall this fit our needs very well and so much nicer than being crammed in a hotel room with two college age kids along for the trip.

overall great but not as advertised

This property is very clean, in a great location and overall we were very happy. However, the VRBO listing clearly said 4 bedrooms with the 4th bedroom having a twin bed, which was perfect for our group. When we checked in we were told they do not have any 4 bedroom rentals. I pulled up the listing that showed 4 bedrooms and we were told VRBO must have made a mistake and he would let is manager know. I checked the listing before I wrote this review and it has been changed and no longer shows 4 bedrooms but it was not great for us as one adult had to sleep on the couch for 3 nights. otherwise, we were very happy with this property and the guy who checked us in was very nice and friendly.

West Yellowstone

Overall nice property and very convenient to YNP. Couple of opportunities for improvement: 1. The fire alarms are too sensitive, our neighbors tripped the alarm which resulted in a significant disturbance to us. 2. Kitchen could use a few more pots, pans, and utensils. 3. Should be dish washing soap for the dishwasher available to guests.

Great place conveniently located

We arrived after hours and had no problem finding our key and unit. The condo was very spacious and clean. We stayed for 4 days, going in and out of Yellowstone daily to cover various sights. Laundry was very convenient. Hot drinks were available at the reception area, which was appreciated, and it's only a 2 or 3 minute drive to the town center where all the restaurants are. This meant we could return home after a day of sight seeing, rest and freshen up, and step out again conveniently for dinner. You can get dinner delivered too if you like but we didn't do that on this trip. Would definitely stay again while visiting Yellowstone.

Perfect for what we needed

This is a very clean and convenient condo located very close to the west entrance of Yellowstone. We had ourselves, two elderly parents and a teenager and it worked out just great. Much better than motel rooms. The place is spotlessly clean, which is very important to my wife. There are no views, of course, or any ambience, but we were only using it to get quick meals and sleep so if your objective is to be out and around, this place is fantastic highly recommend it. There is a minor issue with intermittent road noise at night, but we turned the room fan on low and it provided enough white noise to drown that out. Just be aware of it.

Nice stay with good location

Location in West Yellowstone is excellent for access to major areas of the park. West Yellowstone is also a neat town to walk. This unit is a good size, is nice and has most basic amenities in the unit. No laundry in the unit itself, but steps away from the unit there is a laundry facility on the property. Daily towel service was a pleasant surprise! The unit itself does not have a patio, deck or outdoor area but there is an outdoor seating area in the center of the property with nice furniture and gas grill. Wish the sectional sofa had a pullout bed but there is a twin cot in the closet. Would also recommend additional security on the door to the unit as there is no deadbolt, only a locking handle.

Clean and convenient

We had a great time visiting Yellowstone and staying here over the long weekend. The place is clean and very conveniently placed with easy access to the park and restaurants. We were on an upper floor and did not have any issues with noise. Please note that although it comes with a kitchen there are some hoops to jump to actually cook in the kitchen. The property has signs up that basically tell you that you need to keep the windows and possibly door open, and that the fire alarm is easily triggered and it will automatically alert the fire department and 911. I can’t help but assume this is to prevent people from cooking more flavorful cuisines…

Nice stay

This unit has plenty of space and was very clean. It was a bit different considering it is run more like a hotel with someone coming into your unit each day to collect trash and replace towels. It did not have any staples in the kitchen like other rentals do so you have to bring your own or buy them. The property has laundry but not in the unit. None of these things presented a problem for us. It is just different than other places we have rented. However, I would stay here again and I would recommend this place for others.

Great place to stay for Yellowstone trip

Very close to the west entrance. Clean premises, and great location. Supermarket is very close and so are the local restaurants. The only con was that kitchen is not stocked Iike other rentals I have stayed at. I usually overpack but this time I didn’t and was a little disappointed. If you like or prefer cooking then make sure to get the essentials including knives (as the ones at the condo were very dull and cheap). I have to cook due to dietary restrictions so would have loved a little basic things like salt/sugar or condiments. We also did use the common area washer and dryer and never had a problem. The on site staff is great and very helpful.

Yellowstone Family Trip

My cousin asked us two years ago to take her to Yellowstone for her 15th birthday. We had plenty of time to plan this vacation and scored this condo. While we were surprised one of the beds was a roll away bed in the closet, it worked perfectly! My parents and my husband and I each had our own room upstairs. My brother shared a room with my cousins. The two kids shared one bed and my brother had his own. My mother-in-law took the roll away bed downstairs and said it was comfy! Check in was very easy which I was grateful for after a long drive from Arizona all in the same day! The drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone was not far at all!!! My cousins and I ended up walking to the shops in West Yellowstone, MT while everyone else was getting ready. The weather was great and we got some fun photos with the buffalo statue along the way!

Unhappy customers!

This property is located at the West Yellowstone gate. Yellowstone National Park experienced historic 500-year flooding natural disaster on June 12 and closed all gates on June 13. Our stay was planned for 6/19-20 but the park remained closed until later that week using an odd/even license plate entry system. We cancelled due to the uncertainty of visiting Yellowstone. However, the owner refused to refund any portion of our stay or provide us credit. VRBO management also refused to intervene. We are very unhappy with the owner and VRBO's non-guaranty!

Great location to Yellowstone

We liked this location because it was close to Yellowstone west side entrance. We wish we had known that there were stairs up to the second level for our condo and then another flight of stairs up to all of the bedrooms. Despite all the stairs, this place was still very well kept and clean with all the amenities we needed at the time. Portable air conditioning was provided in each of the bed rooms, which was needed as it was hot during our stay. The property had laundry facilities available outside of the unit, which was nice. Needed better cooking pans and more of them. The stove burners were not even so it made it hard to cook food properly. The utensils had a weird smell and taste when eating. No ice machine in unit but had a community ice machine to fill coolers. We probably would have picked a different place had we known about all the stairs, no central AC and laundry in the unit due to the all day hiking walking we did during the day.

Review

The property was fine. I would have made my trip shorter with the closing of the park. I had no flexibility to cancel. I did have the insurance but did not cover this situation. Need more flexibilty in the reservation. If this happened 2 or 3 weeks ago, the 30 day limit would not have helped. Need to have more flexibility.
