The house was so well appointed! The spaces were wonderful, kids downstairs with games, mom and teen in the loft with puzzles, main living room perfect for movie nights!

Winter getaway

My stepson and friend and I have met at this cabin for the last couple of winters for an ice fishing trip. This place is great! Clean and spacious and in a great location. It’s our favorite weekend every year!

Perfect Getaway

My friend, my stepson and myself have an annual ice fishing trip tradition and it’s one of the highlights of our winters. This property was perfect! It was clean, spacious, has a great game room and a everything you need for a great vacation. We loved staying here and hope to be back next year!

A whole other world

We loved our stay at Rustic Retreat and we didn’t want to leave. We had deer join us for breakfast and dinner each day. Our kids just sort of lived among them during our stay. It was amazing! The cabin was beautiful, clean and roomy. Perfect for two families with kids. The property manager was so helpful and friendly before, during and after our stay. We can’t wait to return!

Breath taking views!

The location is absolutely beautiful! It's a few steps away from the lake, and the lake is visible from the living room windows. The deer were out every morning just passing by right in front of the cabin. The cabin itself was immaculate, a spacious layout, great kitchen, dining, living room layout for gathering. Beautiful trees, a great fire pit, and overall it's definitely a cabin to rent again !!

Everything and More!!!

Clean and welcoming cabin! Cabin has all essentials with utensils and everything you need for a great stay! Property owners are very reaponsive and helpful. The game room was awesome and all the rooms have televisions. The yard is awesome for outdoor games. We spent a lot of time feeding the deer and sitting around the fire pit. Cabin is spacious where you can either sit together or separate. Talked to the neighbors and they were friendly. All in all wouldnt ask for anything more. Thanks!!

Memorable stay at the Rustic Retreat

Our family really enjoyed staying at the Rustic Retreat cabin. The layout of this cabin is perfect for families. Our kids had a hard time deciding which bedroom they wanted, however they spent most of their time in the basement game room. All of the instructions found throughout the cabin were very informative while having a welcoming tone. So many VRBO places we’ve stayed start their instructions out with “don’t do this” or “don’t do that” which give you a walking on eggshells feeling. Not here! The large parking lot made navigating and parking our snowmobile trailer a breeze. Thank you so much for a wonderful time and we’ll surely be back.

Beautiful house, exceptionally clean

My group of 6 adults stayed at this property for our annual trip to Eagle River for Cranberry Fest. This was our first time staying at this house and it couldn't have been any more perfect for us. We were greeted by many beautiful deer (who visited us many times throughout our stay, and even supervised me as I was grilling dinner on Saturday night!). Upon entering the house we noticed how incredibly clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated it was. The beds were very comfortable and we all had great nights' sleep. Having a TV in each room was a plus, especially for those of us who stay up later than others. The upstairs seating area was the perfect place to relax or to read a book. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for our weekend, and what we didn't have we were able to buy at the grocery store in town. Having the second refrigerator was a bonus, as was the speakers/sound system in the kitchen - we enjoyed the music while we played games, prepared food or just spent time together. The fireplace was beautiful and added just enough heat to take the fall chill out of the air. We had a great time downstairs, playing pool and foosball. We used the gas grill and it worked great (and was clean!). Although Mother Nature didn't allow us to enjoy the rocking chairs on the porch or the firepit, we would have if the weather cooperated - both areas were large and had plenty of seating. Exactly as pictured (but more beautiful in person) - we will definitely be back!

Girls' Getaway

We had the best time during our stay. The home was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We were surrounded by deer as we sat around the campfire at night. The lake is beautiful! Great accommodation and great spot.

Incredible place

We loved this beautiful log home! Spacious and clean. The kitchen is amazing, has everything you need for cooking and baking. Enjoyed playing pool and foosball in basement. The front porch is amazing place to hang out with great view of lake, deer visit several times a day. The piers have benches to enjoy coffee and sunrise. We will be back.

Great Up North Retreat

The property is out of the way enough to be quiet, but close enough to civilization to not feel isolated. The furnishings are comfortable and well maintained. The game room in the basement and reading area in the loft are fantastic features.

This property was outstanding. From communication with the property manager, to our check-in process we couldn’t have been more pleased. The home had every amenity we needed, and we even took advantage of the beautiful kitchen to make Christmas cookies! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The perfect vacation house for our family!

This property was perfect for us. The location, communication with the owner and manager, instructions on the house (where to find things, what to do before leaving, how to find it, where to park, etc), plenty of space, great fireplace, cleanliness, and it was well stocked! We couldn’t have been happier with this house. We had never been to this area and had lots of questions. The owners were very responsive and put up with all of our questions and gave us suggestions. All of these things contributed to this being the best house we have stayed in on vrbo! Thank you!

Wonderful Experience

The Rustic Retreat has a lot to offer for all ages. We arrived late October to the neighborhood deer family welcoming my family. The cabin was roomy for 11 of us. It was rustic, relaxing, and the kids had plenty of room to run outside. The game room downstairs was fun for all. The surrounding area is also great for dining and shopping. We had a great time during fall. How fun could this be during the summer also.
