CABINA MÁXIMA: dos cabañas privadas ubicadas en terrenos agrícolas / ranchos y a solo 3 1/2 millas de Round Top Square. Rodeado de pastos y cuernos de pastoreo con hermoso estanque. Ambas cabañas renovadas en 2018 y tienen cocinas completas, cafetera + café local Two Sparrows. La cabina Max ofrece tres dormitorios, dos baños completos, sofá cama, lavadora y secadora estándar, plancha y tabla de planchar. ¡Dos cubiertas cubiertas de buen tamaño, una con ducha privada al aire libre para esas noches cálidas duchándose bajo las estrellas es increíble! Los huéspedes cuentan con acogedoras batas de baño, ropa de cama exuberante y toallas de baño, champú, acondicionador y gel de baño junto con dos secadores de pelo. Wi-Fi complementario y gran televisor de pantalla plana en la sala de estar. ¡Todo lo que necesitas es tu cepillo de dientes!

Best Little Cabin for Antique Week

This was the absolute perfect weekend for me and my daughters! The cabin was so cute, the accommodations were excellent, and the location was perfect. Dawn was responsive and so kind. I highly recommend this charming little spot for any occasion or just for a relaxing weekend. You won’t regret it!

Lovely get away in Round Top, Texas

Cute inside. Very stylish and roomy. Nice arrangement. Will try to come back someday. Close to town but not in the middle so didn't have to deal with noise or crowds.

Close Proximity to Round Top Wedding Venue

Super cute - very comfortable, tranquil accommodations in country. Petting the resident Long Horns was a memorable experience. Cabin was expertly decorated and well appointed with all the needs of home. Super comfortable beds made for well rested sleeping! Would love to return one day and check out the other two listings of Black Dog cabins. Highly recommend!!

Antique Week Girl's Trip

We were a group of 5 friends from 3 states coming to RoundTop for Antique Week, & couldn't have had a better time! We loved having coffee on the front porch watching the momma cows nurse their calfs & happy hour on the back porch in the cool breeze. The beds were so comfortable, & Dawn had thought of every amenity to make our trip enjoyable- right down to snacks & a bottle of Rose! This is the perfect location to RoundTop- close but away from the hustle & bustle of town. We all left wanting to come back & bring our husbands- thanks so much, Dawn!

Girls Trip Christmas Weekend

Loved the country setting for our girls weekend. Perfect location for our stay in the cutest cottage! Loved the firepit and the front and back porches. One downfall was that the tv had nothing to watch, you have to sign in to your own accounts to watch anything. So, we did without a television. Otherwise, everything was great and we enjoyed our three nights stay immensely. Thanks Dawn for sharing your property!!

This is our second time at Black Dog Cabin. It is always clean and easily accessible. The location is close to town but far enough for quiet.

Peaceful with great location!

We loved the location of the property to Roundtop. It was just far out of town and very peaceful. The house was the perfect size for us and had comfortable furnishings! Would definitely go back!

Wonderful Stay

I am local to the area and invited my best girlfriends to come out to Round Top for the weekend. This house exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed eating in town and returned to the house to unwind and relax. The property has beautiful views of the countryside and the house was decorated super cute! Plus the beds are so comfy you won’t want to leave. We will definitely be back again! Thank y’all for making our stay so sweet.

Perfect escape from home

Everything about this property was just what we needed for our getaway from the city. The location provided us with the peace of the country yet was only a few short miles away from great restaurants and shopping. The cabin's decor of antiques and country chic was just you would hope to see in Round Top. Dawn truly made us feel like special guests - thick robes, snacks, and great coffee. After relaxing on the patio, enjoying the evening sky, it was easy to get a great night's sleep in the super comfy beds. We are looking forward to booking our next escape!

The cabin was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The owners have really thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Great location, only five minutes from downtown Round Top, plus long horn cattle in the back yard! We hope to return soon!

Wonderful birthday weekend get-away

Max cabin was the perfect location for a girls get-away weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday. We chose it for the location (roughly midway between Houston, Austin, San Antonio) and loved it for all the homey decorating touches and oh-so-comfy beds. We enjoyed roaming the property and feeding the longhorns -- the calves were a hoot! In fact, the place was so comfortable and we spent so much time catching up with each other, that it was difficult to get folks to leave the cabin. We only visited Round Top one day, so we will need to come back to explore the area some more!

Really an outstanding property!

When we need to get out of town for our pandemic mental health, Round Top is a go to place for us. Well, we needed it this weekend and fortunately, the Max Cabin at Black Dog Cabins was available so we booked it at the last minute. What a lucky and fantastic choice! The location was great -- only 3 miles from Round Top. The decor of the cabin was just gorgeous and there were so many beautiful and interesting things to look at. But the beds. Oh, the beds. These were the most comfortable beds we think we've ever slept in at any sort of rental property -- and we've stayed at a lot of them, around the world. The cabin also was nicely stocked with dishes, thick towels, plenty of paper products and was spotlessly clean. The back porch was a wonderful place to sit in the evening. (I only wish I had been able to try the outdoor shower!) There was a large, wall mounted TV equipped with Roku that made watching a movie after dinner simple. Did I mention the beds? As we pulled out of the drive this morning, we started planning when we could come back. Just to sit. To relax. To just... be. Thank you, Black Dog Cabins. We'll definitely be back.

Great experience, adorable decor, quality amenities w/ Nice touches like baked goods and fresh flowers., timely communication w/owner. Was perfect location for our girls trip & Rountop shopping. The only recommendation I have would be to provide a toaster. Would definitely stay again.

Dawn & Richard spend their time between Houston and Round Top. We purchased this property as a get away from busy city life and work. We fell in love with the area and spend as much time as possible here in Round Top. We love raising Longhorns and look forward to the arrival of new calves every year. Our first cabin, Molly was very old house that was brought in from the Heights in Houston. It was in very poor condition but we love a challenge and decided to bring it back to life. We then took on our second cabin and decided to name it after our Black Lab, Max. Our third and last cabin, Zoe is a vintage 5th wheel Airstream that once belonged to Jim Goode from Houston. We choose to name the property Black Dog Cabins after our two black rescued dogs and since we have adopted a third dog name Oscar. He is a chocolate lab that you might see riding in the side by side or taking a swim in the pond.
