We had a wonderful stay in this condo. It was easily accessible, in the perfect location, very clean, super comfortable, and our host was great! This unit is on the beach and I loved that it isn't part of a super highrise condo complex. We NEVER had to wait more than a minute or two for an elevator! This will definitely be our first choice of places to stay again!

This condo was perfect for my parents, 4 kids and me. The kids loved how close it was to the beach and they loved that there was a pool they could go to. Everyone enjoyed the balcony looking out over the beach

Great Location, Great Place to Stay!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Island sunrise. The unit we stayed in was very clean and very neat. It is so easy to access the beach. One of the unexpected amenities was the pod style coffee maker. Did not expect to see that, even though we did bring our own pods.The only thing I would recommend would be for the owner to upgrade the mattress in the main bedroom. He left a lot to be desired from a comfort standpoint.Other than that, we had a wonderful day and would certainly go back and do it again.

Unit was not ready

When we arrived a few minutes after our 3:00 check-in time, the condo had not been cleaned. The dirty linens were lying in the floor, dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, bathrooms dirty, etc. After several calls and messages to the owner, we finally received a call back. She contacted housekeepers and said they should be there by 5:00. We had already picked up groceries but could not use the condo. This also meant that we could not enjoy the beach as we had planned. Housekeepers arrived and did a "basic" job of cleaning. The second bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned at all -- towels were replaced and beds made. I actually cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms myself. The dishes were left in the dishwasher and we had to start it. Owner apologized but did not offer to compensate us for the lost time. The location is great but we would not book this unit again.

Good experience

The place was clean and had an amazing view of the ocean. Pool was nice as well but they shocked it one of the days there so we couldn’t use it. Access to the beach was quick and easy. Only 1 elevator and it was slow was the only downside.

Best trip ever

Everything was perfect about this condo! From location, amenities, cleanliness, everything was updated and modern and we had absolutely everything we could need! ONLY issue was cable in the guest room didn’t work but we weren’t in the room enough to care to call the cable company so it wasn’t a big deal for us. Myra was amazing for any and all questions we had. We will definitely be back! Thanks for allowing us your gorgeous piece of heaven for the week!

Perfect Getaway!

We loved our stay here! Perfect location close enough to walk to all the restaurants and shops but with enough distance that the beach did feel packed and we were always able to get a nice set up! Would definitely book here again

Gulf Shores Getaway

Directions and check-in/check-out were clear and stress-free. The property was clean, cute, and provided all we needed for our family. We had easy access to the beach and pool and a great ocean view. Beaches were beautiful and there were lots of places to visit, eat, and shop.

Condo was nice, just a few things that wasn’t available. Lightbulbs in the living room were not working. Other than that I will definitely be planning on staying here again next year.

Location was perfect

The location of condo and being beachfront was ideal. You can open the door and hear waves your entire stay. Overall the property was as listed and we had a great time. The only suggestion would be an update to the bathtubs as they seem to be only thing not renovated over time in the property. Again, the location was fantastic property was as listed. We had a great family vacation.

BEWARE! Reviews are not always what they seem!!

Upon arrival we opened the balcony door (no lock on door) only to find the railing to be wrapped in blue plastic, ropes and cables hanging down leading to scaffolding. The owner failed to disclose that building maintenance (prepping the building to be painted/painting) was ongoing. When we called to ask her about it she became defensive and said “I cannot keep up with everything that goes on down there; what do you want me to do? Come down there and make them stop”? She said we should’ve done our research before driving all the way down there. We did do our research. There were several other condos that said “ongoing renovations”. We avoided those condos for that reason. Once again she FAILED to disclose that the building was being prepped for painting etc. Also, the front door would barely latch and that was a safety concern for us. She then said there is no crime here, this is Gulf Shores not Nashville (we are from the Nashville area). We were unable to sit on the balcony in peace as there was scaffolding, ropes and cables hanging in front of our balcony the entire time. Along with paint chips, dust and small pieces of debris falling constantly. At times workers were looking right at us, and at one point jumped on the balcony with us. We were awoken by the workers pounding on the building and the sounds of their power tools every morning right outside our window. Additionally, the condo could’ve been cleaner, we were unable to use the master shower due to the filthy tub and shower curtain. There were hairs everywhere on the floors. Bottom line is we picked this condo because it had excellent reviews. I’m not sure how she achieved that. She had the worst attitude she did not care one bit about what was happening and she basically told me so. When I told her I was unhappy with the rental she just said “okay”. She was so rude, patronizing, unprofessional and hateful. She offered no alternatives or resolution (other than to chill that we had beautiful weather). I text her when we left the condo as instructed. She didn’t even have the common courtesy to say thank you. This is our fifth year coming to Gulf Shores and we have never had an experience like this! I would absolutely NOT recommend this condo largely due to the owner. It was a horrible experience and our entire trip was ruined!

The view!

This rental has everything you want for a stay at Gulf Shores! My family and I spent our indoor time on the balcony looking out at the tides, watching the boats. It's a few short steps to the beach and right on the main road with all the restaurants and attractions you would want. I'd definitely come back again!

Mrs. Myra was so easy to work and communicate with. Had an issue with the dryer when got there and she was on the ball getting it fixed and even offered to pick up wet clothes and take them to her house and dry them! Location close to everything we needed.

Fun in the Sun

Property and condo were smaller than expected but ended up being a plus because the beach was not as crowded as larger properties. Condo wasn’t cleaned when we got there but property manager rectified very quickly with cleaning crew cleaning and disinfecting very well. Condo had all amenities needed and great view. The property had a very friendly family oriented clientele. Everything you need is not far from condo including kids entertainment, food and restaurants. Would book again.

Island Sunrise is located in the Heart of Gulf Shores on East Beach. It is located pretty much equal distant to the Hangout and the State Pier. You can't beat the location. Recently undated and super clean. Sleeps 6 in comfortable beds.
