Bahia is a beautiful complex. The Condo was perfect with plenty of room and it is beautifully decorated! Highly recommend!

Perfect Baytown Wharf Condo

This condo was wonderful, great location, clean and very comfortable. I wish we had booked another day. The overall resort property was beautiful and the tram ride to the beach was very easy. I'm saving this property for future trips!

Bahia Blast!

My family and I had a blast at the Bahia condo!!! Super convenient location on the 1st floor. We loved the easy access to the pool and the easy access from parking garage to our room. We always vacation at Baytownewharf. All the activities, great food and family friendliness make Baytownewharf a win every time!!!

Great location

The home is on the same floor as the front door and pool, which was very convenient. We considered the bay view a plus, we liked the privacy and watching wildlife off our balcony in the morning. It is literally steps to the entertainment district (Baytowne Wharf).

Great place!

Great location. Easy access to the pool and walking distance to Baytowne Warf. The beds were super soft. I was weary from reading other reviews about the beds but the owners have definitely remedied those complaints. The balcony has the most peaceful view of the bay and beautiful sunsets. My family of 4 had a wonderful week!

Great vacay

We enjoyed this property a lot! At first we were trying understand where to go to get into underground parking garage. It was a great location near pool and hot tub! The surrounding property was very clean. Well stocked with towels. I suggest blankets if you want. The bedding is very thin.

Needs a serious deep clean

This condo is really dated and was not cleaned upon arrival. The master bedroom headboard is really nasty. Lamp shade were broken in all rooms. The master bedroom light would randomly come on in the middle of the night. The sheets were stained and covered in hair. Had to purchase new sheets, bedding and coffee maker. Cob webs on ceiling fans and vents. Location was good to pool

Beautiful community with great amenities!

The grounds and community for this property is absolutely beautiful and extremely well maintained. There are too many great amenities to the property to include, from several swimming pools, tennis courts, walking trails, shopping areas, eateries, entertainment for kids, golf… It is a gorgeous setting with lots to do without leaving the gates. It is set just far enough away from the congestion and chaos of Destin to be peaceful, but close enough to allow you access to all of the activities and offerings of that area. You will have to drive to the beach, however it is very close. The condo unit itself was very clean upon our arrival, with sufficient space for a small family getaway. The kitchen is fairly well stocked with the basics you would need. The beds are hard and the pillows are flat, neither are very comfortable. But overall, it is a really nice place to stay and we will be back to the same area each year!

The pictures are accurate for the condo. Did not have to interact much with the owners or management company because there was no need. The advertisement indicates a double sofa sleeper but there is no pull out bed on the couch. We had to put the cushions on the ground for our kids, maybe they are thinking two people can sleep on the couch but we opted for the floor with small kids. The bedroom mattresses are dream makers and are making me question the current mattress in my house. The fridge is full size with an ice maker and the room location offers quick access to the trash dump bin and ice maker. Literally 100 feet from the pool. I would recommend the room to a friend.

Extremely disappointed

We have been coming to destin for over 15 years and were so excited to stay at Baytown wharf. The grounds and pool were beautiful and at first glance our condo was nice. Once we got settled we noticed how filthy the condo was. The soap dish was duct taped in the first bathroom and we were unable to use the shower for 24 hours, inches of dust covered every vent, the headboard was so beat up, floor was ripped up, shelving was broken in the closet and dirt everywhere. We have contacted vacasa and haven't heard back yet. We never complain and love all of the condos we have ever stayed in. If we weren't just staying two nights I would have canceled this condo, demanded our money back and found a new place. Hopefully no one else has to experience this!

Too bad about the hard beds and flat hard pillows

Beautiful location with great views and easy access to everything. Unfortunately, for our family we were using this space for sleeping more than sitting around inside and admiring the view. The beds and pillows were so hard and uncomfortable that our teenage kids gave up the bed and shared the couch in the livingroom. My husband and I got very little sleep due to not being able to get comfortable and when we did finally fall asleep the overhead bedroom light would randomly come on. We take A LOT of vacations and the beds we experienced were definitely in the top 2 worst we have ever slept on. Other than that check in was easy, parking was fine, traffic wasn't terrible. But paying over $1,000 for two nights and dealing with those beds is not something we will ever plan on doing again.

Baytown Whatf

It was a lovely community with The amenities of golf, Pickleball, Tennis, walking trails/biking trails, shopping, dining, and fishing. We had a two bedroom/2 bedroom condo. We did have a major issue from the very beginning with German Cockroaches. We notified Vacasa and they sent someone over to spray later that day. The issue did not resolve itself, so we left early. The company did help us locate a place to stay in an another area after this issue. They gave us the offer to go home and come back another time and use our unused days or give us our fees back and place us in elsewhere. I was glad to get the fees back, but I really felt we should’ve been offered more for the days we stayed there because it was so infested. It was a very unpleasant feeling and we had the fear of taking them back home with us in our luggage. It did ruin the vacation that we so looked forward to this year. We spent 2 day talking back-and-forth with Vacasa, packing up and moving, having the place sprayed with chemicals knowing our things were in the condo and breathing the chemicals, throwing all of our food away, and being there and dealing with the situation. It was so disgusting. Before they would give the fees back Vacasa wanted pictures which we provided.I understand that things can happen, but I’ve never had this experience and it did ruin the vacation. The balcony was also in dire need of cleaning. I also killed the same type of roaches the hallway of the building. After going home I left my suitcase outside for fear of bringing in in the remains of the trip.

Condo was great just wasn’t clean

Great location. Nice size condo. Just wasn’t clean & a few of the appliances was not working. Toilet in both bathrooms had rings in the bowl. Top of the refrigerator had a inch of dust on it. Vents threw out the condo had dust build up. You would have to reset the microwave every time you wanted to use it and enter the time and date in it before it would work. Toaster would not work you had to hold down the button to get the toaster to toast. The cleanliness of the condo lacked attention to detail for the new tenant coming in. I shared pictures with the property manager and they was going to forward it to the cleaning team. No follow up for management on my concerns on how dirty the condo was.

Girls trip plus our 4 year olds

Sandestin is gorgeous. The place was spacious 2 rooms and two baths perfect fit our party of 5. Only problem was the living room pull out was uncomfortable for our single traveler. She ended up just sleeping on the couch. The room was in excellent condition, looked just like the photos and the hosts provided plenty of towels and extra linens. A welcome basket with information about the surrounding grounds and how to access activities in the surrounding areas would have been nice, but luckily one of our party had been to the resort before and she was able to direct us and the kids to some fun stuff. Each of us are willing to return with more family and friends. Highly recommended!

Convenient location

Unit is on first floor corner so it was quite and view overlooking the bay was nice but still just a few steps to the pool. It did NOT have the bunk beds shown in the 2nd bedroom - only a double bed. We had selected the unit because of the bunk beds. Toaster did not work and TV in 2nd bedroom would not connect to cable. Flooring was bubbled and loose in the master bedroom. Door still sticks and was very loud going in and out

DO NOT RENT THIS UNIT!!!!

Unit was awful. Was clean but needs paint and other cosmetic improvement. But that's not the issue. Grills not allowed on property (should have been stated in listing). Gorgeous view from patio - but only 1 patio chair, so you'd better lug out some of the dining room chairs. The sliding patio door was so heavy and difficult to operate, a 6'1" 200lb man had to put all his muster into it to open and close it. Although property manager communication stated that laundry detergent was included, only 1 load of laundry detergent (in mini washer) was included. Exactly one garbage can liner was included. Master bed was basically a cot. Horrible springs/support/ no box spring. Poorly fitted sheet that came off through the night. The unit sleeps 6, but there were exactly 5 forks in the silverware drawer. Toaster didn't work. 4 times through the week, randomly, the ceiling fan would start spinning at higher than max speed. One of those times, the light on the fan just came on, out of the blue. Who knows what's lurking in the electrical system. I'm guessing this unit is either corporate-owned (and thus very undermaintained), or the owners never use it, because it's in terrible shape.
