Rocky Top Retreat-Decorated for Christmas Near NPS

Summary:

Rocky Top Retreat is a newly built cabin featuring a large covered wrap around porch for relaxing and enjoying wildlife. Inside the space is adorned with shiplap walls, cypress floors, concrete countertops and black stainless appliances. There is also a gas fireplace and lots of custom carpentry. It’s truly a unique space in our area that combines traditional materials with modern conveniences.



The Space:

RTR offers 1 Private King Bedroom on the main level and a Sleeper Sofa in the Great Room. You'll find a second Private Queen Bedroom upstairs as well as an open sleeping loft with a Queen and twin bed. A roll away bed is also available.



Guest Access:

Once guests have completed required documents, guidelines and codes will be delivered the day of arrival.



The Neighborhood:

Our Cabin is less than a mile to Adventures on the Gorge. The New River Gorge Bridge is within a couple of miles and downtown Fayetteville is 4 miles away. Rafting, hiking, biking,climbing,swimming, and fishing are all nearby. Summersville lake is a short drive away.

The Cabin was very clean. They are doing a few major upgrades to the fire pit area and a new amazing hot tub. They were such a nice addition. The host Michael was very informative and responded quickly to all questions. Will definitely love to stay there agsin

Rocky Top Retreat is incredible!! We were there for a weekend and didn't want to leave. The decor and layout make it feel so cozy, and the location cannot be beat. The hot tub was toasty and provided a beautiful view of the stars. Michael is one of the most considerate and courteous hosts I have dealt with. He made the whole stay go smoothly, and kindly alerted us to some weather that could impact our stay. I hope I am able to stay at Rocky Top again soon!

We had such a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. The home was clean, comfortable, and clearly well cared for, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Communication from the host was smooth and helpful, and check-in was simple and stress-free.The standout feature for our group was definitely the lower deck hot tub. It’s a fantastic setup—large enough for multiple adults to sit comfortably, and the lighting makes it especially enjoyable in the evening. The built-in Bluetooth speaker was an awesome touch, allowing us to play our own music while soaking and relaxing. It honestly felt like a private spa experience tucked into the deck.We spent a lot of time out there unwinding, and it quickly became everyone’s favorite spot at the house. Between the atmosphere, the space, and the thoughtful features, it really elevated the whole stay.Overall, this was a great property and a perfect place to relax. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to future guests looking for a comfortable place with a truly amazing hot tub setup!

Cottage near Adventures on the Gorge

Warm & Inviting, surrounded by nature, this serene property is within minutes of the Adventures on the Gorge resort. It is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Perfect set up for our multi generation family of 6. Plenty of privacy but wonderful gathering areas as well.

This property was the perfect place for our end of summer getaway! Secluded, but also convenient and close to town and all the sights & trails we were wanting to visit! The house is as described. We built this cabin in 2019 as an investment. We love the property so much we decided to share it with others. This cabin is in the best location in the Fayetteville area. You are 5 minutes to town, shopping, the New River Gorge National Park and 20 minutes to beautiful Summerville lake. But you are rural enough to kick back and relax. We have 6 acres of woods for your family and all of your fur babies to enjoy. There’s over 500 sq ft of covered porch for a rainy day or an evening grilling some dinner. The outdoor fire pit and hot tub are our two favorite amenities. You’ll love Rocky Top Retreat!
