What a beautiful, comfortable unit! We had everything we needed to feel right at home- from beach to kitchen supplies, they are stocked! We loved being on the 5th floor, corner unit. We could easily walk up and down the stairs to the beach or the whaler. Heather and Charles were very receptive and accommodating. We can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic Location, Property, Condo. Views were amazing. Best Sunsets and breeze. Not too high and not too low. You can hear the waves crashing lightly as sleep. Worth the dollars. The balcony and corner location were a bonus.

Wonderful place to stay in Kaanapali

We loved our stay at Whaler in Kaanapali! This condo was perfect for our family. You can’t beat the location and the view. It had everything we needed and the communication with the property manager was exceptional. We will definitely try to stay here the next time we are in Maui.

Absolutely perfect... The condo was spacious and comfortable. The wrap around balcony was amazing for ocean and mountain views. Some of the best snorkeling is right on Kaanapali beach. Whaler's village was a short walk for restaurants and shopping. We are already planning our next visit.

Our home away from home

We have been vacationing in Maui for over 20 years and staying at the same hotel. This year we decided to change it up and this home exceeded our expectations! Slice of paradise

One of my criteria for staying in Hawaii is always being where I can hear the ocean sounds at night. This place very much exceeded my expectation. We could sit on the lanai and see whales as well as hear and see the ocean crashing. The instructions and tips provided by Heather were excellent and we loved picking up food from a nearby restaurant and eating in the condo as it had a much better view than any restaurant. We are already talking about going to stay here again next year. It is perfect. The property is lovely and the amenities are perfect.

Amazing Experience!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Whaler 522! The condo had everything we needed for our stay. We cooked a lot so were very thankful for the well stocked kitchen. The beds were very comfortable as well as the couches! But let's talk about that view! WOWZA!!! We watched the sun rise every morning and the sunset in the evenings. It was so peaceful getting to sit out and enjoy the sound of the waves. Heather was amazing to work with! Seriously, we are very thankful for everything she did for us to accommodate our stay! Charles was also great. He was quick to respond with answers to questions we had. The location of the condo was perfect. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and other hotels. The staff at The Whaler was also great! There is no doubt we will be back to visit again!!!!

Absolutely beautiful and relaxing place to stay

We had such a lovely time in this unit. We spent hours upon hours on the deck just watching the world go by. The rooms are spacious, the beds are super comfy, the kitchen is well stocked, it's clean. Loved it loved it loved it. Note for people with mobility issues, the toilet is very low, we had to buy a toilet seat riser from the drug store. Also, if you need to use the portable pool chair lift, forget it. We struggled to get security to get it set up for us and the second time we used it they just vanished and we had to figure out how to get my husband out of the pool in the dark. After two swims we gave up asking. Still giving the place 5 stars as it is so lovely and we had the best time despite the pool frustration.

Perfect spot for a family trip

The Whaler is in the perfect spot, centrally located on Kaanapali Beach. If you don't mind the stairs, you can be down on the beach in about one minute from the kitchen of this apartment. Perfect for us as we are back and forth all day! This unit is huge and has the most amazing views (including sunset!) out of every window. It is clean and beautifully decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable with cozy sheets and pillows. We found everything we needed in the well-stocked kitchen, so when we wanted to cook it was easy. We were traveling with a baby, and they were very accommodating about getting us in a little early for nap time. It was the perfect spot for whoever had to stay in for naps to never feel like they were missing out, as you are practically on the beach when you're on the balcony! We have stayed at the Whaler many times but this was by far the best unit we have rented. We will be back! 10/10 would highly recommend.

Beautiful Condo

I would highly recommend this condo to anyone planning a trip to Maui. The views are amazing and somehow even more beautiful in person. The wraparound lanai was huge, and we spent much time out there enjoying the view. The location is perfect. You couldn't get any closer to the beach, and it was super convenient being next to Whalers Village. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The owner, Heather, and the on island contact, Charles, were both super helpful and great to work with. I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience all around, and I can't wait to go back one day!!

Best Location on Maui

This was a perfect location for a relaxing vacation for my mother and I. We spent a lot of time on the balcony. It was very easy to simply walk next door to Whalers Village and get dinner. We also especially enjoyed having both ocean and Mountain views.

Amazing views and condo

Wonderful large condo perfect for our family of 5. Large lanai overlooking the ocean and viewing the many whales was a treat. Great location near Whalers Village and resort hotels and restaurants. Mechanical issue with refrigerator was quickly resolved with no disruption. Excellent communication with both owner and on-site management company. We hope to return again soon.

BEST Location in Maui

Beautiful property!!! This property is probably one of the best in Maui. So close (2 min walk) to all the shops and restaurants and literally right on the beach! The view is spectacular. Property was clean and very spacious for my family of 5! Highly recommend this unit and we will definitely be back!

The Best Time!

This was our second visit staying at this exact property and it was just as great the second time around. The location cannot be beat and the unit is really well maintained and super clean. The location is literally steps from the sand and walking distance to many resorts, restaurants, and shopping along Kaanapali beach. We did a rainforest hike and were able to swim in fresh water lakes and waterfalls through Hike Maui, which was amazing and I highly recommend it. A visit to the Heavenly Spa at the Westin was super relaxing and we were able to swim with a sea turtle just out front of the property. I highly recommend this property and the owners were so easy to work with and made everything seamless!

Absolutely Wonderful

This was our second trip to Maui and I wish we had found this place for the first one! We were traveling for my 40th birthday and I’m glad we stayed here! The property itself is beautiful and right on the water. The grounds are well kept and the staff is very helpful. The condo itself is well kept, clean and very bright. We loved the floor to ceiling mirrors throughout; it means that we rarely needed to turn on a light because the natural light keeps the unit well lit into the evening. The wraparound porch is perfect and lets you sit outside (in the shade if need be) all day long if your heart desires. You can walk up the beach about 5 minutes to Black Rock and down the beach a minute to Whalers Village. There’s plenty of shopping and restaurants there and even a coffee place with great açaí bowls that opens at 7am. A good option if you don’t feel like driving or didn’t rent a car. We were near everything; 10 mins drive from downtown Lahaina Town and 15 minutes from Ziplines near the Ritz Carleton. We were only 2-3 minutes drive from Airport Beach (great snorkeling) and only a few minutes further from Napili beach. Heather was really wonderful and quick with communication when responding to questions. We were traveling with some tired kids so it was reassuring to have such an accommodating host. Be sure to read through the documentation that the host provides! It’s really helpful especially to those who may not be as familiar with the area.

Coming from an area that offers hiking, biking, water skiing, snow skiing - and jaw dropping beauty, we were a bit picky about where to spend our vacation time. After numerous trips to Maui, and years of vacation rental experience, we are still hooked and can't imagine spending time anywhere else.
As Maui vacationers prior to our purchases, we have experienced the island the same way many of our guests do. The Kaanapali area offers a tremendous variety of beaches, proximity to Lahaina, the famous boardwalk, the most amazing sunsets and the glorious views of Lanai and Molokai.
Our spacious corner unit has one of the most incredible views at the Whaler and on the island - now newly refurbished it is also one of the nicest places to stay as well! This condo is located on the north west corner of the south tower (Tower 2) which means you will not only have the gorgeous west ocean views but the unobstructed north facing ocean shore views featuring Black Rock as well. Watch the whales from December through April right from the wrap around lanai - or even the luxurious ocean facing beds!

Enjoy the views in complete comfort and luxury in this two bedroom, two bath unit, which features air conditioning, dishwasher, microwave, flat screen televisions in both bedrooms, (smart tv in living room), WiFi and a full size washer/dryer. Kitchen and bathroom counter tops are granite and the cabinets are gorgeous Hawaiian Koa. All finishes and furnishings create a luxurious, tasteful tropical feel. Appliances are top of the line. The unit has a beautiful travertine floor tile and plush carpets in the living room and both bedrooms that feel like heaven on feet after a day in flip flops.
Having owned another vacation rental located north of this location at the Mahana (919) we were ready for another vacation rental property that was equally as beautiful but different in location and resort amenities...The Whaler!

Our family loves to be comfortable. And we love beautiful things. When you're spending hard earned money for a vacation, you should expect the place you are staying to be cared for, and designed well. How do you FEEL when you are in a space? Are the colors soothing? Is it clean? Are the pillows and sheets luxurious? Is the bed spread 100 years old? YUCK!!! We have selected furniture that is comfortable and beautiful. We pay attention to these things and take your trust in us very seriously.
When you stay in our Maui paradise, you will be provided with everything you can think of to make your vacation a special one. And, you can rest assured that I will personally do everything in my power to ensure you are taken care so that you can create wonderful Maui memories to last a life time.
