Casa de campo en el río

Home on the Ranch Guest Cottage está ubicado en el hermoso valle de Kettle en el río Kettle. Rodeado por 20 acres de césped y campos, algunas gallinas y vacas. Veranos calurosos e inviernos nevados.
Tendrá una casa de dos habitaciones y un baño con todo lo que necesita para que su estadía sea cómoda.
Cocina completa con nevera, estufa, lavavajillas y microondas. Estufa de leña pequeña en la cocina para mayor comodidad.
El dormitorio principal mira hacia el río desde la cubierta adjunta. Lugar perfecto para el café de la mañana.
El segundo dormitorio tiene una cama doble y una litera doble / doble.
La sala tiene dos cómodos sofás modernos, TV, radio, juegos de mesa y libros. Netflix y WiFi disponibles.
Alquile kayaks o canoas o flotadores para flotar en el río Kettle en verano. Callado y pacífico.
Somos agricultores que cultivan nuestro propio ganado criado de forma natural, huertos y pollos para obtener huevos. Una docena de huevos te estarán esperando en la nevera.
Hay una barbacoa, una parrilla y una mesa exterior y sillas para relajarse después de un día completo.
Estamos a 45 minutos de algunas de las mejores bodegas. Campo de golf por la carretera y pista de esquí a solo 30 minutos.

Life on the River

All of us (5 adults) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin by the river. The cabin was well equipped and contained all the necessary amenities that made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The hosts were friendly and helpful, even offering us farm fresh eggs in the morning. Although there was no ac the cabin remained cool throughout the day and night. This was an excellent getaway!

Serene perfect place to stay

Anyone looking for a comfy well appointed place in a serene setting with the nicest hosts imaginable should look no further. Highly recommended. Spent 3 nights here with my 10 year old son and we couldn’t have asked for more. 10/10

A thoroughly wonderful experience

My husband and I spent a week here in early September, and couldn't have wished for a lovelier time. I counted 44 bird species from the back deck, which overlooks the beautiful Kettle River. We swam in the river, played golf at the excellent course nearby, cycled the rail trail across the river, and canoed in Jewel Lake. The cottage is absolutely clean, and utterly charming. Debbie and Lanny are delightful hosts, as are their 7 curious turkeys. We're already planning our next visit.

Great little get away

The Little House is great, Lanny and Debbie were great hosts. The turkeys and chickens entertained the kids, they also loved the water right behind the house. Great little getaway from daily life, just what we needed.

A Home Away from Home

Wow! The house and location is absolutely breathtaking. The chickens that walk around during the day are adorable and the cows that are occasionally seen in the field is a lovely surprise. The float down the river is super relaxing and there is a lovely mix of sun and shade so there is no chance of overheating. From the property there is also the option to do a crisp morning dip into the river to start your day. The fresh eggs that are provided taste outstanding and are the perfect morning meal. 10/10 will be staying here again.

Above & Beyond

The cottage was fully stocked with everything you need for a week long vacation, or longer really! The owners went above and beyond to help us feel welcome, share about the area and make sure we always had everything we needed! The acerage is absolutely beautiful! So quiet and relaxing. We loved hanging out, and learning about the chickens! The property has access to the river, a fire pit and BBQ. Our family, with 2 teenagers, highly recommends this property!

A little bit of heaven

A wonderful retreat away from city life. A time of quiet reflection on a farm and river with wonderful big sky, sights and sounds of animals and fantastic hosts. Accommodations was everything you could need or want for a home away from home.

Great area and perfect management

Very idyllic setting by Rock Creek. Quiet, surrounded by nature and short distance to many outdoor activities. The cottage is very tastefully furnished, clean and provide great base for exploring the area. The hosts are friendly, helpful and fast responding to requests. One of our best stay.

Peaceful country getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the home has been lovingly renovated and is well appointed, we had everything we needed and appreciated the cleanliness and attention to detail. The location is beautiful and very peaceful. We enjoyed sitting under the stars around a bonfire, cycling along the KVR rail trail and visiting the local farmers market. Thank you Lanny and Debbie!

Great stay at Home in the Ranch Rock Creek

We really enjoyed our stay at home on the ranch in rock creek. Floated on the creek, went for some casuals strolls and visited the local market. The cottage was perfect and quiet and right on the creek.

Wonderful weekend getaway!

We enjoyed an amazing stay at Debbie & Lanny’s cottage. The home exceeded our expectations and was updated and very very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. We especially enjoyed the fresh eggs that we’re waiting for us upon our arrival. Our kids had an absolute blast with the chickens! The owners also had a small inflatable pool set up with some water toys for them to play with, and a small tricycle which even our older kids had fun with. Us adults enjoyed our morning coffees (and peace & quiet) on the back deck overlooking the river. The river was a refreshing way to cool off from the heat in the afternoons. This was our first time visiting the Rock Creek area and we had a lot of fun exploring what the area had to offer. We spent some time in Greenwood on the playground as well. The playground zipline was the main attraction for them! We will 100% be back and next time hope to extend our visit beyond just a weekend. Thanks again for your hospitality Debbie & Lanny! Lovely, quiet stay in the country.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The river was perfect for a relaxing and refreshing tube float and swim. The kids loved the chickens, hens and turkeys! We are sad we only discovered Rock Creek Trading Post on the last day, very delicious food and coffee! Lanny and Debbie were great hosts and we were impressed with how clean the cottage was. We wil be back! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway with close enough proximity to Osoyoos (45 mins away).

We live on 40 acres of land. The cottage is on several acres backing onto the Kettle River. It was the family home while growing up in this area. In 2015 we started to renovate and make some changes. We decided to try vacation renting and have enjoyed hosting people from all over the world!
We have a small farm with cattle, hay vegetable garden and a few chickens, a couple of cats, Yorkie and lots of visiting wildlife.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We built our home on the neighbouring ten acres. This farm was in the family since the 1940's. Being right on the river has been wonderful for birds, beaver, river otters, eagles, deer, elk and moose. The coyotes can set up quite a howl on some nights. We never know which critter will be visiting but it is always interesting.

This is such a pretty area with clean air, drinkable water from the tap, no chemicals or pesticides, river frontage, just good clean living.
