Hermosa propiedad frente al lago con 2 cabañas - Crooked Lake Angola, Indiana

Bienvenido a Shady Side Cottages at Crooked Lake. Crooked Lake es uno de los lagos deportivos mejor guardados de Indiana. Dos cabañas completamente renovadas ubicadas en una propiedad frente al mar en el Lago Crooked Angola, Indiana. Disfrute de increíbles amaneceres y puestas de sol desde ambas casas. Ubicado cerca de la Cabina del Capitán, así que puedes caminar hacia abajo para cenar o tomar algo. La cabaña superior es de 830 pies cuadrados, y la cabaña inferior es de 600 pies cuadrados. Ambos tienen terrazas que tienen mesas / sillas en el patio y cada una tiene vistas espectaculares del lago Crooked. Disfrutar de la pesca desde el muelle o saltar en el lago refrescante. La casa cuenta con tablas de remo, kayaks, botes de pedales, fogata, una televisión en las cabañas superiores e inferiores, wifi, televisión por internet y una variedad de juegos.

La cabaña superior fue completamente renovada y recién terminada a principios de 2019. Duerme 6-7. Cuenta con dos habitaciones (1 cama queen, 1 cama completa) y un porche trasero convertido para dormir que tiene dos camas individuales y un nido con una cama. El salón incluye un sofá seccional. Hay un baño, una cocina completa y una lavadora y secadora.

Las renovaciones de cabañas inferiores están en marcha y se realizarán en la primavera de 2019. A esto le llamamos Kids Cottage o una familia se queda en lo alto y la otra familia se queda en lo más bajo. Duerme 8 fácilmente y el loft agrega más espacio. La casa de campo inferior tiene una cocina de tamaño de apartamento pequeño, un baño completo completamente renovado, dos habitaciones (una litera grande y una cama tamaño queen en una habitación y una litera con dos camas individuales en la segunda habitación). Hay un pequeño loft que tiene dos colchones gemelos a los que se puede acceder mediante una escalera integrada.

Las cabañas están convenientemente ubicadas a la salida de las autopistas I-69 e I-80/90. Cerca del hotel, disfrute de la Cabina del Capitán para cenar simplemente caminando por la calle. Otros restaurantes y actividades cercanas incluyen Caruso's, Subway, Tanger Outlet, heladerías, Pokagon State Park, Tom's Donuts y una variedad de restaurantes y tiendas en Angola, Indiana, que se encuentran a 5-10 minutos en automóvil.

Beautiful location, upper cottage is nicely appointed for an older home. Lower cottage had multiple issues, broken items, window, and ladder to loft, dirty dishes in cupboard, minimal amenities including no heat. Parking suitable for cars not a truck.

Very nicely updated cottages. Early check-in was very nice. Paddle boards were fun! The upper cottage kitchen had mostly everything we needed. Our family of 9 had plenty of room and enjoyed a long weekend together.

Beautiful place to vacation at! The cottages are sweet and well kept. Lots of fun sport equipment for the lake fun. Lake very clean and swimable for kids right from the dock. Lovely views. Just wonderful overall. Owners were great and very accommodating to us. Just a blessing of a vacation spot. Thank you Julie!

Perfect lake trip for our family! We loved staying at the cottages. They were well appointed, comfortable, and air conditioned. My wife appreciated all of the hooks to hang swim suits and clothes. The lake was amazing - super clean and clear. We loved the ability to have our boat at the house dock. Owner was extremely responsive. We look forward to coming back in the future.

Both cottages were very clean. The main cottage has a well stocked kitchen. We used the kayaks and the grill. The fire pit area is very nice with comfortable Adirondack chairs. Check-in was easy. Communication was great. We really enjoyed staying in this area. We recommend visiting Tom's Donuts and Scoops Ice Cream.

Fun summer vacation cottages

Two cute cottages with ample room for adults and grandchildren. Swimming out front has easy access for all ages, with sandy lake bottom. All enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Beds and furniture are comfy. Decks have beautiful lake views. Would definitely rent again!

Wonderful stay!

We loved this property! We do an annual friends lake trip and even though each cottage was small it was very clean and had tons of sleeping spaces. We will say there is no central air in either cottages. The AC units kept the cottages pretty cool however in the upper cottage the kitchen was significantly hotter than the living which is where the AC unit was. With that being said the dock was awesome and the houses were very clean and smelled GREAT when we walked through the door. We would have probably preferred to all be in the same house but we booked it late and this was an excellent alternative! Also the host was very accommodating and responsive!

Crooked Lake Cottages

We loved the cottages and they were perfect for our whole extended family that came together for the weekend. Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and perfect swimming area. Love how many outdoor chairs there were and the paddle boards and kayaks were great!

Lake get away

Property is nice with a wonderful swimming area and pier. The kitchen in the upper cottage is well equipped. The grandchildren loved the amenities of kayaks and a paddle board. Only disappointment is the sleeping loft that could sleep 4 people but not suitable to use due to how hot it is up there with no air conditioning up there and no window covering to keep out the sunlight. Also the enclosed porch on the upper unit has 2 nice twin beds that would be wonderful to use if blinds or drapes were installed to block out light. We loved everything else about the property. We would recommend this property to others.

Great Lake Experience

We had a wonderful stay. The cottages were nicely updated and had everything we needed for the weekend. The host communicated well when we had questions. We would definitely come back.

Cute but water issue in lower house

Both houses are decorated nicely and it sleeps quite a number of people. Top house is great. Bottom house has cute decor. Paddle boats and kayaks are great to be able to use. However the water at the bottom house was an issue for us. There is a very strong sulfur smell when you used the hot water even when we tried to run for 5-10 minute thinking it was water left in the water tank. It was strong enough that no one was able to take a shower in that house (everyone used the one bathroom in the top house) and the sulfuric smell lingered quite a bit. Communication with owner when we had a couple of questions was quick and efficient when we had a couple of questions and very helpful and kind.

Great location

We loved the location and private swim area. A few improvements to be made: - lots of ants on the upper cottage deck, constantly searching for food - lots of bees outside, making eating on either deck or by the water nearly impossible. One of our 4 year olds was stung on the ear. - large depression on the hill going down to the fire pit — one person severely twisted their ankle and took a nasty fall Overall good and we hope to return again someday. Thank you!

Multi-Generational Family Stay

We had a great weekend at Crooked Lake! This property was everything that we were hoping for. We were pleasantly surprised that the lake bottom in front of these cottages was sandy, completely free of lake weeds until you get out past the dock. The water was also wonderfully shallow for quite a ways out, which was so fantastic for the three toddlers in our group. We used the kayaks everyday and the paddle board was a favorite! The views of the sunrise and sunset were just beautiful and exactly what you'd imagine at a lake getaway. The AC window units worked well to keep things cool but they were very noisy. The only space we noticed that didn't get cool was the loft. The kitchen was very well appointed with absolutely anything you could possibly need. There were very minor maintenance issues that could be addressed: the slider to the top deck would get tight and difficult to move halfway open, the latch on the upper cottage's back door would get stuck on the plate so it was hard to lock up the door back again, and the barn doors in the lower cottage would come off the tracks if pushed too hard or in the wrong direction (as kids tend to do). We loved that both of the houses were one story inside. It made it very easy to baby proof and let the toddlers and kids go free in the house. We also extremely appreciated having plenty of plastic plates and cups! It felt really kid friendly, which was exactly what we were looking for. We are so glad we stayed here!

Family vacay

Has a wonderful sandy area for swimming with kayaks. The main kitchen of the upper cottage was well equipped. The decor of both cottages was nice. The home owner was easy to communicate with. The outdoor grill is usable but falling apart and really needs replaced. The sleeping porch needs a big fan to cool it down to sleep. Also the lower cottage should have a window air conditioner in the loft to allow it to cool down so you could use the loft as extra sleeping. Overall we would highly recommend these cottages to rent . We had a wonderful time at this property with our family.

Family Getaway

We were impressed with the overall cottage decor and cleanliness, even a fresh bouquet of flowers. Everything, including kitchen spices and condiments were available. The kids had a lot of fun with the basketball goal that is mobile and can be used at the water edge. It’s a great place for young children because the water is so shallow and clear. The teenagers used the kayaks. We attempted using the grill, but it is totally rusted out, not really usable. The paddle boat was not cleaned and ready to use, as well as the life jackets. Theses things can be easily remedied. Overall, it was a great fit for our family. We had a wonderful time!

Could not have been better!

What can I say but everything about this property was truly perfect for our family/group. Check in was easy. Place was clean. We had so much fun being out on the water and celebrating the birthdays with lots of birthday cake. Must do this again real soon.

Great for two families

Two great little cottages that are perfect for two young families wanting to vacation together, but also have their own space. Nicely updated and had all needed kitchen/bedroom supplies. Shallow, sandy lake entry was great for kids to play in the water. Outdoor steps could use updating and wouldn't be ideal for elderly visitors but they didn't cause our group any problems. Host was very responsive although we didn't need much. Hope to return!

Lake Weekend

Had a great time skiing and surfing with some friends. The only downside was the checkout time of 9am was pretty early. This made packing up the kids and boat pretty rushed even with starting to load up the night before. The host communicated quickly when contacted including reaching out to the trash company to come empty some smelly trash that was there when we arrived. (They didn’t pick up when they were supposed to, this was not the host fault). We will likely book again.

Family Summer Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at Shady Side Cottages. The property was clean and perfect for a family Summer vacation. The kids loved the kayaks and paddle boards. Julie was easy to communicate with and very responsive.
