Amazing stay!

We had a great stay at this lake front home. Great views and amenities. Beds were very comfortable. The house was so secluded but only a few miles from town.

Gorgeous location on a small lake not far from town. Very well equipped house, nice layout and great host. Our whole family enjoyed paddle boarding and canoeing the lake in our down time at the house. Red-necked grebes, loons and eagles sighted from the deck.

Beautiful home, beautiful location!

We loved this home. It is very private and the view is beautiful. The hot tub, paddle boards and canoe were a bonus! The kids had a great time.

Great host, and nice place

Andy is a great host, and the place fit our needs well. There is some float plane noise, but very little road noise at night. The place is a perfect getaway, and we enjoyed it even though it rained most of the time. We would stay here again!

Very Quiet

Our family of 5 enjoyed this spot very much. Great location, picturesque and peaceful. Enjoyed watching the sea planes takeoff and land on occasion as well! House is very modern and well stocked. Highly recommended!

Lakefront home

Andy's home was absolutely amazing. We stayed in 3 different homes in Alaska and this was by far our favorite. The home was tastefully decorated, very clean, and very welcoming. We loved hearing the loons on the lake and the peacefulness of the surroundings. It is also a great area to stay if you are a runner!

Fall leaves and the northern lights

Andy thank you for the wonderful stay. The cabin is close enough to Talkeenta to be there in a few minutes and far enough away to be private. We caught the leaves in fall dress and some northern lights on a clear night. Look forward to returning.

A Slice of Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. As a family that enjoys hanging out, cooking in and playing games it was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to prepare any type of meal with lots of spices and condiments available. We enjoyed watching the planes take off and land all week. Would highly recomend for a relaxing and peaceful retreat!

Wonderful stay in Talkeetna

Andy’s home in Talkeetna was great. It was super close to town, about a 5 minute drive. And the lake was awesome. Beautiful views. We used the canoe and hot tub multiple times during our stay. The house was clean and everything worked great. Thanks.

Amazing Lake Stay

What a great location. Secluded but close enough to everything we wanted to do. The place was immaculate and very well maintained. We enjoyed every bit of our 2 nights. Thank you so much for providing a wonderful experience. I’m not sure if you’re aware but it seems like half the jets of your hot tub don’t work and there was a little build up but overall what a great place to relax. Thanks again Andy

Fabulous house by the lake!

We stayed at the house over the weekend and had a blast! Owner was very quick to respond and such a nice guy. Pros: insanely comfortable pillows & mattress, plenty of towels, private property, hot tub, and ability to connect your music to speakers. Cons: Wish there were stairs to hot tub or have it be located on deck. Wish we could have used the fire chimney inside. If you’re contracting out the cleaning, ask them to do deep cleans on areas like the fan. Overall, pleased with the stay and would recommend!

Perfection

If you’re wanting to stay in Talkaneeta and this place is available, snag it! We stayed here 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The house is clean, well stocked and comfortable. The best part is the host Andy went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. He was available at anytime to us and checked in with us prior to our stay. We saw a Moose take a swim right out front in the lake. While in Talkaneeta, we enjoyed a fly over Mt. Denali, a guided fishing tour and an upscale dinner with spectacular views at the Talkaneeta Lodge. The Talkaneeta lodge is beautiful but we had a better stay in this house! Thanks Andy for helping us make incredible memories!

Beautiful accommodations and view!

Everything we expected and more. Watching float planes take off was awesome! It was a bit warm when we were there but with the windows and fans it was okay. Town short trip down the road, Talkeetna Lodge also right down the road for beautiful Denali viewing (thanks for the info). We were fortunate to have 2 clear days out of the 3 we stayed and could view the peak of Denali. Saved us a ride all the way there. Would highly recommend the house, it was stocked with all the basics you could need and very clean. Felt right at home. Andy was quick to reply when we reached out to him. Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful place!

Doesn’t get any better

Great location just minutes to Talkeetna, quiet, and beautiful. Andy was the best host I’ve worked with on my many travels. Fast, professional, and friendly. We found lots of excellent fly fishing in the area. The only improvement I’d make is to have walking pavers to the hot tub. My pathetically sensitive feet struggled on the gravel. The house is clean, well appointed, and easy to use.

Lakehouse Retreat

This waterfront property is wonderful! We spent many hours kayaking, SUPing, and swimming. There is a swim dock we paddled to, not far from the house. The hot tub was welcome on rainy days and after a full day on the lake. The owner is easy to communicate with & was immediately available if we had questions. We will be back for sure!

Clean, cute and convenient!

We stopped here for 3 nights on our way to Denali. The location is ideal - close to town, yet removed from the crowds. The house is very clean and minimal in decor, but still had everything we needed. Andy included some nice extras that made our stay very comfortable, including lots of towels and a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed watching ducks and planes on the lake, and even saw a moose and her calf wander through the driveway! Perfect little getaway for our foursome. Thanks so much!

Great views, nice getaway

This is a lovely rental home, with lake views and access, plus a hot tub, good sound system/electronics and super comfortable beds. Kitchen is well stocked. We would have spent more time in it but we also wanted to explore Talkeetna. Communication with Andy was great.

Beautiful Lake House

The property was fantastic. We arrived slightly early and met Andy at the location. The house is beautiful and looks out over a lake. We used the canoe and paddleboards on the lake and we enjoyed watching the seaplanes taking off and landing on the far side of the lake. The hot tub was great in the evenings after our day trips around the area. The house had a very nice modern kitchen and a great entertainment system for movies at night. Andy had a book to explain how to work everything and he also provided a cell phone number if we needed anything, but everything was perfect. Andy even had coffee, breakfast bars and a nice bottle of wine setup at the house when we arrived. We rented three different houses during our time in Alaska and this house was definitely the nicest property. We will be back to this location again.
