Roberts Lake property was everything it was advertised as and so much more. He has obviously gone above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning again..

The house and deck are amazing. The bird life along the lake is fantastic. Though there are 75 stairs from the car park to the house was not a problem for us. But they might be a consideration for some.We totally enjoyed our lake house experience.

Wonderful stay

This is my second time at the lake house and I simply love it. The owner is very kind and always responsive to any questions. My kids and I had a great time.

Retirement get away

Couldn’t have found a more perfect spot to celebrate: gorgeous cottage with amazing deck overlooking the lake, and everything you’d need for a vacation on the water. House was immaculate with every amenity imaginable.

The host thought of everything!

This was a beautiful, very comfortable lake house. Lots of details, some I would not expect, were seen to like gates on the deck to contain dogs, a jug of water in the fridge, ice cubes made, WiFi, a tv and dvd player in both bedrooms and living room, lots of extra blankets. There were cushions for deck chairs, wood for the fire pit, kayaks, life jackets… it was a lovely location, too. Overall, a great place to be.

Relaxing

Beautiful home on Cayuga lake. This home has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay. Views from the decks are amazing, I spent mornings afternoons and evenings on the decks just relaxing watching the lake and listening to the waterfall right next to the home. Owner has 2 bird feeders on the deck that attracts so many different birds, great with your morning coffee. Property on lake level just as pretty. Fire pit with chairs, gazebo with table and chairs, chair swing, canoe (which my daughter and I used to go out on the lake fishing) and kayaks. Owner does forewarn about the amount of steps, there are a lot BUT this home and the level of relaxation you feel while staying here is well worth it.

This is a beautiful well appointed cottage with outstanding views. The cottage itself was very well stocked with all our basic needs. Our host Robert was easy to connect with, exceptionally friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this property with only one warning (for older visitors) there are a lot of stairs to the cottage.

Such a beautiful spot in Ithaca! Meticulously clean, everything is labeled and easy to find. Comfortable beds. Very close to all attractions/restaurants/etc. Like it says in the listing, the stairs are long and steep, but it’s worth it because this place is beautiful!

Magical stay on Cayuga Lake

Beautiful lakefront cottage

Despite rainy weather for the first few days, the sun did eventually come out on day 3. The lake was beautiful (even in the rain). Location was close to town for shops and restaurants and nearby Wegmans and a Trader Joe’s. We made it to Taughannock Falls and that was beautiful! Winneries abound. Steps were many but owner clearly shows that in all of the pictures. Driveway is a challenge to exit bc the driveway is very steep but once you do it a few times you get the hang of it. Overall, 5 stars. Will definitely plan to stay here again!

Fantastic location and view

The view and location of Robert's house is top notch. The easy access to the lake, and the outside living spaces are well kept, well thought out and absolutely relaxing. We used the double kayaks many times and it was the highlight for the kids. The house itself is cozy with all the essentials to make our stay comfortable. The furnishings and interior of the house are dated, but everything was functional and usable. I couldn't get the coffee machine to work, and Robert immediately sent over a brand new coffeemaker (Thank you!). The living spaces are more than adequate for a family of 4. We would highly recommend this lake house for a small family!

Cayuga Lake NW Ithaca

House was close to town, parks and wineries. Property was clean and organized The Lake was lower than normal so the seaweed was abundant. Enjoyed the views from the deck space

Special Times

The cabin and it's convenient location served as an amazing vacation for myself, my husband and our Cornell law student son for a week. The views, beautiful waterfall on the property and relaxing deck were all enjoyed greatly. Highly recommend this homey getaway. Was prepared for the steps but they were better than I expected!

Beautiful backyard right on the lake. Perfect house for a family of four. Fully stocked property. Location is perfect for quick trips to the commons, state parks, and many of the waterfalls.

Even Better Than We Expected!

Wonderful location — close to everything in Ithaca but also a relaxing, quiet haven. There is a small waterfall directly next to the house, the lake in back and a great biking/running/walking trail across the street. The house is very clean and comfortable. There are several different outdoor areas to hang out (which is a plus when members of your family need some alone time). We used the kayaks many times. The grill and appliances are all high quality. The spa tub and large shower are wonderful! There were beautiful plants and flowers in pots all around the outdoor spaces and even out on the dock. You can definitely tell that the owners actually use this property due to all of the love and care put into every detail of the home. The only possible barrier for some would be the amount of stairs. They are up front about this on their listing and include a lot of photos. We were all mentally prepared for this extra workout when we arrived :)
