Let's get the negatives out of the way first. No full coffee pot.Brought my own.8 people don't want to stand around waiting for everyone to run through a pod.The beds were really squeeky.Not uncomfortable, but definitely annoying.Ice maker in upstairs kitchen either didn't work, was slow, or too complicated for me to operate, so we had to go into McCaysville to the IGA to get ice.Door to the master bedroom needs squared up and WD-40'd.REALLY squeeky.For us, finding the thermostat was difficult because it had a white covering on it that said "alarm.com" or something that would lead you to believe it isn't thermostat. Nobody wants to get aggressive ripping covers off of things in a vacation house, but one of our guests is like that and she found the thermostat after pulling off the cover so to speak. Little light on cookware, dishes, etc. etc. Serviceable though.REALLY light on the wash clothes and towels. Pros:Really clean inside.The decor isn't everyone's style, but I thought it was great and they spared no expense on Knick knacks, cabin themed decorations, etc. All in.The resin deck furniture was great and plentiful. Must have cost a small fortune.Master bath has a toilet with heated seat and bidet.I'd never used a bidet before.Game changer lol. Kitchen is nice, large and open.Easy for multiple people to be helping with dinner or clean up without being on top of one another.I can't imagine how much cedar or pine is in this place. Amazing view. Would go back 4 sure.

Health Hazard Home- Stay away!

The home that was infested by thousands of horse flies and a very foul odor as soon as you opened the door. Dead flies on the floor with every step, dead flies on the beds, inside the sheets, all over the kitchen, etc. We couldn't even attempt to bring the food in because they would swarm and attack. A true health hazard especially when traveling with kids since these flies are known to carry many pathogens. Vacasa refused to do anything and I was forced to book another $5,000 property for our week long trip. They even charged me for 1 night of stay and the full amount of their fee's, majority being cleaning fee's lol. I have countless videos and pictures to show the condition vacasa keeps their properties in. A quick Google search will show you similar horror stories and sub par ratings nationwide.

Spacious Cabin w/ Amazing Views

Although the cabin was lacking in luxury, it made up for things with the amazing views and space. The ice dispenser, hot tub, grill, and fireplaces were not working properly at the time of our stay, but Vacasa was quick to make things right. Anyone looking for an escape from the city will enjoy this mountain retreat!

What beautiful views!

So yes the beds aren’t that great, and yes they need to replace the grill. But overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay. It’s a Beautiful cabin with wonderful views. It also has plenty of space. What you see in the pictures is what you get. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Location....

We enjoyed our time at Cinnamon Bear Lodge and would recommend it to friends/family. The only negative comments we have are about the grill and kitchen. The refrigerator in the main kitchen does not make ice and the water dispenser did not work....however, we did compensate with the basement ice maker. The grill needs to be serviced badly....the drip pain had to be held up by a large stick we found in the yard. Other than that, the place was inviting, the views amazing, and it has a really nice layout.

Amazing Views, Needs Minor Updates, Uncomfortable Beds

First off, this house has an amazing unobstructed view that the photos do not do justice to. That along with the location are the best aspects of this house. Some of the furniture needs to be replaced badly (particularly the outdoor furniture and the beds). The pool table is in very good condition as is the hot tub especially considering the high price for renting the home. Mattresses are sagging and uncomfortable (overly soft), and the pillows are flat and useless. Expect to bring everything you need in the kitchen (there is no salt and pepper even). Kitchen is spacious and good for cooking with multiple people. There are many areas for people to hang out even if some want to do separate things in different areas. Downstairs wet bar and fridge are great as well. A/C did a good job cooling with outside temps in the 80s. Would recommend this place for the views, but the beds and furniture bring this place down a star or two, particularly at the price point this rents for.

Great Getaway

We loved the place. The house is massive and the architecture is stunning. It was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. However, from an interiors designer perspective... the decor of the home really took away from the overall vibe. Unfortunately, it lacked the cozy feel you would hope a cabin in the mountains would possess (especially given the cost) and resembled more of a bear museum/park. The lighting throughout the home was very dim and gloomy. It would have been wonderful if the interior space allowed for the natural beauty of outside to enter. Over all, we had an amazing time, spending most of our time on the gorgeous, spacious decks with breathtaking views.

Quiet family time

Incredible home and view - pictures can't capture it!

Stayed here with our two kids. We will be booking again as soon as possible - absolutely fantastic home. Incredible custom build. Surprised at just how much space is in this cabin. The touches in every room were so cool. Great experience for kids of any age basically. I would have loved this place as a kid! A few points for improvement: 1. The master mattress definitely is sagging. The supports underneath seem to be incorrectly set up, possibly a safety concern - should be an easy fix. Pro tip - we slept sideways on the bed. 2. When we arrived, the previous guest's food was still in the refrigerator. Luckily it wasn't a huge amount and wasn't messy - we were able to clear it out pretty quickly, but it did make us feel a little uneasy about what else might haven't been cleaned completely. We had no complaints about cleanliness otherwise! Future guest tips: 1. Be prepared for Internet to go out! No big deal - take in the view. Resetting the router sometimes brought it back online. (It's upstairs on the top floor.) 2. If you're looking for good coffee, try Yellowbird in McCaysville. 3. If you have small children, watch out for the branches sticking out from the side table, and coffee table live edge. They are beautiful, but also a little scary with a toddler! We ended up putting a jacket over the branches to avoid an eye poke. 4. The house is definitely on a hill. Not a place you'll want to leave kids unattended, but the deck can be closed off! 5. IGA is probably the best place to grab groceries on your way in if you are coming from the west. They don't have everything, but it's pretty good. Overall, we had an incredible time and would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Awesome view!!

The house was very clean and the view was amazing !! The only thing I would put extra care is on the kitchen drawer and the master bedroom mattress. The kitchen drawers were not cleaned at all and The master bedroom mattress was sagging and needs replacement. Taking care of that the house would be just perfect . Thanks for letting us to spend a great time with my family .

Fantastic View

We really enjoyed the property. The home and view are beautiful. Our only complaint were the beds. They were very noisy. Each time you would roll over, or get in or out of the bed, it made a tremendous amount of noice. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table and eating outside. There is a lot of space in the house for everyone

Great House

Great house with an amazing view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Large, spacious and tastefully decorated. Only two suggestions: 1) the bedding is in need of a serious upgrade. Every mattress in the house felt like it was way past the replacement date. Very soft and lumpy. Not at all the same quality as the rest of the house. 2) Even though the house is listed at one price, by the time you get through with all of the fees and charges, it was more than DOUBLE the published rate. At that price, you would think the house would come with some firewood. $200 worth of firewood would last all season and it’s a huge pain in the butt to haul firewood in addition to all of the other gear you need for a mountain retreat. Other than that, the place was awesome! I did have some real issues with VRBO and the reservation. Even though I booked through VRBO, and paid VRBO, and got a confirmation from VRBO, I would up doing business with somebody called Vacasa. When I called VRBO, they said I had no reservation, then they gave me wrong information about the house and the wrong entry code. Thankfully, Barbara, the local manager was a great help and did her best to straighten out all of the misinformation coming from VRBO and Vacasa. Despite the hiccups, our group had a great time and enjoyed the house.
