Great Location

The house is within a block of beach access. It was clean and certainly met my expectations. I would stay there again on a return trip to Cayucos.

Great location

This home is in a great location. The kitchen appliances were like-new and clean. The 3 full baths and off-street parking for our 3 cars was good for our party of 8. Unfortunately, the kitchen cabinets are grimy and the contents are dirty and full of old items. The house, cabinets, and closets are stuffed full of junk. Every square inch of this place has decades' worth of stuff. The owner would do well to have someone come in and edit out 70% of the stuff. It is hard to use the space due to clutter and overcrowding. The 2 wood side chairs and the wood futon need to be replaced as they are unusable. We had to sit on pillows and blankets to watch the Olympics on the TV. The TV is so old the only streaming you can get is YouTube and Netflix. The bath towels are so old they are falling apart and there are no beach towels. This space is good for a family as all the bedrooms are on the first floor and there is a yard with green grass out back. Three full baths are so helpful. Hopefully, the owner will inspect the rental and make a clean sweep. It's like they spent 4 decades filling the home up, left to run errands, and never came back. Great location but we will not be back. Thank you to SeeLyon for helping us. Check-in and check-out was easy.

Great location

Had a great time with family. House appears to be primarily a family vacation home that is rented to visitors on the side. Lots of personal belongings, trinkets and decor from owner. It didn't bother us. Location was dreamy; only a 2 min walk to beach. Good memories were created.

Walking distance to the beach!

We spent 4 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We especially liked the quick walk to the beach, but watch out for tar on the beach during certain times of the year. The house had a very firm king bed, a queen with a very, very soft topper, and an older bunk that should probably be replaced soon. There is also a futon upstairs in the living room. There were 3 full bathrooms, which was nice given we had 3 teens with us. Much of the living furniture is older and in need of replacement (cushions are pretty flat), but this would not keep us from staying again. I think there was no air conditioning, but we left the windows open and would not have needed it anyway. Town is about a 15-20 walk, which we also appreciated. We had a great stay and are planning our next trip back to Cayucos!

Great family home

This house was great for a family of 8. One block from steps to the beach at 12 street. The only issue I had was all the pots and pans. I didn’t feel these were all needed and made it hard to find what I did need. But this would not stop me from renting again.

Peaceful and Serene

This house is beautiful and in a perfect location for a peaceful getaway. Nice and quiet neighborhood with the ability to walk anywhere in town. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Perfect escape from LA

My family of 5, including 2 younger kids, enjoyed nearly a week's stay here. The location cannot be beat-- a 5 minute walk to the beach, and everything is so peaceful and quiet. The backyard is just right and the light in the upstairs living area is lovely. The kitchen has a great stove, the refrigerator is super nice; the pots and pans need to be thinned out and probably just replaced with a decent set. Our only bigger considerations for staying here again would be an overall mustiness to the place-- I think a replacement of linens (sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, even mattresses are pretty well used and done for, stained and some tears), as well as a good washing or replacement of the fabric on the furniture upstairs would help a lot. It's such a cute space overall, so it was a weird sort of disappointment that the furnishings and such smelled so musty and stale. We kept the doors and windows open when we were home to get air flowing. We wanted to love it more, so here's hoping some extra love and tenderness are given to this otherwise really sweet place.

Cayucos Memorial Day stay

Overall really liked the place - great location, generally clean. The garage/game room wasnt very useable (full of owners stuff) but, to be fair, listing didn't promise much more. Only issue was that tenant before us must have put away dishes dirty as we food dirty dishes, pots and pans, and utensils everywhere - kind of annoying

The house is in disrepair and filthy.

The location to town and the beach is terrific. The house itself is not so great. It’s outdated, shelves and toilet paper holders ready to fall off. The dishes had to all be washed before use as they were all still dirty. The freezer was full of someone’s else’s food. The carpets throughout the house all heavily stained and still dirty with particles...not vacuumed. The supplies were extremely minimal and we were left with instructions to replace all paper products used. There’s was no soap or shampoo in any bathroom. There’s no air conditioning. The kitchen and living room are on the second floor and it was sweltering up there all weekend. The oven was broken and we were left with a small counter top oven roaster.

Delightful beach home

Extended family (grandma, adult kids & grandkids) stayed here. The home is well appointed with beds & blankets. The kids loved the garage playroom. It's 2 blocks to the beach, an easy walk, and there is an outdoor shower with warm water to clean off the sand at the end of the day. Great time!

Family weekend

This was a great house for our family of 5. The kids liked the foosball table , large connect 4 game, and the gas fire place. The house is a short walk to the beach.
