Great and best location

We had a family time here for a week. Great location, every room have its own bathroom. Genius view and entry to the beach. Great hospitality from the owner. We will come back.

the online photos need updated. the tile patio was fine but the wood deck was in disrepair. the kitchen has plenty of cooking supplies but no trash bags, no paper towels and very limited cooking and cleaning supplies. The towels and sheets were clean and the beds made nicely, but quilts were stained with human excrement and quite disgusting. A toilet had a broken toilet seat and a toilet had a broken flush and no lights. the furniture is all covered because most of it is riddled with stains. the host was very congenial and helpful. The house was very spacious and a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. it was a ten minute walk to town and a great location for visiting surrounding towns.

Die Lage des Hausese ist beeindruckend. Die Nähe zum Meer, wenig los im Juni, hatten den Strand quasi für uns alleine. Wermutstropfen, die Klimaanlage war defekt.

Great beach holiday with friends.

Great communication with the owners from day one. Amazing space for two families. Enough to lounge or entertain together as well as each have a room to get away, even with multiple aged kids running around. Comfortable beds with clean linen and bath towels and separate beach towels. Easy access to the beach. Originally thought you could walk right onto the beach but we had to walk around a little sand dune down a short path but that is for beach preservation purposes so worth it. We had to go onto the beach to watch the kids rather than sit on the deck to watch them but that may be just fine for most people. The sand was great, perfect for sand castles. Nice outside shower to get all the sand off after hanging on the beach. The house had a great deck and huge sliding glass doors which was ideal for indoor/outdoor living. Lovely 10-15 walk down the beach to a little beach town with several lovely restaurants and pastry places. Not much by way of knick knack shopping but the architecture was quaint. Perfectly located for day trips to Noto and Modica. I would recommend the property to anyone!

Terrazza sul mare: Perfekter Name!!!

Tolle Terrasse!!! Davon lebt das doch schon etwas ältere Objekt. Schöner riesig breiter Strand, nahes Dörfchen- zu Fuss zum Brötchen holen. Vermieter sehr kommunikativ und hilfsbereit, hat nach Reklamation sofort die alten unbrauchbaren Pfannen ersetzt. Jedes Doppelzimmer mit Bad- Küche soweit alles da, Wasch-und Spülmaschine! Kochinsel mit mega-Aussicht! Da macht Kochen noch mehr Spass!

Pure delight!

We cannot praise this little piece of heaven high enough. The villa is huge plenty of space for 8 adults giving everyone private space as well as great social areas. Luciano gave us a very warm welcome, he did everything possible to accommodate our needs. The house was very well equipped for self catering, with a local supermarket about 5-10min drive. The star of the show is the location directly on the beautiful beach with a low level sandbank in front to provide privacy but what a view, you would never get bored looking out from the sun deck perfectly positioned for watching the gorgeous sunsets, simply stunning. Donnalucata is a 10-15 min stroll along the beach it has a wonderful rustic charm with a great selection of good quality restaurants from basic to higher end but still not too expensive. Our favourites were Blue Moon for amazing gelato so good! Mezzaparola, superb fish, our top place has to be Il Consiglio di Sicilia if you appreciate high quality food using local ingredients a must visit for the best lightest pasta and award winning cannoli - delicious! Missing this place already, we will definitely be returning. Grazie Luciano and thank you Sicily we have fallen in love!

Prachtige woning aan het strand

Mooi groot huis, op het strand. Je loopt de duin over en je staat op een prachtig zandstrand. Het huis is groot, voorzien van genoeg spullen voor een groot gezelschap. Vanaf de veranda heb je een fantastisch uitzicht op zee, ook de zonsondergang is prachtig vanaf die plek. Het contact met Lucio, de beheerder verliep voorspoedig. Ook in de aanloopfase. Hij reageert snel per mail. Donnalucata is een klein plaatsje, met leuke restaurants en een fantastische ijssalon (Blue Moon). Ook in de omgeving vindt genoeg uitstapjes (Ragusa, Noto, Scicli, Siracusa). Wij hebben met 6 dames een heerlijke minivakantie doorgebracht in het mooie, ruime huis van Lucio. Een aanrader!

A five star holiday and perfect location on the southern coast of Sicily.

"WOW, what a fantastic holiday. The villa was lovely, clean and well appointed. The location was perfect, right on the beach just as the photos show and not over crowded, very Italian and friendly. A gentle stroll along the beach in the evenings to Donnalucata for supper. It was great for teenage children and adults alike, something for everyone. We would highly recommend it and will certainly be going back, maybe even next year, we already miss it!" Max and Trudy, England.

Chilled week

So lovely to be by the sea. Great to swim in and so close to the house. What a view. Liked the fact there was washing powder, dishwasher tabs etc provided. All v comfortable. Ate in local village and marina de Ragusa most nights. Thank you Luciano. :)

Tolles Haus in fantastischer Lage

Wir haben mit zwei Familien Urlaub in Lucios wunderbarem Haus gemacht. Ingesamt waren wir 4 Erwachsene und 5 Kinder, davon 1 Baby. Das Haus war perfekt für uns - groß genug, um allen genug Platz zu bieten, gut ausgestattet auch für unsere kochverrückten Männer und dazu noch die Lage! Das Highlight des Hauses ist sicherlich die Terrasse und der Küchenbereich mit Blick aufs Meer. Das Haus liegt hinter einer kleinen Düne, so dass man dort recht geschützt ist. Die großen Kinder konnten schon problemlos alleine zum Strand - das Wasser ist flach und durch die vielen kleinen Buchten hat man fast das Gefühl, jedes Haus hätte seine eigene "Privatbucht". Ins Zentrum von Donnalucata läuft man etwa 15 Minuten am Strand entlang. Dort gibt es Bars, Pizzerien und sehr gute Restaurants, dazu die bereits in anderen Kommentaren erwähnten Fischverkäufer, die täglich frischen Fisch im Angebot haben. Ende Juni war noch wenig los, was aber herrlich war - auch am Strand war es überaus ruhig und die Nachbarhäuser waren ebenfalls noch nicht bewohnt. Wer ein wenig mehr Trubel haben möchte, fährt in eine der tollen Städte im Umkreis wie Modica, Ragusa oder Noto. Alles in 30 bis 60 Minuten zu erreichen. Auch Marina di Ragusa ist ein sehr nettes Städtchen mit einer schönen Strandpromenade und Leben auf der Piazza. Man kann aber genauso gut eine Woche total entspannt im Haus bleiben - eigentlich will man nämlich gar nicht weg da, weil es so schön ist. Unsere Kinder haben natürlich die Badewanne unter der Treppe geliebt. Witziger Platz dafür, aber irgendwie auch sehr cool. Von den ingesamt 4 Schlafzimmern befinden sich 3 im oberen Stockwerk, wo es auch noch einen kleinen Wohn/Sitzbereich gibt, eines ist unten neben dem Wohnzimmer und der Küche. Die Treppe ist für Kleinkinder unter Umständen etwas gefährlich, da sie kein richtiges Geländer hat - unsere Kinder haben sich mit ihren 3 und knapp 6 Jahren aber schon problemlos hoch und runter bewegt. Die Lage in einer Sackgasse macht es wirklich sehr gechillt dort, mit dem Auto ist man aber schnell beim nächsten Supermarkt. Sonst braucht man das Auto eigentlich fast nicht. Lange Strandspaziergänge sind eigentlich ein Muss, der Strand zieht sich 10 Kilometer lang. Prima zum Joggen in der Früh - und wir sind bei entsprechendem Wind sogar vom Strand weg gekitet. Alles in allem war das ein perfekter Familienurlaub - Mille grazie, caro Lucio!

Phantastische Lage!

Wir haben eine wunderbare Zeit in diesem schönen, sehr sauberen und ruhig gelegenen Haus verbracht. Die Terrasse ist traumhaft, man kann zu Fuss in 15 Minuten am Strand entlang ins Dorf spazieren, um frischen Fisch zu kaufen. Die Gelateria am Strand ist einen täglichen Besuch wert. Herzlichen Dank an Lucio und Clare, sie sind sehr aufmerksame und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir hatten super Ferien in eurem Haus.

Great house in perfect beach location

This is a high quality holiday house right by the beach. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, very good for a group of couples or family with teenage children. The terrace was a great place to relax and then go to the beach from. Beach is sandy and good for swimming even with young children. Always plenty of space. Very few tourists. The town is just a 10 minute walk down the beach. Very pleasant. We didn't leave Donnalucata all week but it is close to places like Ragusa, Modica and Noto for day trips. Lucio was a very helpful host. Would recommend highly.

Splendid holiday home

We had a wonderful week in your splendid holiday house. Perfect location. Perfect views of sand sea and sun for breakfast dinner and tea. Tastfully decorated to complement the views.Charming walk up the beach to find good food and bars. All in sight of the lighthouse made famous by Inspector Montalbano. Thank you.

Beautiful house in a perfect location

This was the perfect place for our party of 8 adults to stay at the end of September (care would be needed for young children on the exposed staircase to the first floor). Lucio made us very welcome and was helpful in recommending restaurants. supermarkets etc nearby although the area was quiet as it was the end of the season and some restaurants were closed. The house was very clean and well equipped and it was great to step off the decking and stroll along the beach to the town and swim in the sea. The location was ideal for visiting the nearby Baroque towns or spending the day by the sea. We would certainly recommend this house and look forward to visiting again.
