Esta pintoresca casa de campo con estructura de madera se encuentra justo al lado del histórico Riverside Drive en 104 Anderson St en New Smyrna Beach. Wonderful accommodations!

The little red house was perfect. Plenty of room to relax, have dinner enjoy the area. Easy walk to town and the local beach. We ate at the Yellow Dog Cafe and Cafe Verde, both were wonderful. There is great shopping in the area, be sure to visit the gallery in town. There is also nice clothes shopping both in town and out on the island. When I asked in town, they were not very helpful on that matter. If you are looking for a no car, fairly empty but beautiful beach drive out to the state park beach at the end of the island. It is wonderful. Get there early, because they only let a limited number of cars in and you cannot park anywhere except in the designated spaces. Take a picnic and drinks with you. It is amazing. Kate was a great resource and the house was completely relaxing and wonderful. Highly recommended.

NSB welcome gift was very nice as were the staff especially Rob. Marie the owner was the best. She gave us a $100 gift card to a local restaurant for a minor inconvenience related to the washer which was repaired as quick as possible. Our only recommendation would be to upgrade the TV to a smart TV to allow guest to use their own streaming services. Probably would need to upgrade the internet speed as well.

Had a wonderful time at the coastal cottage! Excellent neighborhood (Riverside Drive) and walking distance to Canal Street. Minutes over the causeway to the beach and Flagler Avenue. Highly recommend this property and the town of NSB!

The Coastal Cottage met

The Coastal Cottage met all our needs. It is clean, cozy, well equipped and quiet. We brought our dog along and he was welcome throughout New Smyrna. The dock is private and we enjoyed fishing almost daily. We have visited the Coastal Cottage before and will again. Oh, an added bonus....Marie was a delightful help!

The perfect cottage in

The perfect cottage in the perfect location. Every thing inside the cottage was warm and inviting, and extremely clean. We loved having access to the dock, and enjoyed the beautiful view of the intercoastal with our morning coffee, and in the evenings. Close access to shops and restaurants were an added bonus. We highly recommend this cottage, and you can't go wrong when dealing with Kate and her great team. Thank you Kate for the relaxing, enjoyable, great vacation!

Delightful cottage

The location of the cottage is convenient for walking to town or to the park on the Indian River. The king bed is comfortable. Kate was proactive and responsive. She made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed cooking on the gas grill and sitting on the front porch. The cottage is now painted cream and many improvements have been made since our stay last year. Parking on the street in front of the cottage was always available. We really enjoyed our stay and will return next year.

Perfect in every way!!!!

Was a little skeptical only because we had stayed at a property that was not what was described a couple of years back. That being said this place was perfect and better that described!!! Took my dad and 16yr old son on a fishing trip and this place was clean, close to everything, and my son fished every evening off the dock and caught dozens of fish!!! We look forward to our next trip to fish and will chose the cottage to stay in again!!!

Relaxing Thanksgiving Holiday :)

I grew up in New Smyrna and visit my family there frequently. I have always wanted to rent a place near the river for one of our visits and this little cottage was everything I'd hoped for. The location is excellent being directly off Riverside Drive and a few minutes walk to Riverside Park. Canal Street is a couple blocks past the park with wonderful restaurants and shopping. And just beyond Canal Street is the Old Fort Park and the City Marina. All of these wonderful places are within walking distance of the cottage. We only used the car to visit family or go the grocery store. The cottage itself was very cute with a small yard and porch. We enjoyed having coffee on the porch while our dog sniffed around the yard or slept on the porch. Inside the furnishings are very nice and the beds were very comfortable! The kitchen had most items you would need to prepare food from the grocery store. The only items that we needed to purchase that we didn't expect were dishwasher detergent and toilet paper. Kate was available even on Thanksgiving Day if we needed anything, but she was also considerate to allowed us our privacy to enjoy the cottage with our family. Overall we had a truly comfortable and relaxing stay and the little red cottage and would absolutely stay there again! Loved it!!

Wonderful property!

If you don't care about being right on the beach this property is fabulous. We loved being able to walk to Canal Street restaurants and shops. The open and spacious layout was just perfect for a couple's weekend away. Host was extremely helpful and responsive. We would love to return!

The Little Red Cottage

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The location for us was perfect. A 30 second walk to the inter-coastal with your own pier. One could fish, have a drink of wine at sunset and watch the dolphins swim by and the Pelicans diving for fish. This sweet little house was a 5 minute walk from the beautiful old section of New Smyrna with lovely restaurants, shops, museums a Saturday morning market and often art exhibitions. If you crossed one of the bridges only minutes away you entered the more touristy Smyrna with excellent restaurants, bars and one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. Close in proximity were tons of nature including Merritt Island, the current site of the Kennedy Space Center with bald eagles, exotic birds and alligators. Our hosts were warm and very helpful. The local residence were also extremely friendly. The cottage was charming however the kitchen could use a little updating! We recommend this cottage to those who are not looking for gated ritzy accommodations or huge shopping plazas close by. This place has a real nice feel!

Home away from home

Our family stayed at the little red cottage for our spring break trip and it was perhaps our best vacation to date. Kate was so incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. She gave us amazing suggestions on where to eat, what to see and where to take our little ones. We loved that she let us use their bikes, their dock and fishing poles (my husband and our oldest spent hours fishing and caught, photographed and released countless different amazing fish, it was always an adventure to see what they would pull up next), and even showed us how to paddle board. We took a couple of day trips to Orlando, saw alligators, manatees (our kids called them huggy whales) and many other local wildlife at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and spent hours swimming, finding shells and playing at the nearby beautiful New Smyrna Beach. Local and nearby sights and restaurants were also fabulous. It was nice to have a place for our preschooler to nap, keep up on laundry and eat in. We definitely utilized the grill too (it's a gas grill by the way as I believe it is listed as a charcoal grill and we ended up buying one just like it for our home because it worked so well!). The cottage was so incredibly comfortable, especially the beds, well decorated and clean. Loved it all!! Thanks for helping make it such a great stay Kate! There is so much to see and do here and such a comfortable place that we wish we could have stayed there longer! Truly a gem!

Perfect little place

The Little Red Cottage is located in an area that will take your breath away upon arrival. The family who rents the cottage is sweet, helpful and charming and helps to create a fun and relaxed ambiance. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving Dinner as a family in the cottage and had plenty of room to eat and relax while my little one played outside. While staying at the cottage you are offered kayaks, bikes...etc. It is like staying close to friends. The only problem is finding time to enjoy all of the beauty and available activities so make sure you plan to stay long enough to fit it all in. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Comfy, Cozy Cottage

My husband and I came for a long weekend just when a cold wave hit New York City in November. Good time to visit! We were so glad we rented the red cottage instead of staying in an impersonal hotel room. It's larger than it looks from the photo. An airy living room/bedroom, eat-in kitchen, second bedroom, bathroom with large shower. Furnished with flair. Less than a block from the intracoastal waterway, a few blocks from the old downtown on Canal Street. Kate was welcoming and helpful with dining recommendations and fixing the tv when we used the wrong remote. Drive down to the Canaveral National Seashore to enjoy the beach without condo buildings. And check out the ancient mound of oyster shells that was the tallest skyscraper of another era.

Charming little cottage!

We were delighted to visit New Smyrna Beach for the 4th time! It's a wonderful town full of great food, people and of course the beach! This was our first visit to the Cottage, and it exceed our expectations for comfort! Cozy bedding, beautiful decor, a kitchen with all the necessities! It was perfect for my family of 3! The owners were a lovely couple and were there to make sure our stay was enjoyable! I was so impressed by this little gem, I suggested to my sister she bring her family!!

Great experience.... Hometown feel and so close to the BEACH

We arrived on a Friday evening and The Little Red Cottage was welcoming with warm lit rooms. Kate was right there to inform us of the layout and if we had any questions. Bikes and Kayaks were offered to us immediately and we took full advantage. It was so nice to be able to leave the car behind and ride to the beach and throughout New Smyrna. I love this location!!! Walk to Canal Street which is located in the Historic District...which is within minutes to all different types of restaurants and ice cream stores. The Little Red Cottage comes with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Kate is working hard on getting a better internet connection....at this point it is frustrating. The beds were very comfortable with the best linens offered and plenty of pillows. Great full size washer and dryer is also included. Thank you Rob and Kate

Great little cottage

My wife and I stayed in this cottage for 5 days and enjoyed it immensely. We had stayed in condos through VRBO before and been pleased but since this was our first trip to Daytona Beach to visit our son and his family we were looking for something new. The listing for the cottage caught our eye because of the location and the fact it was different. We didn't really know what to expect but were very happy with what we found. The cottage is small but the space has been utilized very efficiently and cleverly. There was plenty of room for the 2 of us. Everything was very clean and well thought out. Kate lives in the house just a few feet away and was there to greet us very soon after our arrival. She gave us a thorough briefing and suggestions on local restaurants and travel info and when we discovered no spare rolls of toilet paper was there with replacements in less than 5 minutes. The location is great since you are only a couple of blocks away from the causeway to the beaches and only 4 miles (straight shot) to I-95. Very easy to get around, very quiet street, nice neighborhood. Listing was accurate and photos true to reality. We would definitely recumbent this cottage to others and in fact we are talking about returning and staying for 3 or 4 weeks.

The Red Cottage

We found this cottage online while searching for a weekend getaway that would fit both our budget and our interests. The Red Cottage provided us with so much more! It was far enough from the hectic beach scene that it allowed us to disconnect but close enough that we still got to enjoy the unique shops and local businesses that are exclusive to New Smyrna Beach. Since your stay at the cottage includes access to bikes and kayaks we took long bike rides to the beach (about 2 miles away) and got on the tandem kayak to explore the area thanks to the dock shared with the owners. Kate was very accommodating and her attention to the detail was obvious during our stay. The cottage was very clean and cozy making us look forward to our return when we were out enjoying Kate's great recommendations. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the touch of adventure it included. Overall this was an excellent find and we plan to to stay here again in the future. -Gaby and Dan.
