Beautiful view and great location. The owner is so kind and thoughtful. Some construction was started next to the house and she warned us so well in advance, it was so considerate but it was not a problem at all. We were definitely sad to leave at the end of our stay!

Lovely Respite

We booked this to be our “chill” house after driving all around Portugal for several weeks. The house was a great spot for a little rest. It was nicely stocked with kitchenware. View was excellent, especially the beautiful lights of Spain every night. And the sunsets! The neighborhood was quiet, cute little towns nearby and some fascinating geological features to see at the seashore EuroParks.

Watching the sunset over Spain while enjoying the pool...What's not to like!

Although navigating the narrow streets and roads can be a challenge, once you get to the top of the hill, the spectacular views and the modern sleek accommodations are more than worth it. Although the nearest town (Seixas) is not exactly a bustling metropolis, it is very quaint (as are the neighboring towns), and there's really excellent access by major arteries to Porto and beyond. We found a local vineyard with a great tour (and lunch) at Casa de Cuca, and enjoyed kayaking and bicycling pretty much in our own backyard (Caminha). A major treat was shopping in the local farmer's market with Maria (the housekeeper, who met us when we arrived, and brought fresh towels midweek), and then having her prepare a dinner for us; at 100 Euro, it was a bargain and easily the best meal we had during the week.

Peaceful retreat

Although remote, our host Eduarda was very easy to reach and communicated all details timely so we never had doubts about arriving and checking in. Mr. Liquito (local) was there to greet us and show us around and solve any minor inquiries. The house was very clean and comfortable. The induction stove top worked extremely well, when Mr. Liquito returned to show us that we had to hold the on button a couple seconds to turn on! That dumb one is on us! (One minor note; please buy a new non stick frying pan, the existing one is worn out with teflon coming off and not healthy). Every other appliance was excellent for a short term rental. I gave a four star for location (not 5) because it is subjective. We loved the location for its serenity and views but the drive up from town has a few tight turns. There are worse and tighter drives in Porto but be prepared to be cautious in a couple spots. Parking the car in the driveway is a bit of a challenge with a midsize SUV but given that we had a private gated parking space I think most willlagree that was excellent. The back of the house opens wide to view over the small pool and beautiful views of river and Spain. A great place to watch sunsets with a glass of wine. We spent hours over our stay in the evenings enjoying that! The area is quiet and people friendly. Caminha is only a few minutes by car to enjoy the restaurants and shops and plenty of grocery options.

breathtaking view

we stayed 10 nights in that wonderful house and found everything exactly as described and as per the pics. The house is on top of the hill, quiet and private. It´s a modern building with nice bath- and bedrooms. Kitchen fully equipped. We really enjoyed our stay here. A car is of course required even though the distance to Caminha (5 min) or Molede Playa (10 min) is near and convenient to get. The only challange is to find the place. My Sat Nav got lost. But the host Eduarda is very friendly, patient and helpful. Available at all times with immediate response. Eduarda arranged someobody to come down to the village, guide us to the house and made the check in and introduction very quick so that we could start to enjoy our stay. Many thanks to Maria. Unfortunately the weather conditions did not allow us to use the pool or sit on the Terasse all night as it was cold and rainy - Without that it would have been 100 % perfect though it is not the fault of the house. Thank you Eduarda !

Superb house, peaceful location, amazing views

This is a superb, contemporary holiday house at the top of the village of Seixas. To the front, it has a large, well-furnished lounge/dining/kitchen (fridge, freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, sink) area with an amazing view through a range of floor-to-ceiling glass doors across the Mino estuary to Spain. There are two comfortable bedrooms at the rear of the house with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, both with their own bathroom, and even a third bathroom/shower room. There is private parking behind the house, accessible via a remote controlled sliding gate. The house is well equipped, including air-conditioning, and the 4G WiFi works efficiently. A washing machine and iron/ironing board are in an outhouse at the side of the house, along with a clothes drying rack and a barbecue. The garden area with well-tended bushes, the large patio and the swimming pool are equally superb. The house only has one other neighbouring house to the left and is therefore quite private - there are trees behind it and open land sloping down to the right. The surrounding region is hilly, with picturesque coastline and beautiful pine forests. There are pretty coastal villages to the south of Caminha, and, south of them, the old town of Viana do Costello. The nearest supermarket is a few minutes' drive to the east of Seixas and there are some excellent restaurants, and a beautiful sandy beach in the small town of Caminha, a few minutes' drive to the west. There are also good restaurants and a supermarket in the small Spanish town on the other side of the estuary, accessible via a €4 car ferry from Caminha, or a bridge to the east of Seixas. (Supermarket and petrol/diesel prices are lower in Spain!) There is a petrol station and are some cafes and small shops in the village of Seixas, and even a train service from Seixas to Porto. The house is about an hour's drive via motorways from Porto airport. The owners are sincere, friendly, kind people and very accommodating to their guests. My partner and I hope to return here again.

Una vivienda única

Es una casa muy especial por diferentes motivos: espléndidas vistas, calma, privacidad, diseño contemporáneo... Muchos detalles sobrepasan tus expectativas. Caminha y la Foz del Miño son sencillamente estupendos.

Presque bien

La maison est destinée uniquement à la location,bien conçue mais malheureusement mal entretenue. Les points positifs sont la vue exceptionnelle et la qualité de la literie, en revanche l'ensemble est vieillot avec un évident laisser aller. Un seul coussin tout décousu pour 4 transats, rideaux décousus, cuisine bringuebalante, une douche est bouchée, la baignoire a une bonde non étanche donc impossible de prendre un bain, les tapis intérieurs et extérieurs sont dans état déplorable, vieux et sales, bref un ensemble de détails qui gâchent le séjour. Dommage.

Das Haus liegt fantastisch und ist architektonisch sehr chic und durchdacht. Einzig die Sauberkeit (Fenster und sonstige Flächen) und der Check-In nur in portugiesisch (und bei einem Haus mit Pool gibt es einiges zu erklären) lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig. Daher "nur" 4 Sterne.

Maison avec vue exceptionnel

Wunderschönes Haus

Das Haus war zunächst schwer zu finden aber ein netter Einheimischer konnte uns weiterhelfen. Die Einfahrt und der Weg ist etwas für Fortgeschrittene Autofahrer. Als wir ankamen waren wir begeistert von dem Haus. Vor Ort mangelt es an nichts. Es sind Decken, Handtücher, Toaster und bis hin zu einer Mikrowelle alles vorhanden. Die 3 Bäder sind Luxus und man fühlt sich rundum wohl. Ich kann dieses Haus nur weiter empfehlen. Es ist 1h von Porto, 20 min. von Spanien, 15 min. von einem Aldi und nur 5-10 min. mit dem Auto vom wunderschönen Sandstrand entfernt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Danke Eduarda für den netten Kontakt. Bis bald!
