We really liked it. Thought that it was a standalone unit from the listing, with two big dogs, it was almost a game changer. The owner however was willing to be more than accommodating to the needs that we had. It was truly a wonderful visit. Cannot state how beautiful it was.

I appreciated arriving during the day because the condo is located at the bottom of a small hill, and it took a moment to figure out which door led to our specific condo. It is a three floor walk-up, but the view makes it totally worth it. It was great to have parking right outside the location. We visited in October, but I imagine this location during the winter time would be an amazing place for quiet reflection and quiet walks on the beach. They have all the toys to enjoy a summertime visit as well. We are a mixed couple and were unsure of the community so we instacarted our groceries and the groceries arrived as we pulled up, so it truly felt like everything was taken care of. We spent the day at the Great Escape Spa that is just ten minutes away, and were well taken care of. The steam room in the condo looks a bit intimidating with the red light and single plastic chair, but it was truly a gift and was great to use after our massages and facials. The grill was perfect, along with the hot tub and jacuzzi. Our dog became visibly relaxed almost immediately since he had the outdoor patio to lay on and sniff new smells. We did not take advantage of all the games and it felt a bit crowded with all of them, but I imagine the right visitor would really enjoy them. The gentleman who was on site was very friendly and helpful. On our way home we noticed how close we were to the outlet mall. We are looking forward to visiting again.

The view from the balcony was stunning without any obstructions. The walk to the beach, along the sandy path was easy. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates, glasses, pans, skilletes, and utensils. There arecomplete instructions and labeling for all the fun stuff; arcade machines, steam room, hot tub, massage chair, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed our stay, loved the pinball machine. Walk to beach wasn’t too bad and definitely worth it. Hot tub and jacuzzi were nicely sized. 10/10 would stay here again.

Nice quaint spot. Quick 3-5 minute walk to the lake. Beautiful area for swimming or sunbathing. Lots of directions to follow if you need any assistance with how to operate anything!! 2 Thumbs up!!

Birthday beach getaway

Hidden treasure! Wish the path to the beach was easier…lugging equipment was a workout! Realized that it costs as much to stay here as it would have on the beach walk (more modern and new). But kids loved the games in the apartment!

We recently stayed at “The Miami” and enjoyed the quirky, well-equipped space, especially the private deck and arcade machines. The location near the beach and dunes is beautiful, and the property has a lot of unique amenities. That said, there are a few important details that future guests, especially pet owners should know ahead of time.First, this is not a standalone house. It’s the top-floor apartment of a three-unit building. Access is via a shared stairwell, and a live-in caretaker resides on the bottom floor. Some of the amenities described — like bikes, kayaks, beach wagons, and the soda machine — are shared with the other units, which wasn’t entirely clear in the listing. That’s fine if you’re expecting it, but worth knowing in advance.We booked this rental in part because it was listed as dog-friendly, but the reality didn’t align well:There’s no grassy area for dogs to relieve themselves.The sand can reach very high temperatures (over 100F), which isn’t safe for paws.The yard contains cactus and poison ivy, and there were LOTS of ticks.During a required phone call, the host let us know that dogs aren’t allowed on the beach, and to take an umbrella to hide them. We were also told that if our dog might bark at all, we needed to take them with us at all times, which is not very practical.This property has some standout features and could be a great fit for couples or small groups without pets.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Miami. The location was private and beautiful. The deer came right up to eat and we watched them from the patio. We had many family competitions on the games and enjoyed the quick access to the beach. Everything worked properly and it was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. We all agreed we would definitely stay again!

Great get away location

Place was very clean. Instructions pasted to the wall a little odd but helpful all the same. Place feels a touch dated but has been very well maintained. The hot tub was very clean had very little smell and was a hi light of the whole place.

Our third time here! But….

Overall , this is a fantastic condo! If there was a loft area over the entrance for a second bed for friends to stay, what a value it would be!- (Hideaway just doesn’t cut it!) Otherwise same as trip to Vegas! Also, as others have mentioned, little ladybug type incests falling onto bed at night unacceptable

Beautiful get away for 2

Beautiful view, the house was clean besides the dirty toaster oven, and barking dogs. Overall it was definitely worth the drive. ******you can see Chicago lights across the lake at night!!****

Quirky Fun Stay

We're torn on how to comment on this stay. In some ways it was awesome - the fact that it has a video poker machine, a feeding station for deer (that you can watch in your room), that the beach is right there, a massage chair, the fireplace can be turned on with a flick of a light switch, the bed was super comfortable, the host is very attentive (maybe too communicative), there's a hot tub, and it's clean. However, the game room is in a very small closet; you have to have them all running at once (the sound is loud); they didn't check between guests to see if they were all working (which the game we wanted wasn't; so we had to call and it seemed like that's their preference - on us to call); all the bathroom light switches are timer based; there are bugs (mostly ladybugs and beetles) that drop through the skylight; the dogs on the first floor bark a lot; and for some reason you have to call the host ahead of your stay and have a long drawn out call (would have preferred to just had a keyless entry situation and communicated over the app). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and our pup enjoyed running on the beach. This is a one and done place for us, especially because of the price and the fact that it doesn't seem like they care to modernize things.

Great getaway

Such a cool spot for a relaxing getaway…so many amenities packed in one place! great view, big outdoor hot tub, indoor whirlpool tub, sauna, massage chair and pet friendly. We had a great time!

Great place on the beach

We stayed here for the weekend. We are originally from Michigan City and it was great to have a place to stay nearby that was not a hotel. The arcade games were a nice touch. Didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub, but it was an added bonus. Everything was clean and in good working order. Would definitely stay here again!
