Cool urban retreat

The owner, Shac, was very helpful from booking through check in. There is also a manual on site that covers most topics for the stay. Our family enjoyed staying at Lucile Heights!

Close to city and clean property

We loved most everything about our stay and we’d do it again but these are things any renter needs to know: - the neighbors who were also weekend renters left their door unlocked and two thieves entered in to the first story room at 9:30 pm and grabbed a purse that they spilled all over the driveway and left after they found and stole $1000. They also bashed in the windows of the two cars in front of that condo. When we saw this we freaked out and called the police who came. Our condo owner was responsive to our concerns and reminded us that our doors had auto locks after 30 seconds and we ensured that our cars were all parked inside the garages. That led to no problems for us - the kitchens were missing some key items that we did expect namely a wire whisk for making batter, a deep cake pan and cookie sheets. We rented the two units so we borrowed cookie sheets from one unit for that item but we improvised for all other things. And for the record there have been two thefts at the neighboring condo in the last few weeks. Now ironically in the day light we felt very safe and we rode our bikes every morning in the surrounding neighborhood and we loved that experience. Lastly we were 12 minutes from downtown and we had a large 12-passenger van that just barely fit at an angle in the garage and the house space was excellent. The beds were comfy and the kitchen area was perfect for our 19-person gathering. Oh lastly we would have really enjoyed a foot rest or something that would have allowed us to lounge more into the couches.

Sibling reunion

Communication with the owner was excellent. For our group it would have been better not to have all the stairs. We are all over 60. Love Nashville!

Dishonest advertisement

Location: Not good. We had MULTIPLE Uber drivers tell us not to go out of the condo at dark. Residence: Beds and couches were comfortable. The units were very clean as far as housekeeping items go. However, one unit smelled horrifically of stale cigarette smoke and one had a giant ball of what appeared to be gum and pubic hair in the corner of the wall. The hallway walls are completely beat up, the rooftop deck has no cushions on the couches, torn and dirty cushions on the two lounge chairs, and the "lights" surrounding the deck had not bulbs. Many deck boards were coming up at the seams creating trip hazards. I texted Shac immediately about the disappointing condition of the units. He offered me a full refund to leave in 1 hour, but of course, there was nothing available for our size group. We checked out 5 days ago and I still do have have a refund for the damage deposit either.

Fantastic!

We rented both properties and it was perfect for our youth service group! Pay no attention to a previous review criticizing the neighborhood as “unsafe.” It’s a residential street off of an industrial road. Common city experience. We loved it. We walked to the coffee shop each morning. The views from the roof are fabulous. The condos are spacious and clean and beautiful. Kitchens are well-equipped. Everything feels high-end but not in a way that you are worried about breaking something. Just fantastic. We will be back!

Rooftop deck attraction letdown

As advertised in the pictures, there was a fresh rooftop deck my family and planned to use during our stay. As captured on our video within the first hour of our stay, my 6 year old nephew got a splinter in his foot from the deck. We tried removing it ourselves but were unsuccessful. Each deck was worn/untreated, nails protruded from the boards, the patio furniture was stained, carelessly scattered on the deck, the hammock was unusable as it appeared to have been thrown from the deck down into a bush 3 floors below. In addition to the deck, the neighborhood was unsafe. We thought we could walk to a few stores but we did not feel comfortable in the area. The owners were very responsive and apologetic when we called to explain our concerns and offered us a full refund. We were lucky to find 2 new homes for our family and the owners agreed to a reduced refund since we had to stay 1 night. Please advise of the next steps for our refund. Thank you, Evelyn Banks

Absolutely WONDERFUL place to stay

The property was absolutely perfect for our needs. We brought over 20 people and everybody had a bed or cot to sleep on. The The living rooms were perfect gathering spots and the roofs had a beautiful view of the city's skyline. The host was incredibly quick to respond and incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend staying here, and if the need arises, we will absolutely be booking again.
