The apartment was lovely - great living/dining/kitchen space - easy to spend time together. Great central location, easy to walk or take the metro around town. Lots of great restaurants and markets all within a few blocks. Would definitely recommend!

Great Stay

Lovely apartment with beautiful floors. high ceilings, large windows(doors) with the living room overlooking the river. Great location on the island between rivers allowing easy access to to all of Lyon’s highlights. While the apartment was tastefully furnished, we didn’t fear our toddlers trashing the place since there was so much open space. Our host was friendly and easy going. You do need to know to search for the name Ruchon when you access the intercom to be buzzed in.

Beautiful, spacious apartment! More than enough room for two families. Very clean and great location. The only thing I would mention is there are 5 bathrooms, but only two of them have toilets. This was not a problem for us, and everything worked out perfectly. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful trip to Lyon

We couldn't be more pleased with our stay at Lyon. The apartment was absolutely gorgeous and spacious. We walked to many tourist spots and ate at delicious restaurants. The host had excellent communication. We cannot wait until we visit again. Merci!

Beautiful

We had a trip of a lifetime in Paris with our adult children. The apartment is just beautiful and roomy—the large living spaces and layout of bedrooms allowed us to enjoy one another and also have your own space. The location is excellent and close to metro stops which will get you wherever you need to go.

Wonderful location

We really enjoyed this apartment. The location was excellent, we walked to everything. The apartment is old style but very well done. The kitchen is some distance from the dining room but we did not find that to be a problem. We had a view of the river out of all the front windows. Metro was 2 blocks away. Great restaurants within steps. Ruchon got us parking just a block away and we had two cars. Louis was right there to check us in. Really enjoyed our stay.

Better than the pictures

Just like others have mentioned, the pictures online do not do this property justice. It is amazing. Stunning views over the River Saone across to the Old Town from your balcony. The property was spotless clean and the space was amazing. Jacques the host was brilliant and very accommodating. I know its not the cheapest in the area, but it probably is the best. We have never stayed in anything like this before and we have stayed in some great places. It makes you feel like royalty! Thank you to Jacques and his team for a great unforgettable stay.

Wonderful stay in Lyon!

Our group of six good friends had a wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment on the Soane in Lyon. The pictures don't do it justice - really lovely! It was perfect for our group - everyone had their own bed (two shared the bunk room), the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and there was plenty of storage for clothes and in the bathrooms for toiletries, etc. The 5 bathrooms are 2 with just toilets (one also has a sink) and 3 with showers/sinks (one also has a tub). We never felt like we needed more and no one was ever waiting to use the WC. Plus they are very large with great storage. Check-in was easy and Jacques was very responsive and helpful. Location is excellent - we walked everywhere in the city, and it was also a great starting point for a few day trips to Vienne, Perouges, Annecy, and wine country. I would definitely stay in this beautiful apartment again if I come back to Lyon with a group. Highly recommend!

3 day Family stay in the heart of Lyon

Our check-in went pleasantly well. The apartment is very spacious. I was with my sisters and families who had traveled from USA and Holland. We wanted to cook at the apartment which was a struggle. If you are wanting to cook dinners for a lot of people (we had additional People staying at Sofitel close by), you will find that the kitchen is poorly stocked without ample pots and pans, and even basic kitchen implement like large spoons, spatulas, serving bowls/platters etc. we had been traveling and needed to do laundry, there was no basic supplies like laundry detergent, additional toilet paper, kitchen towels,. It was very hot in Lyon, the beds had winter duvets and no sheets, which meant that we slept with no blanket because the winter duvets are too warm.

Chère Fiona, Je vous remercie pour votre commentaire. Voilà plusieurs années que mon appartement est en location. L'appartement est équipé pour 10 voyageurs. Tout le nécessaire est à disposition, casseroles, poêles, assiettes, couverts... très largement mais certainement pas pour 15 ou 20 personnes! Vous aviez 3 rouleaux de papier toilettes par WC, des pastilles pour lave-vaisselle, des dosettes pour machine à laver le linge, tous les produits de nettoyages, des capsules Nespresso........ Vous avez séjourné à Lyon dans des conditions de très forte chaleur, ils vous suffisaient de prendre la housse de couette si vous désiriez dormir sans ! Je rappelle que votre séjour n'était que de 3 nuits. Les produits laissés gracieusement aux voyageurs sont donc largement suffisant pour un fond de vie, et je déplore qu'il n'est pas été suffisants ! Qu'elle a été ma surprise en ouvrant le frigidaire, plus aucun produit à l'intérieur?! Totalement vide pour la première fois depuis mes débuts chez Abritel?! Si je peux me permettre, j'aurais apprécié de votre part, d'éteindre les lumières avant de partir, d'éteindre les ventilateurs dans les chambres, et de fermer les fenêtres... A moins qu'il soit dans vos habitudes de procéder de la sorte dans votre maison. Très cordialement.

Lyon Paradise!

We stayed in this apartment while we attended the Women's World Cup in Lyon. There was plenty of room for our group (2 parents, 2 grandparents, and 3 kids, ages 6, 10, and 13). The apartment is perfection. It is beautiful and clean and just plain wonderful. You have a great view of the river. You are walking distance to busier/more modern Lyon and just across the river from Old Lyon. We walked or metro'd everywhere from this location with no problem at all. Also, the service was impeccable. Jacques made sure we were met when we arrived (after a long day of travel). We were welcomed with a beautiful bottle of champagne. Also, we were in Lyon during the heat wave, but the apartment does not have air conditioning. I communicated with Jacques about this before arriving, and he made sure we had a new rotary fan in each bedroom. We were as comfortable as we could ever be thanks to those fans. I just couldn't thank him enough for being so responsive and thoughtful. We hope to go back to Lyon again someday, and we wouldn't say anywhere else. This apartment is worth every single penny and then some. We made so many good memories there--playing cards, making dinner, having croissant in the morning. It is just the perfect home away from home. And, we also got great advice from Jacques and his family regarding dinner. The restaurant just around the corner (Le Comptoir Abel) was amazing. The food and service were beyond. They made us feel like we were at home. So, if you are looking for a place to stay in Lyon, book this home right away. You will not be sorry. We already miss it so much!

Brooke and her family are very special travelers !! Very kind, respectful and very pleasant. They booked a year in advance and I was happy to receive for 8 days. I highly recommend Brooke with my eyes closed !! I hope to have the pleasure of receiving them again in my apparetment. In any case they will always be welcome.

Appartement et situation idylliques !

Nous avons bénéficié d'un très bon accueil. Le volume de l'appartement était totalement adapté à notre grande famille. La situation sur les quais de Saône et dans le centre de Lyon nous a permis de nous déplacer à pied en journée mais aussi en soirée pour rejoindre d'excellents Bouchons lyonnais ! Un séjour rempli de beaux et bons moments !!! Merci à Jacques pour son accueil
