This home was just as described. It was a great place to rest, relax and rejuvenate. Loved being able to fish on the back dock. I would absolutely stay here again !!

Location is the best, right on the canal and 4 minute walk to the beach. The kitchen has EVERYTHING. We cooked big meals with ease. The entire property not just the rooms were very clean. There is also a nice dock to fish and crab from. Mr Marks allows the use of the crab traps. Communication was very prompt when I informed Mr Marks we arrived but with great instructions on how everything works none was required during our stay. The interior is extremely cozy and comfortable all around. In other words we felt at ease and at home. The view of Mobile Bay from the back porch, well, no words to explain the beauty. We will be spending all our vacation time at Marks the Spot. Thank you so much Mark & Mellisa Marks.

Relaxation Station

Overall, our stay was wonderful. It was very relaxing, and cozy. The breeze that come off the bay is perfect for an afternoon nap in the hammock. The house had everything we needed and more. Our hostswere very sweet and even checked in on us to make sure we had all we needed.

Great home in a great spot!

This property was very nice. Lots of patio/deck space. Right on the water/cove for the fishermen in our group. Very responsive owners. Everything was clean and comfortable.

We loved this house. It’s in a perfect location on the bay and a straight walk to the beach. The house is equipped with all the things you need for a week of living at the beach. You will need to bring your own beach essentials (chairs/umbrella/ toys) which is what we did. The guys loved fishing off the deck and using the crab traps to catch crabs. The owners are easy to contact if you have any issues or questions.

House was clean, roomy, layed out and stocked well. We loved fishing from the dock on the canal at night and the short walk to the beach access during the day.

Great Get Away

Everything was outstanding! Property was perfect! Caught redfish, specs, and finally a sheepshead! I’ve stayed at 5 different places on the Island in the past 3+ years and this is at the top! Thanks to the Marks!

We can’t say enough good things about this home! The hosts were very friendly and communication was quick and easy. We had no problems during our stay. We enjoyed the beautiful decorations perfectly placed throughout the home! Short walk to the Gulf and lovely views off the back deck. Great location!

My husband and I enjoyed staying here. The house was on the bay side where you could fish and watch wild life and relax. Out the front of the home was a short walk to a wonderful beach. The owners were friendly and helpful. We would stay again:)

Best family getaway

We loved Marks the Spot! It was the perfect location for a relaxing and quiet getaway. It was easy to find and we were able to tie our boat up at the dock and use it all week long! The girls’ favorite part was the swing downstairs and the house was perfect for our family of 4. Very clean, nicely decorated and had all that we needed!

Fishing off the dock

Our family of 5 with 3 kids ages ranging 9-15 had a great time! We brought crab cages and caught crabs which we cooked up. We caught countless Krokers, but no luck with the sheepsheads other fishermen caught just a couple houses down in the same bay. The beach is just down the street, the beach can be seen from the kitchen window.

Our guest enjoy having the best of both worlds of being on the water with their own personal dock and also having such easy access to the beach. The walk from the house to the beach takes about 4-5 minutes.
